Nothing too much trouble, helpful and attentive staff and lovely food
Lunch was deliciously tasty. Staying over for my daughter's birthday. Staff helpful and friendly as usual. Prices are somewhat extravagant even for Rockliffe.
We had a very pleasant dinner in the Brasserie. Greeted and shown to the table by Colin who was helpful and attentive. Food and drink were excellent.
Food was lovely - especially the chocolate fondant. Only issue was the coffees which took ages and when they came were cold (and not very nice!).
Amazing, very friendly staff could not do enough for you nothing was a problem just overall outstanding!
Food was excellent, especially the crème brûlée and the Bread pudding. Staff were very attentive and happy in their work.
The service and food was excellent, highly recommend
Food was delicious and it's usual high standard but I thought waiting 25 minutes for a small bowl of soup served with a sandwich was a little too long. Especially when table was booked for 2pm which should is outside your busiest lunch period.
Very tasty meal and excellent service. Atmosphere a little quiet as very few people eating tge night we were there.
We arrived for a spa day which included our meal, a spa treatment and use of the spa facilities. We had a lovely time and all the staff were very professional and the lunch was lovely couldn’t fault the service. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.
The spa day was to celebrate my sister’s upcoming special birthday & I couldn’t fault the day-it was excellent from start to finish. My sister has food allergies & was allowed to bring her own food so she could eat her lunch with us. Some places aren’t as accommodating. Whilst the spa was undergoing refurbishment it did not impact on our day & spending 2 hours in the spa garden at the end of the day just completed a perfect day.
Excellent evening with my family. Delicious food and the service was first class. Highly recommended.
We fully enjoyed our dinning experience. Staff, service and food was absolutely amazing. Can’t wait to visit again.
Beautiful food and perfect service.
It was an absolute treat eating in the brasserie after a twilight spa. All 3 of us chose different options from the menu and all 6 dishes were gorgeous.
The light lunch was terrible- stale sandwiches and poor soup.
Excellent fillet steak, using pre-cut chips though or the chips have been cut much earlier in the day and left out too long before cooking and tasted dry. If your going to be charged dollar for your food then the entire meal should be up to scratch not just the steak.
Great staff and service. Food delicious. No complaints
Amazing food, service wasn’t as good, we had to wait about 10 mins for drinks, if it wasn’t for me asking the waiter I don’t know how much longer we would of been waiting. You expect better service from a 5 star hotel.
The service we received was poor in comparison to the rest of the hotel and certainly not to a 5 star standard. We felt ignored by the staff, having to wait a long time for both food and drinks. My husband sat without a drink for 45 mins, unable to catch the attention of the server. The food was also very poor. My scallops were inedible due to being full of sand/grit and my husbands crab was full of shell. I mentioned to the waitress about the scallops but she didn’t give us the opportunity to discuss the crab, or ask why he hadn’t eaten any of his starter. The bread, starters and our children’s meals all came at once after a 50 minute wait, which you can imagine with an 18 month old hungry child was somewhat distressing. It would have been helpful if the bread had arrived pre starter to bridge the waiting time. The attitude of the staff was poor, and when I gave feedback, she was not at all interested and replied with “ok, thank you”. She did take the scallops off the bill, which I am grateful for, but I would have much rather been served a meal I could actually eat. Poor food, poor service and a long wait did not make for a pleasant experience. This is the 4th time we have stayed at the hotel. We usually eat in the orangery. I feel the brassiere did not live up to the standard of the rest of the hotel and staff, and has tarred our experience. The food was definitely not value for money and I certainly would not recommend it to friends or family.
We were dining as a party of 5 as part of a full day spa, we pre ordered our lunch on arrival to dine at 12.30pm we did arrive a little earlier as we had ordered a bottle of prosecco to celebrate my hen afternoon, food was lovely but did find the service very slow.. Last time we came we were offered a bread selection board with humous so didn't notice the wait, but this wasn't offered this time and we waited until 12.50 to get our main course.. Thankfully we had booked our treatments for late afternoon after learning from last time, as previously we didn't get chance to eat our dessert due to the wait for the meal otherwise we would have been rushing to finish the meal. It didn't spoil the day which overall was very enjoyable, thank you
No roll with tiny amount of soup £8!! Hard stale crusts on the sandwich bread Could not sit where i wanted even though the table was empty. Not what i was expecting.
Pre ordered food, however I had eaten my meal before sides came. Pre ordered water that never arrived. Unable to order any more drinks during my meal as no one came. Average service, average food. Overall enjoyed the day but the brassiere is not somthing you should be asking for feedback on. Seems to have lost its buzz.
