Great food in a great setting with helpful and friendly staff.
We had a very pleasant Sunday lunch at the Bull. The young lady who greeted us and took our order was very professional, courteous and efficient.
We enjoyed a very good evening at the Bull, A good choice on the menu , and very tasty dishes beautifully presented. Service was very efficient and not rushed allowing the right amount of time between courses.
We had The Bull Room for my wife’s birthday party and the night went off without a hitch. The whole staff were excellent! Thank you all very much.
Fantastic stay at The Bull, a charming old building, beautifully restored. Lovely staff, great food. Will be back.
Even when every table is booked, service doesn't slip one bit. Fantastic atmosphere and lovely interior.
Overall, we enjoyed the food, which was very good. However, I think the pricing is a bit higher than I would like. Staff were very personable and attentive.
The Bull is a local favourite, great atmosphere, delicious food and fantastic service every time.
I feel I should be recommending the Bull but it's not wholehearted. 5 of us had sunday lunch there. - the Roast beef was ok, but gristly and the roast spuds were tired. Just a drop of gravy, but they supplied more when asked. - the fish and chips were good, but there was too much batter and not enough fish. The restaurant wasn't busy until c. 1:30 In summary, it's been done up well, but the food doesn't compare well to the local competition.
I’d booked dinner at The Bull to celebrate my 30th birthday with 16 guests. The food was fantastic and everyone had a great time!
This is my first visit back to the Bull since its refurbishment and I was not disappointed. I am so glad that the bar area has not been changed too much because it meant that the atmosphere has been retained. I was staying on a Friday night and ate in the bar area. The staff were very busy with a lot of footwork involved to take and deliver meal orders to the many nooks and crannies on the ground floor where tables and chair are set up, but there was no delay between order and food arriving. My room was excellent and the decor very restful and I could see that they had made a lot of effort to provide what today's customer expects, though I think there was some conflict between modern fittings and pipes and the much older infrastructure of the building with a few odd clunks when the shower was being used. Actually, this added rather than distracted from the charm of the place, which has most definitely been retained. Well done for all the hard work to refurbish The Bull and your staff the weekend I was staying deserve a pat on the back for all their hard work keeping customers happy both in the restaurant and bar areas.
Cold snowy evening so it was understandably quiet. Nice fire. Service very good. I ordered pork in a bap, I didn’t think this worked unless you really like fat. I didn’t enjoy it. Husband had sausages and mash which he liked. I had a very nice chocolate mousse. At £7, however, it was very expensive. Taking everything into consideration, it was an average experience- could be better.
The food is always great. The staff are lovely and the venue is beautiful.
Enjoyed a second visit to The Bull for dinner. Enjoyable evening - staff lovely - nice food.
Lovely food. Would recommend to a friend
Great, imaginative, food, served in a warm and welcoming environment. Front of house staff are all extremely friendly. My only reservation was the time we waited between mains and puddings. 50 minute delays, for fairly simple dishes on non busy mid week nights is a little too long in my view. Bedrooms newly refurbished to a high standard. All in all a great stay and we would return.
We had such a fantastic time at The Bull. From the moment we stepped in through the doors we were welcomed in with a smile a gin and a real fire. Our room was gorgeous very luxurious and the cleanest we have ever seen. Its a really quirky place and very homely . The food is to die for all fresh and presented beautifully,we nearly licked our plates clean. But most of all the staff are outstanding and a real credit to The Bull, what a fabulous working family you all our. We will most definitely be back thank you for one of the most memorable birthday weekends.
Excellent lunch. Outstanding service
Excellent food, smart rooms, nice people, always a pleasant stay.
Very consistent high level of food and service, with this new opening by the Snows
Fantastic service and atmosphere . Food was all delicious!
Very good food great value and an interesting take on a menu, being able to choose from various types of menu rather than either bar or restaurant or pasta
Excellent evening spent at The Bull
