About The Bridge Cheshire
In the very heart of rural Cheshire lies the picturesque and unspoilt village of Prestbury of which the Bridge is the keystone.
A grade II listed country pub, restaurant and hotel, it connects quirky decor matched with country comforts. Since 1952, The Bridge in Prestbury has boasted luxurious accomodation, fine food, morning coffee, afternoon tea, private dining facilities, and a welcoming bar and restaurant. The seasonal menus promote the local farmers, foragers and gardeners of Cheshire.
Whilst I cannot fault the food the service left much to be desired. We were left waiting for an hour then had to ask if our table was ready, this was a special silver anniversary. This was an afternoon booking and once we were seated it took another hour to serve the 1st course. Once we ordered our dessert it took another 40 minutes for it to be served after having to summon a waiter to take our order. Very disappointing and will not be returning.
Needs some kind of background music. Cask beers were flat and need to be more well known. Staff very helpful and friendly.
More members of staff on duty would have improved the level of service. However the staff that were on duty were attentive and friendly and the food was very good.
The food was excellent and we will certainly be back
Incredible food - interesting and surprising! Great service, friendly and funny staff, relaxed and professional despite an obviously important and busy evening. Beautifully decorated, great room temp and space between tables.
A very good all round experience.
It was great to be in the Bridge and see it, in its new glory. The menu is super and our food was very good. I would say my squid was too salty but apart from that it was great.
We had the "Fork Out Less" early dinner menu. Food was pleasant but with limited choice if you wanted meat or fish. Restaurant was quiet as it was early. The recent refurbishment has given the restaurant and, particularly bar area, a more comfortable feel.
We really enjoyed the food and great service but was really disappointed with the refurbishment. Some parts were good but we preferred what it used to be. But then again that is just personal opinion . Apart from that great service and food and would recommend
Nice evening, initial opinion on your 1st week after opening the whole decor is great, the bar is in a far better position encouraging a more informal feel and the ability to have a drink at the bar or in the casual cozy seating area. There is a brighter feel to the restaraunt and a feeling that you can make your occasion formal or more casual. The menu we felt was a little limited compared to others in the village but again this is probably expected as only just opened. The staff are attentive missed a few things but nothing to worry about early days for them. Overall a good evening and look forward to visiting again
We are disappointed with the food quality and service. I hope it’s a glitch starting up.
Great to be back at the Bridge - many thanks to Brian and the staff for looking after us so nicely!
Great food and service. Some ‘different’ dishes on a short menu. Great to see The Bridge reopened. Love the use of colour throughout. As neighbours across the road we will definitely be back.
