About The Camberwell Arms
If you would like to book with us please search for a table on your preferred date and time. If there is no availability please give us a call on 0207 358 4364 and we may be able to find you a table.
The Camberwell Arms is a neighbourhood restaurant offering the best quality produce at affordable prices.
The food at The Camberwell Arms is rooted in high quality produce and simple cookery. Using the best seasonally available fruit and vegetables, dry aged native-breed meat and sustainably caught fish, and our charcoal grill, the menu is a mixture of classic and delicious dishes that fundamentally we want to eat. We make virtually everything we sell in house including all our own butchery.
Sharing plates are a big part of what we do, from our own suet pastry crusted pies to herb fed rotisserie chickens and large steaks.
Amazing food, wine and service. Love this place
Another great night and meal.
So the lighting was a bit in my face But the food was the most delicious I’ve had in a long time. Salt cod and greens, and then a massive plate of tomatoes mozzarella and bread - I’m still thinking about it ... 💕
Th staff was polite and friendly. And very accommodating considering we were a large group with several children. And thank you for letting us bring our own birthday cake.
Fantastic place. Real treat. Amazing food, staff and atmosphere
Lovely staff, good steak Although not as rare as asked for, and a rich cut like aged sirloin needs a sauce that cuts through it a bit rather than an eggy béarnaise. Still delighted to have this as my local, will be back for the lamb!
Your waitstaff are just so lovely. We were three people eating at the end of the long table. As usual, commenced with the beer onions. Then fish for us and vegetables and pork for my guest. Thank you for another great evening.
Amazing food as always! Thanks
Amazing food, personalised service and great buzzing atmosphere! Will definitely back come back!
Very good service, food was excellent. Will definitely recommend to friends and family!
Really great meal, we were running late and no issue with putting table back a bit, been a few time to camberwell arms and always love it!
Great service and pie
The food was lovely but a little pricey and unfortunately our waiter was quite overbearing. Whilst I love the Camberwell arms, we found it a little awkward that our server was so over-friendly and pulled up a chair to sit with us on multiple occasions. I also feel that a "discretionary" service charge should be just that, you should opt in rather than opt out of a charge that has already been added to the bill.
Most delicious Sunday lunch - thank you so much Camberwell Arms!
Great food, great service and nice atmosphere. Will definitely go again.
Crab soup was a standout - absolutely fantastic. Roast potatoes were also probably the best we have had. Salt marsh lamb was ok while the chocolate dessert was underwhelming. Too rich and frankly cloying without enough raspberry to cut through it. Service was polite. Disappointed by the lack of children’s menu - this ought to have been made clear at the time of booking or when the reservation was confirmed as the reservation was clearly made for 2 children within the party.
Excellent food and service, although a little bit pricey (however may have something to do with the amount of wine we drank!)
As usual the food and service were outstanding. The only criticism would be that if you are going to have Aperol Spritz on your drinks menu you need the right glassware. Using your regular wine glass to make this meant that once the Aperol and ice were in the glass it left about 3cm of glass for the soda and about a tablespoon of prosecco this isn't up to your usual amazingly high standards.
We had our wedding lunch at the Camberwell Arms and completely loved it. The team were really accommodating and friendly, both before and during the day itself. The food was spectacular and the kitchen augmented the menu to meet our dietary habits and requests - they really went above and beyond. The private room was decorated just in advance of the wedding and was filled with nice paintings and plants, but they also allowed us to bring our own decorations too. We had a really brilliant day - thanks to all of the team
We've had a lot of company-wide meals out (there are 24 of us!) and this was by far the best, most relaxing day out we'd had. The food, atmosphere and service was amazing. The amount of food was great too, sharing platters can be difficult but the portions were very generous and very affordable. Huge thank you to Joanna who helped set up, and cater for everyone's dietary requirements, and also to the chefs and staff on the day. It was a seamless day and everyone was very happy! Also, our vegan was ecstatic that the pudding she was served wasn't just a fruit salad!
Had a thoroughly enjoyable Sunday afternoon, the Bone Marrow Pie to share was to die for and accompanied with a nice bottle of red. Also loved the curried crab 😊
Impeccable service, food was out of this world, great lighting and atmosphere. 5 stars!
Fine food. Unusual combinations and great sesame ice cream.
