About The Camberwell Arms
If you would like to book with us please search for a table on your preferred date and time. If there is no availability please give us a call on 0207 358 4364 and we may be able to find you a table.
The Camberwell Arms is a neighbourhood restaurant offering the best quality produce at affordable prices.
The food at The Camberwell Arms is rooted in high quality produce and simple cookery. Using the best seasonally available fruit and vegetables, dry aged native-breed meat and sustainably caught fish, and our charcoal grill, the menu is a mixture of classic and delicious dishes that fundamentally we want to eat. We make virtually everything we sell in house including all our own butchery.
Sharing plates are a big part of what we do, from our own suet pastry crusted pies to herb fed rotisserie chickens and large steaks.
Had the burrata to start & then we had Leg of Lamb for 3- was one of the best roasts I have had in a long time!
thanks for another excellent meal!
Amazing evening had by 40 of us for a birthday party - this pub is our favourite!!!
Amazing food- I’m telling everyone about it. Chargrilled rabbit was exceptional and the home cured salmon was to die for! Freiendly atmosphere and service just right. Can’t wait to come again
Absolutely fantastic meal at the Camberwell Arms. My favourite dish is the roast chicken but all we have had here has been superb!
The bone marrow pie is actually insane but what stole the show was the fried dough and burrata - holy god what a delight! Cannot wait to come back!!
I had the Sussex beer and my wife some larger which were both what they were supposed to be so if you like Sussex beer and whatever the lager was my wife had, then I recommend you have it. This was followed with the Fried little artichoke and lemon which was uninspiring for me, very small fried pieces of little taste, I wished I'd ordered something else, the asparagus looked good as it went past me to another table. My main was the cheese ravioli with pea which was lovely with the pasta being cooked just right. My wife chose a super garlicy chick pea focaccia tapenade yellow & green courgette concoction which she said was the best thing she'd had in a restaurant for a long time, I had a little and would have to agree. A slight negative with my wife's meal was, although I love olive oil and use a lot myself, we both thought her meal had a little too much oil sitting in the bottom of the bowl...and this coming from someone who went through a phase of drinking a tot of olive oil in the mornings after once seeing a very old man in Greece doing the same and me coming to the conclusion this would induce long life. We'd go again and I suggest you do.
As always, the food was absolutely delicious and the service lovely. It convinced my strictly north of the river dad that south of the river might actually be better!
Second time eating here, this time for my Birthday. Great food and drink for all, lovely staff and all in all a great experience.
Booked the upstairs room for 25 people for my wife’s 40th birthday and everyone could not believe what great food food and service we were delivered, great experience and would happily book again, many thanks to Joe and his excellent team.
Absolutely fabulous place for a relaxed Sunday lunch - really interesting menu, brilliantly prepared. Great wine list and good beers all in a very, very pleasant atmosphere and the service is brilliant!
Andrew was an exceptional host. Food was first class- really fresh and beautifully cooked. Friday was a little quiet, hence the lower score for atmosphere. Staff were wonderfully welcoming and made us very relaxed even though we had our young dog with us. Thank you for a lovely experience.
lived up to reputation on food - service lovely - friendly and efficient - and fair - half our party were late and they were polite but clear from the start regarding the time restriction on our table - and allowed us leeway on it. will be back for more pie. top notch
Fabulously tasty and inventive food
Love the Camberwell Arms! Have been twice before on a Sunday. This was the 1st time I've visited in the evening. The food is great. I had Burrata which was heavenly, followed by Chicken Blanquette which was hearty and tasty. Service was excellent as usual. The staff are attentive and friendly. My only suggestion would be to PLEASE add Yorkshire puds to your Sunday menu. Lunch is not the same without them!
Dear Sir/Madam, We recently celebrated our wedding reception at the Camberwell Arms on Saturday the 21st of April and I can't stress enough what a wonderful time it was. From our first communication with the pub the response was swift, attentive and tailored. This theme carried on throughout or experience. Joe and Niall were absolutely perfect in the way they gave us multiple options for the food, went back to the kitchen with our questions and then replied with what was feasible (as the pub was also open to the paying public). To be honest everything we requested we essentially received, for which we are truly thankful. The upstairs room, where we held our reception, isn't much to look at but by the time we arrived the team at the Camberwell Arms made it look most inviting. Indeed, one of our wedding party was a florist and commented on how excellent the bouquets were! If there was one complaint to be had it was that some of the bottles of white wine weren't cold enough. Once this was pointed out multiple ice buckets arrived in mere seconds and normal service could resume. The food, as we've come to expect from the pub, was exceptional. Our guests were delighted with the food and there were smiling faces all round. We'd like to take this opportunity formally thank the staff at the Camberwell Arms for making our special day that much more easy by taking such a weight of our shoulders. We'd recommend this pub to anyone! Best regards, Stuart
Fantastic atmosphere, food and wine. Staff are brilliant and the pub itself is so warm and welcoming
Great food and great service, will be coming back when I get a chance. Another vegan option would be great.
The best neighbourhood restaurant in London - I love this place!
Brilliant! Delicious food, lovely atmosphere and great service. Thanks so much.
Excellent meal and service.
The service was absolutely amazing. We had a waiter called Jacob who was extremely helpful and patient! He made our experience a great one. The only criticisms we had is that firstly the slow cooked lamb with dauphinoise potatoes was great but a little bland- we were all reaching for the salt which helped a lot. The other criticism is that I was told at the time of booking that a party of 10 was the absolute maximum that we were allowed. This was graciously extended to 13 before the booking but it meant that we had to exclude a lot of friends from the meal due to space restrictions. However when we arrived, we were seated upstairs and a the table next to us which seated about 10 people remained empty for the 3-4 hrs of our time there. The extra table could have helped us out massively!
Absolutely fantastic food, never failed me yet!
