Anton coursierce is lovely guy our stay was fab food was good and room was lovely
The menu has changed without telling us and we chose this restaurant as the original menu had food we love. I had the pigeon to start which was over cooked and inedible. Mains were average at best the sirloin steak my husband had been very dry. For dessert my husband ordered the almond tart which and I had the cheesecake, after a 25min wait our desserts arrived, my husbands tart was burnt and inedible, my cheesecake was bland with a gritty gesture. For the amount of money the meals cost we would expect a high level of quality. Very disappointing way to end our first wedding anniversary.
Great setting in a beautiful hotel. Immaculate service, good bunch of staff, very attentive and good humoured. Food was good but not outstanding, did enjoy it though. However. £25 for a large gin and tonic is an absolute joke which somewhat soured the evening. You expect to pay premium prices for hotels and service like Rockliffe but at £25 per drink you can't help but feel your being taken advantage of. It's gin and tonic, not a rare cognac. That’s £100 on four gin and tonics to put it in perspective. £100! Wow.
The restaurant team were most attentive and provided advice relating to the menu. The person I was with is gluten intolerant and needed help and advice on food options. The whole exepreince was very relaxed and the professional.
Everything was perfect
Service was shocking, complained to the restaurant manager, for the next 40 mins no one came to our table, not offered sweet or coffee.... expensively poor
Wow wow wow Thank you It was amazing
What a lovely restaurant nothing is to much for them and always made to feel so special
Staff very obliging-relaxed atmosphere-very good food
Enjoyed a lovely two course lunch in the brasserie as part of our spa day celebrating my husband and best friends 50th birthdays.
Food and drink good. Service was good and restaurant appeared not so busy. Would recommend
Food and drink good. Service was good. However due to being very busy took 1 hr from finishing main course to asking if dessert course wanted. Spoiled what was a good evening.
I'm going to do the very British thing of apologising for complaining.....but I was so disappointed with the overall dining experience. I had high expectations after visiting neighbouring spa's recently and eating amazing food! So here goes, I was utterly disappointed with what appeared to be an auntie Bessie mass produced/bought in Yorkshire pudding with the overly peppery and Walls like textured sausages! I spent the whole time with my main meal thinking about how much in total I had paid to come on the spa day, of which flour, eggs and milk would be a minute percentage of the total! I honestly felt so disappointed that you weren't serving up locally sourced meat produce (unless I am wrong and that they were from the local butchers and just presented me with an unfamiliar texture!) And I would have loved one or two home made, randomly shaped Yorkshire puds, that didn't have a greasy residue, a mass produced uniformed shape and a taste far from a proper 'Yorkshire' pudding!!! I would be interested to know where you got the puds from and the sausages please? The service was fantastic, really enjoyed my cocktail, brilliant atmosphere and comfortable dining experience! In general I was also disappointed in the Spa day too, our much looked forward to exclusive access to the garden area was spoilt by four women (having a nice time and I'm sorry to be boring!) But rowdily drinking and prancing around! Not exactly what we hoped for when we paid the extra cost! I'm not sure what you can do about this as everyone goes to a spa day for different reasons, we all wanted to relax so this spoilt it for us. And also, the temperature in the main and hydro pool area was for me too high, and the towels on disused sunbeds was also a problem! I think there were too many people, it felt over crowded and did not foster the relaxed environment we so desperately looked forward to! I think you can do better Rockcliffe and unfortunately I would have loved to come home desperate to return.....but instead I'm going to make my own Yorkshire puddings and visit a less crowded spa and try to not think about how much money I spent on a day which overall was disappointing! I would welcome your response.
Was told wrong information on our voucher which made us spend more money, extremely slow service
Food excellent choice fantastic Very accommodating for large parties Excellent service
Would not return. Definitely not worth the money. Better places out there
I brought my daughter here for a Spa day to celebrate her 21st birthday. We had a lovely relaxing day and a beautiful meal. The staff even brought out a plate of strawberries for her with ‘Happy Birthday’ piped onto the plate in chocolate. That was a lovely touch. Thank you.
I found the meal far too rushed the main course was served when we were still eating starter then the desert was served literally straight after main meal. The food was gorgeous but felt rushed and could not enjoy the lovely atmosphere
Best burger ever eaten
The four of us had four different options and all of the meals were beautiful. Thank you
Very filling lunch, great service and lovely views across the golf course
Food was lovely.
I was disappointed by the choice of vegetarian options which was basically one! The food was not what I would expect to have at a spa, fish and chips are too heavy and I don’t eat meat. I wouldn’t return to the brasserie.
Fab service, great food
Service was amazing, very polite and friendly staff. Food was equally as great. Very good atmosphere with a stunning view.
