About The Bridge Cheshire
In the very heart of rural Cheshire lies the picturesque and unspoilt village of Prestbury of which the Bridge is the keystone.
A grade II listed country pub, restaurant and hotel, it connects quirky decor matched with country comforts. Since 1952, The Bridge in Prestbury has boasted luxurious accomodation, fine food, morning coffee, afternoon tea, private dining facilities, and a welcoming bar and restaurant. The seasonal menus promote the local farmers, foragers and gardeners of Cheshire.
Every person in the party agreed it was the best meal we'd had at this time of year.
The Dining experience and food was excellent. Friendly attentive service. Have already recommended you to others!
The hotel was very welcoming and the staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was of a very high standard.
A lovely meal, every one enjoyed what they requested. Service was just right. Sat next to a speaker music was a little loud, did ask for it to be turned down a little which the staff obliged. Thank you
Lovely setting, great food and very good service.
We would have liked more meat choices on the menu.
A surprise for my friends birthday. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Great service and lovely food. Perfect.
First class food and service a big credit to all concerned.
Delicious Sunday lunch. The points I raised in my last review have been addressed. Recommend the Argentinian Malbec, although it would be nice to drink it out of a finer glass. I don't like the bog standard cheap pub type wine glasses. I hope you've got some classier ones on order.
To avoid confusion when serving, special dietary requirements should come out first thus avoiding some people accepting the wrong food too soon. Just an observation. Apart from that, everything was perfect and made my birthday really special. Thank you.
my wife and I enjoyed the stay at the bridge hotel our room was O.K the ceiling was way out of date ceiling tiles not very good the carpet could do with replacing but not bad when booking I was told 3 courses for the evening meal off the main menu it was £25 allowance each off the main menu 3 times I asked till some one told me but we enjoyed our stay and would stay again it is a nice little one night stay
Thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. Staff very friendly and courteous. There was a delay with our starters but this was resolved to our mutual satisfaction
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in peaceful surroundings.
The new decor and menu are fantastic and the service excellent. Food was delicious. Beef croquette on scallop starter slightly overdone but an excellent meal which everyone enjoyed. Great that you now have a kids menu too. Our third visit in a month and will be back.
The room we occupied (room 12) was tired and in need of updating. The mattress certainly needed replacement Everything was very clean. The food was excellent.
A couple of hitches with availability of starters however this was rectified very effectively and the food we did have was absolutely delicious. There were very few people in on the night we chose and consequently that affected the ambience on that occasion however we would definitely return and look forward to our next visit.
A very good evening
An excellent stay. All the staff were superb.
We entertained a friend to lunch on 26.10.18. After lunch we moved to the lounge and had pots of tea until it was time to take the train back to London. Our meal was extremely nice, service was extremely pleasant and courteous and timely. We will certainly dine with you again. In fact, we have already booked our table for New Year's Eve. (The only drawback on our visit yesterday was the screaming child in the restaurant. Most disturbing of the other-wise pleasant restaurant.)
Staff seemed happy in their work. Efficient. Dinner and breakfast excellent.
Excellent food excellent service a huge improvement on the old place. Love the new decor just need more customers to create some atmosphere.
Food was excellent
The chef is clearly highly skilled; the food was fabulous. Will definitely return The new ownership clearly know what they are doing!
Whilst I cannot fault the food the service left much to be desired. We were left waiting for an hour then had to ask if our table was ready, this was a special silver anniversary. This was an afternoon booking and once we were seated it took another hour to serve the 1st course. Once we ordered our dessert it took another 40 minutes for it to be served after having to summon a waiter to take our order. Very disappointing and will not be returning.
