About The Broughton
The Broughton Pub and Eatery is the latest go to venue on Broughton Street.
Located on a traditional site, The Broughton rises from the ashes.. to embrace the new while giving a respectful nod to the familiar, making it a venue that welcomes all. Its why we call it Everyone’s Local.
We give you, your favourite drinks along with consistent refined comfort food and a delicious Sunday Roast.
We look forward to having you.
Amazing service and top quality Sunday roast. Best Yorkshire`s had in Scotland :-)
Lovely lunch, food very good, waiter friendly and attentive. All safety measures followed. Thanks so much. Hope to see you soon.
Food was incredible
Excellent. Men had Sunday roast pork belly: women chose two starters - all were very happy. We had non-alcoholic lager and a cocktail. It all felt almost normal.
Brilliant food and amazing service. Welcoming atmosphere. The Broughton has made the best out of a really difficult situation. I would definitely recommend a visit.
Excellent service excellent food and will be even better when drinks are allowed. My go to bar and restaurant.
Superb service and fantastic food that is excellent quality. At the moment tasty non alcoholic cocktails are being offered. This place is a great restaurant and bar that we keep returning to. I have seen the cleaning of tables, sanitiser everywhere and trust this place in these times of Covid. I highly recommend The Broughton.
We had a fantastic Sunday roast lunch. The staff were very friendly ,we enjoyed our visit and would definitely be back.
Food was fantastic, went for the Sunday roast and was not disappointed. Service was great, lovely staff, very accommodating. Will absolutely be back again. Covid ruining the fun so no music but can’t wait to return!
The new lunch menu was misleading saying one course was £16.50 so we asked the waiter if that applied to starters and puddings. We settled for starters, arancini and salami, both excellent, the pickled apple being fab. For our "main" course we had cauliflower cheese and chips, both massive portions. One of each would have been sufficient. However the main drawback is that we were very cold despite sitting next to a very lovely looking radiator which was hot but not radiating. And I recalled that I had same experience earlier in year. Service was superb.
Brilliant Sunday lunch at the Broughton! Great service and social distancing measures in place. The mocktails (although we didn’t have one) looked beautiful. My husbands roast looked beautiful, the only slight disappointment for me as a veggie was the lack of roast but my risotto was beautiful and I added a Yorkshire pudding so I wasn’t missing out completely. We will definitely be back
Delicious food, lovely bar and décor.
Great food. Well worth a visit at the weekend for the roast
As always food really good and the staff are always happy to help and chat. Did lack a bit of atmosphere but this is due to the COVID restrictions. Glad we could still visit and already booked for Returning In December if possible.
We were just in for drinks. The service was outstanding (an Irish gentleman, Looked after us very well, didn't catch his name) The atmosphere was great too (even without music) We can't wait to come back and try the food!
The service was fantastic. food brilliant and staff friendly and welcoming. Will be returning when it opens again.
Best Sunday roast I’ve ever had for such a good price, enough for a special occasion and cheap enough to go semi-frequently. Highly recommend and very covid safe!
Lovely meal and service
First time and I loved it Thank you for a fab evening
Enjoyed a great dinner and drinks last night and couldn't fault it. Food was lovely and rh staff were very attentive. I'll be back!
Great venue with quality products and service.
Lovely restaurant and bar, relaxed low key attentive service from floor staff. Our meal was delicious from start to finish with bread rolls, hash brown, silk like soup, partridge ( exceptional, moist and crumbed) with tasty plated hake dishy with triple cooked chips. Would really have liked a desert but I'm afraid we were both too full so in order to try this we would definitely go back and would recommend others try as you will dine well and be safe in a Covid 19 safe space.
When booking online, we were advised that the table booking was for 1hr45mins. When we arrived at the bar, we weren't told that the table was required back at a specific time, so we were surprised when the bill was brought over to us unannounced when we still had half of our drinks left. The waiting staff proceeding to try to take our drinks away, and stand over us in an intimidating manner until we downed them. Whilst I appreciate there was a time limit, the way the staff dealt with it was entirely unprofessional and unnecessary, and ruined our experience. We won't be returning.
The staff, venue and food were all lovely. Would definitely book here again!
