About Waterside at Langstone Quays
The 2 AA Rosette award-winning Brasserie at Langstone Quays Resort occupies a prominent position overlooking the Langstone Harbour & Estuary, the perfect setting in which to enjoy al fresco dining on the terrace.
Our delicious seasonal menus are written by our Head Chef, James Parsons, who is also dedicated to using as much fresh and local produce as he can. Our range of wines is extensive; you will certainly find a bottle to suit your dining experience!
Overall a very pleasant stay. Some minor hiccups but nothing is perfect.
We have just returned from our second 1 night stay at Langstone Quays resort Had a fantastic stay from arrival to departure. Marco and his team made us welcome from the moment we arrived, loved our room and the view across the creek, so pretty. Helpful and informative staff manning the bar, we made sure we sampled a few of the many guns on offer! Waiting staff in tne restaurant attentive and nothing was too much trouble Room service was super quick! All in all a great stay and we are already planning our third visit! Thank you
2 weddings on the day we stop so it was very noisy
very confusing when we were given 3 different menu's to choose from but the staff didn't know what we were entitled to on the Gourmet break..Abi was very helpful and sorted it out for us we think the restaurant staff should be better informed although they were all very efficient in all other aspects. Cream Tea and breakfast were both good. Why is there nowhere to rate the Hotel itself?
Wonderful dinner at the waterside restaurant to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. The food was excellent as always and the lady serving us was lovely.
Good choice of food from 2 menus. We weren't rushed in anyway. Polite and attentive staff. Food was excellent. We did feel the wine was over priced for the selection offered. However we had an enjoyable evening.
Hotel staff were all very efficient and friendly. The room and pool was great. Service in the restaurant was the only thing that let the stay down. Whilst the food was great it seemed to take at least 30 minutes before our order was taken and another 45 before the starter arrived with a similar wait for the other courses. We also had to remind staff about our drinks.
Lovely Sunday lunch top quality food a d beautifully presented.
The location of the hotel and room provided were lovely. We had issues with noise as we were located near a fire exit door which seemed to be used by everyone going to the Club. These people did not keep their voices down.... Also, people going in and out of their rooms due to doors slamming did not help. The restaurant was nice but we did have to send meals back and I would say the food was rather bland.
The hotel is lovely, with large, spacious rooms. The restaurant is in such a beautiful location but it was sadly let down by the very poor service. Very slow service, plates not being cleared I think they did not have enough staff to cope with the numbers. Again the bar area is lovely but tables left with glasses on and when we asked a bar staff member if they could clear a table she replied they did not have time. It’s a beautiful hotel which could be so lovely but the service let’s it down massively unfortunately
Parts of the hotel were not up to scratch such a the spa and pool. Restaurant service was hit and miss some nights and waiting half an hour to get your dessert was not good service. Eton mess only had one piece of strawberry in it and nothing else but cream and sauce, so it was pretty awful but when we said about it the response was just ‘ sorry’. The same for twice reporting a fitness session with loud music, shouting and a medicine ball being banged against the bedroom wall right outside our bedroom window. There was a vast amount of space around the hotel so why hold the session near the guest accommodation? AC was not in the room ( had been banked off) so really hot too. The fan provided just didn’t work so neither of us slept well, however that is just the uk not gearing up to the climate change. So they are the issues but overall most could be dealt with with this feedback so they don’t happen again.
Excellent week at Langstone Quays with commendable service & easy access to Hayling Island beach & golf facilities. The children loved it and enjoyed a swim in the pool every evening before dinner.
Thank you so much for making my partner’s birthday extra special. Megan and Laura definitely went the extra mile. Thanks again
Rooms far too hot, drinks far to expensive
Lovely food and good service. Waitresses seemed to stare/watch intently at guests which was a little unnerving. Food can be quite pricey but we went for a burger and chips which was very reasonably priced and tasted delicious.
Not at all impressed, we pre ordered due to such a large number 18 of us. Even though one member did not get the correct order. We had a table for 18 at the last minute 2 more people turned up, we were told they did not have sufficient room !!!! We all shuffled up in the end. It was all too much trouble. We were just above to leave my Son and his Wife had their baby with them obviously family and friends were looking at the baby were told to sit down, how rude 4 people had Thai green veg curry it was inedible red hot spicy , the rest of the food was OK but not memorable Not a good experience I won’t repeat it
We had a really stay last night. The food was mostly good--the pudding was very disappointing but I did let you know on the night. We had excelltn service for dinner. The room was mostly clean--there was soap left from the previous occupants and we were missing pillows, but that was fixed when we raised it. Service at breakfast wasn't as good- it was clearly very busy. A strange comment but love the curtains--they really help keep the room dark. We had a good night's sleep as we weren't on the ground floor.
Really like your hotel. Food good spa good service good Pity the rooms are looking tired Very comfortable mattress though
We were shown to a pleasant table by the window with great views over Chichester Harbour Our waitress was exceptional.
Setting is lovely and the food was very nice. There was a good variety to choose from. The staff were polite and friendly too. Overall a nice evening.
The hotel is perfectly placed for exploring the area and only a short drive to Portsmouth. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were tasty with lots of choice. The dinner menu was varied and the food well presented and enjoyable.
Our hotel room was spacious and clean wioth a good en suite. Only views of other rooms from our bedroom. Dinner was good bur not exciting or special. We were disappointed as there is no outside seating or relaxing area. Breakfast was very good but was surprised that there waas no good filter decaff coffee at breakfast.onlyn Nescaffe sticks which we do not like.
Room not cleaned properly mirrors, kettle dirty floor was not vacuumed while we were there, one dressing gown did not look clean or ironed, bathroom could do with some shelves no shower cap, wallpaper pealing off wall by bed no breakfast menu first day cold drinks on labels to say what they were 1st day mini bar empty 2 coat hangers missing the tv in wrong position if sitting on sofa fans not working even when they changed, at the bar did not sell crisps or nuts ask for boddingtons beer none bed very clean room 86 rubbish left in corridor late afternoon by cleaners
My family had a lovely afternoon tea in the waterfront restaurant, it felt very decadent. Good value for money with lots of delicases to eat - more than just a tasting board - a real afternoon tea with attentive service. Dietary requirements were catered for, and the chef was happy to adjust the menu slightly. The restaurant manager was very helpful and liaised with the chef. My only comment would be that the junior restaurant staff would appear to need more training to feel confident when locating the various copy menus and knowledge of their content.
