About The Buxton
The Buxton is a pub & Hotel at the bottom of Brick Lane in East London. We serve a small a la carte menu of regional British and European dishes with a focus on sourcing & seasonality.
Staff were great, as was the food
Really lovely service and a warm environment. Portion sizes for bar snacks were ideal for a sharing lunch between friends and would be a perfect location for a catch up and snack after work
The service was lovely but the food was, really lacking. We had to send back our roasts as the meat was inedible and far too fatty. The puddings were disappointing too as the panna cotta was more like a milky cereal. Plus the seats are stools up at a high table. All of us found this really uncomfortable and not convenient
Lovely team, delicious food (the bavette), great beer (the stout) and the place looks amazing. Well done guys!
Lovely service and food. Cheese platter was a touch overpriced vs the charcuterie version which seemed very generous. Otherwise good value and will recommend.
Love the friendly, cosmopolitan staff and chilled ambiance. Location is super convenient and atmospheric. A great companion to the Culpeper, although not totally convinced by the glass bathroom doors!
Friendly staff, swift service, great food. Intimate atmosphere.
We had a wonderful Sunday lunch at your spot, and we'll definitely come back during our next trip to London. Merci beaucoup !
Thank you very much for a very pleasant stay at your wonderful pub and hotel. We liked everything about it! Beautiful decor, personal service and very good food! We will certainly be back in the near future! Kind regards Katrine and Eskild, Oslo, Norway
Thanks a lot to Butxon’s team for their kindness! Excellent service, food is amazing, top quality wines and cocktails, we will be back again and again!
We are big Culpeper fans and have stayed many times so wanted to try this new sister hotel. The room was very small but lovely decor and very clean. The shelf over the sink in our room 12 was in a very awkward position. We appreciated our welcome drink but the waitress added it to the bill which we had to ask to be taken off. We were on the top floor so exhausted for a couple of mature folk to climb but all in all really enjoyed it! Great lunch and fantastic breakfast. The food made the whole experience for us.
Stunning food, beautiful wine, wonderful service. One of the best evenings I’ve had in London.
Had a great time. My girlfriend turned up in a bad mood and the food cheered her right up.
If the bed had been comfortable and the rooms had secondary glazing - to reduce the street noise and I had had a top floor room - so I didn’t hear all the noise above - I wouid recommend
really great food, love the natural wine
Wonderful! The food, cocktails and service were all exceptional.
Excellent excellent excellent considerate and helpful staff! Excellent excellent food and general ambience. It was a wonderful stay and by staying for a few days we had the opportunity to explore the very interesting precinct - community gardens, markets, buildings, lovely art gallery..... compact rooms means being an organised traveller!
Clement was outstanding on arrival and attended to all our needs throughout. Rooms a little small but great value for money. Fresh milk in rooms definitely needed.
grab a seat at the bar and enjoy a wonderful evening of good food and wine
The service was attentive but relaxed and really friendly. The food is delicious. The 2 of us ate at the counter were leg room is a bit tight if you’re tall! I also wondered how we would manage with a larger number of people for dinner...
Excellent food, nice vibe on a Friday
Fantastic place, great food, great service and I would definitely recommend.
Such a great place to eat and have a few drinks. Food was exceptional and all the staff were so friendly and attentive (the right amount) will definitely be back
