The bright and buzzy Brasserie is open for brunch, lunch and in to the evening. With views to die for and atmosphere aplenty, this relaxed restaurant serves up seasonal specials to ensure you are always getting the freshest, tastiest dishes in the North East.
very expensive for what is was and although staff very helpful the food was not that impressive and very expensive!!
Fantastic morning, lovely all round. Only downside we had was one member of staff in restraunt kept giving us the wrong food and drinks & then wanted to charge us at the end of our meal even though we where part of a spa deal.
Lovely brunch before a fantastic spa day! Thanks
Fantastic service and very helpful staff great food can’t wait to return to dine with you again
Below par on food and £5.00 for a bottle of water was a bit steep
The whole experience was brilliant and the food was delicious .
We visited The Brasserie as part of a spa day package, we were asked to pre-order when we arrived and there was a varied menu for us to choose from. Service at lunchtime was friendly and relaxed which worked perfectly for us. They even presented my with a decorated plate with fruit and chocolates as it was my birthday. The only downside was The Brasserie was also used by meeting attendees which didn't quite work with spa guests who were in robes - a shame but nothing that could spoil our time.
Outstanding food and service - Really enjoyed my T-bone and the salt and pepper trolley.
Very attentive service, and the food was delicious! Can’t wait to return.
Service was not as extfrom a 5 star hotel restaurant. Bread was forgotten with the starter but we were told by the waiter it’s ok it’s was free. Sauce for the main course was also forgot. Food was excellent just the service let it down.
The room was a little cold - but only a little. Given the time of year there was not many diners but the décor, Christmassy, made up for that. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The presentation of the food was wonderful. Thank you - we will return.
We had a lovely day at the Spa and love the Spa garden I would not pay for the luxury manicure again. The service in the Brasserie was quick and efficient The food option for our spa day was limited. When we left and settled our bill there was confusion as the Brasserie had not prossessed our invoice, but eventually sorted, however to then receive phone calls stating we had 'forgotten to settle our bill" was not great.
We have just returned from a fantastic visit to Rockcliffe Hall but I have to say the Brasserire was the weakest link during our two night stay. We had a sandwich lunch when we arrived which we all agreed was very tasty but both evening meals were a disappointment. Menu appears to be Gastro Pub type food but the food (and we all chose differently) was just not tasty. Scallops were not cooked well, no colour and overcooked. Wood pigeon was also overcooked. Breakfast was also a disappointment.
Very slow service, no butter and jams on the table when asked for some took 15 minutes to get the butter. Toast was then cold. Ordered a full English breakfast and asked for an extra portion of hash browns with the breakfast. The hash browns came after I asked for them twice and came after I had finished the full English breakfast. I was very disappointed with the service.
We always enjoy the brasserie food and the restaurant's congenial atmosphere always satisfies with its discreet and efficient service. Special mention for Sandra -who smiled and waited patiently while we dithered over our seating, making useful suggestions and ensuring that we were satisfied with our eventual choice.
Food was delicious, service was quick and all staff were very friendly. We had a wonderful relaxing day! Can’t wait to go back!!!
The starter we ordered was fabulous. Scallops and pork belly. The main course of fish and chips, whilst nice, was spoilt for me on finding a bone. I then didn’t eat any more of it. The fish and chips were served in a wire “fried” basket which was quirky but made it difficult to cut into the fish. All in all a nice meal.
Hi. Had a lovely fruit salad for breakfast. Delicious and the welcome lemonade was also very good. Lunch was quite heavy for a spa day and I would have liked to see some healthier options. I ordered salami salad but it was very oily and rich. No healthy desert option either. Staff excellent.
Lovely brunch, service was great and the selection offered was varied. The only negative was that despite it being very quiet we were sat right next to another couple and felt a bit conscious that we were so close in an otherwise empty room.
Had a fabulous spa day could nof fault anything lunch was fab and the staff were very attentive
Much better than last time, offering some new seasonally relevant items on the menu helped. Keep up rotation!
Lovely location, view and atmosphere and the food itself was very nice. The only negative was the very slow service. The restaurant was not busy but it took 1&1/2 hours for the 2 of us to get our main meal and dessert - too slow.
One of the main courses was cold and one of the drinks provided had to be sent back. To be honest the whole thing was pretty average which was disappointing given the high quality of the spa facilities and service
