Everything was excellent. Felt very safe with the covid measures in place, and these helped us relax. Food and drink were fantastic, and as a vegan this was the best food I had from anywhere in Anglesey/anywhere I’ve been in general. There weren’t any vegan options marked on the dessert menu, but when I asked the waiter was able to check with the chef and he offered me two alternatives to choose from (I had a brownie) very impressed!
Poor quality food and overpriced. Very disappointing
Slightly chaotic service, table not set had to ask for both cutlery & then napkins. The ‘not prawn cocktail special’ while very nice was served in an impractical martini type glass which was not sitting on a side plate, no where to place cutlery. My husband received the wrong main course & while rectified, it meant I was eating alone while he waited for his dinner. As this was his birthday, not quite what we planned.
Great steak and lovely interiors!
We've been patronising Coach (and its previous iterations) for around 20 years and consider ourselves fans and loyal customers, so it is a pity that the food on our last visit fell below the usual standards. We've ordered the fish and chips many times and it is always great, but this time it was truly awful. On asking a staff member what kind of fish (the menu now just states “fish and chips”, not the type of fish) I was told rather snappily that the fish was cod, but the colour was a nasty brown more characteristic of its cheaper cousin pollock. Too-thin batter meant that the outside was well-browned but the fish inside was barely cooked, the skin flabby and translucent - only the edges were edible. The £17 price tag was therefore not commensurate with the quality. Despite providing feedback on the poor fish when asked, there was no further acknowledgement or apology. After the main course, no-one came back to our table to take a dessert order. On the plus side, despite the loss of several tables due to Covid-19 measures the restaurant still retains a nice atmosphere and the wine list is good, but ultimately we left feeling disappointed. Come on Coach, you can do better than this!
Excellent food and service would go back again
Delicious food and lovely staff - highlight of our entire holiday!
Lovely place., Great food, would reccommend.
Excellent service and a very tasty meal.
Fantastic food and service. Our best meal out since Covid by a long way. It feels very safe, with tables well spaced and proper attention to hygiene but still with a warm relaxed atmosphere. Food was really delicious. We had a great evening out and would highly recommend. We have already booked to go again.
Lovely surroundings and lovely food. Only small criticism is I didn’t like the way my burger was served in a fast food kinda way. Looked much better unwrapped on the plate
Excellent service and food. Menu a bit limited
Due to COVID-19 the experience wasn’t great. The menu was limited and we we’re told there was no crab and fish & chips so not great. However, we have been to the restaurant several times and always had a great experience. This we are sure is a one off.
We had drinks in the traditional bar area prior to dinner in Coach. The hygiene and social distancing was taken seriously in this establishment. Someone on duty in the reception area to check arrivals, and ensure there were tables before sending us through. Food was great, super burgers. Loved the contrast from old style bar to the airy restaurant areas.
We had a lovely meal, but felt it was rather overpriced for the very standard dishes received. Vegetables would have been delicious if cooked for a few minutes longer. My daughters loved the desserts!
Good staff. Well turned out. Love the wine coloured trousers and the blue shirts. It is hard to hear them telling you things with the visors but they are lovely staff. Social distancing can kill atmosphere but I think you have it just right. The Gordon Bennett omlette was fab.
Great as always
Lovely setting, food somewhat over priced for the quality. For example the fish and chips!
Food was amazing. Scallops cooked to perfection and wonderful specials. The show stopping chocolate sphere was a treat for adults and children alike. Service was great, especially the adaptations made for Covid-19 which put us at ease. Children were well catered for and their meals came with our starters. We have been many, many times to the Bull and it never disappoints. Highly recommended.
Fantastic meal - would recommend to anyone visiting Beaumaris and will certainly be back
Super Sunday lunch and amazing Monday evening meal - couldn't fault the food or service. The staff were very professional and we felt very safe. We are looking forward to returning soon.
We had a delicious meal. Thrilled to have burger in sour dough bun. The lobster ravioli special was a huge hit, as was the white Cosmo. Excellent social distanced dining and cafe by the staff. We will be coming again.
Two of the party said the smoke salmon was the best they have ever had!
Fantastic food and service as usual!! 5 star.
