A memorable experience for a special occasion.
Lovely afternoon tea perfect sandwich choice and warm scones
Amazing service Friendly staff Could not be better
Wonderful experience as usual.
Me and my husband had a wonderful afternoon tea experience this Sunday to celebrate a postponed first anniversary treat (thanks to covid). The atmosphere was so peaceful. The service absolutely fantastic. And the food was just delicious.... the best scones I’ve ever had!! We think we are going to make it an annual tradition... we highly recommend.
It was (again) a very special evening. The food was superb the service exemplary and the setting simply wonderful. Thank you all.
Had a lovely evening , every thing was superb . The staff are delightful . Will certainly be back
Superb as usual both food and service. Well done even changed the room no hassle.
We had an amazing night and stay and we will be back
Big Thanks to James and the staff for another relaxing 4 day break. Everyone goes out of their way to make you welcome, feel Covid Safe and assist in any way - even sausages for our dog Lady in the bistro
We had a reservation for afternoon tea and both thoroughly enjoyed our experience. It was our first time visiting the Burlington Restaurant and we will most certainly returning in the New Year :)
We were so entertained by the lovely staff, particularly the gentleman from Burnsall, a real character, utterly professional, but also capable of doing stand up at the London Palladium. Exquisite food. Perfect evening, thank you. Kim
Superb food. Well worth s visit for a special occasion. Lovely staff and lovely surroundings. We’ll be back.
Tier requirements affecting atmosphere
All together a very enjoyable experience.
The service was good, professional and courteous. The decor and facilities were all in excellent and spotless condition. Atmosphere was lacking, particularly so close to Christmas, even allowing for Covid and the recent re-opening. Two lights were either switched off or in need of repair/bulb in the conservatory. The afternoon tea was acceptable, if not outstanding. Two knives each would have been appreciated, one for savoury, one for sweet. Two, rather than one, of the tiny pots of jam would also have prevented a typically British, 'no you, no you, I insist' moment. In essence adequate, but no great wish to return based on this experience with so many seemingly better alternatives elsewhere.
Not as good as yesterday. Yoghurt not good. Poached eggs black and horrible. Fried eggs poor. Different breakfast chef to Sunday??
Good breakfast. Scrambled eggs (two?) dry and black pudding too crisp.
Excellent and interesting food. Attentive, efficient and friendly service in charming surroundings.
Felt really safe with all measures in place. We enjoyed our break . Lovely food friendly staff and rooms comfortable lovely views from all rooms. Would definitely recommended
Exquisite food, lovely setting, charming service. Thank you.
Every time I come I enjoy it immensely the staff are fantastic. The only down side this time. Was we couldn't leave our dogs in reception while we had our meal. They don't like been left in a strange room on their own. This is one of the reason we choose to come back. Your staff are just as amazing with the dogs as you are with us. Hope to see you again in better times
