About The Bull Inn
The traditional. local, family English pub. Dog - welly friendly.
Great lunch in a proper country pub and I could bring my dog.
Really warm an friendly staff and very tolerant of small children. We could have stayed by the fire all aftenoon! We will definitely return.
v pleasant lunch. sitting by the litle coridor through to the main restaurant, facing the bar, was a touch drafty. A cold draft slightly took the edge of the lunch. Staff were lovely throughout.
Great food, great service.
Great meal again!
Great food and excellent night on
Had a lovely Sunday roast here after a long walk from Bruton. Everything was utterly delicious and the pub itself was warm and welcoming, especially to our little terrier Harry. Still dreaming about the roast beef and the sticky toffee pudding. A wonderful family-friendly restaurant with great food and loads of character!
The food was good and reasonably priced, and the welcome and service were really efficient and pleasant. The Norwegian Blue should be a permanent addition! Please keep up the excellent work!
Delicious meal, lovely fireside atmosphere. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Always welcoming and utterly delicious
Excellent, classic pub food elevated and done faultlessly in an old, shabby, charming pub. Highly recommended!
Lovely pub, food is really good, staff are great. Particularly love the fire on a wet winter's day!
Very good food. Disappointed the wet weather meant children couldn’t use the playground.
Very smiley service but super slow. Also burger for my daughter was very very rare, she left the middle as practically raw [and we didn't complain] but we were very impressed that the waiter noticed and refunded the cost of the burger.
Fantastic Sunday roast with tasty seasonal ingredients. I would 100% recommend eating at The Bull Inn.
Playground is a great addition. Very happy 3 and 5 year old.
lovely cosy evening with wind and rain outside. Good pub food (great cod), friendly service and not expensive. Will return. Duncan + 3
Lovely pub but not a massive menu. No good if you're a bit of a fussy eater. Would like to have seen a chicken dish on the menu even a chicken burger would have been a good option. No pasta or lasagne either. I'm not a fussy eater but I know people who would struggle here. Luckily there was chicken curry on the specials which waa delicious. Can't complain at all about the standard of food here just personal pub favourites weren't there!
Been going to the Bull for many years and very relieved to find that your relaunched relaunch maintained its previous standards. It’s quite a drive for us but the food always lives up to its promise. Our service yesterday was great - good welcome and attention to detail throughout. Marked you down on atmosphere though as I always loathed that carpet and not sure it improves with age (so please don’t tell me that it’s a retro replacement)! Everything else seems to be curated to add a few new touches to the traditional, which given the clientele and location, is probably a wise decision.
Great local pub
Lovely Sunday lunch. Beef was tender and cooked to perfection. Good service and friendly cheerful staff. Will definitely be going again.
Great Sunday lunch and friendly staff
Very busy sunday lunchtime. Waitresses spent a lot of time apologising to guests. No problem with our own service, but it put you on edge. I booked for 2.15 and booked at around midday. In retrospect, the booking system's cut off point should be lower, as it was just too busy to really relax and enjoy. Ice cream was delicious was was the red cabbage. Whole thing could have been seasoned a bit ore to bring out the flavour. We would come back, but probably mid week when its less busy The pub is great...keep going
