The 2 AA Rosette award-winning Brasserie at Langstone Quays Resort occupies a prominent position overlooking the Langstone Harbour & Estuary, the perfect setting in which to enjoy al fresco dining on the terrace.

We have been coming to the Langstone Hotel fortnightly for the last 6 years and although there have been many changes in that time the menu at the Waterfront has never failed to please. The staff are lovely and always willing to help and the atmosphere in the recently refurbished restaurant is calming, warm and welcoming.

Our room was freezing cold the bathroom was even colder , the service was ex ellent and the staff were very good

Sold to us as a off peak luxury hotel, this was a ok hotel on par with a Premier Inn NOT A LUXURY HOTEL! So no real complaints just it wasn't what it said on the tin.

Creme brulee was inedible. Waitress did not even ask my husband if everything was ok with his dessert when she removed it even though he had clearly only had one spoonful. Menu had very odd combinations. Every dish had an element that did not seem to match with the rest of the dish. When booking, I asked if the restaurant could cater for people with coeliac disease and was assured they could. Limited gluten free starters contained fish which I am unable to eat. I asked if the soup was gluten free and the waitress checked and said it was without the bread. I asked if gluten free bread was available and was told no. My soup appeared with bread on the side. I asked and was told it was gluten free. When trying the bread, I was unsure if it had been toasted or was stale. I only ate a little as I decided it was probably stale based on the fact it was not brown. I was unwell in the night so something was possibly not gluten free. My husband ordered an orange juice and was given what appeared to be a J2O. This was changed when he spoke to a member of staff about it. We asked for the bill and waited around 40 minutes before deciding to give up and leave as they had taken our room number on arrival so decided to leave it to be charged to our room. We then had the embarrassment of being asked why we hadn't paid as we walked out. We explained and was asked to return to sign a receipt. We also had breakfast as guests of the hotel. Very limited gluten free options. No gluten free toast on offer, no members of staffed briefed on which items were gluten free despite knowing they had a coeliac guest so lots of waiting for people to figure things out. We booked our stay for our first wedding anniversary but unfortunately it was a bit of a let down.

When we first arrived I went to the reception desk and was greet by a very abrupt lady . I ask where we needed to go for our afternoon tea and she very rudely point towards the restaurant . Upon entering the restaurant we were met by a lovely friendly waitress who showed us to our table and we had first class services . She is a credit to the hotel . Such a shame could not be said if your receptionist at the desk .

The food was well presented, but tasted bland. The staff were polite, but didn't at any point try to make conversation. The manager walked around the room doing absolutely nothing. The breakfast was incredibly well well presented and tasted delicious.

Really enjoyed my stay. The place was so relaxing and quiet while I was there, but still had a good atmosphere. The room was clean and well aired and plenty warm enough. The corridors were spotless as was the reception areas. All staff were friendly yet professional and actually really helpful/discrete when needing to ask about the I offer had under taken. The menu was very respectable, so pleased I stayed 3 nights as it was rather difficult choosing from such an array of meals. ( I can recommend the scallops...!) The breakfast choice was just as vast, I suggest you fill up and go and explore the area.

When you buy a bottle of wine for £45.00 the head waiter should be discreetly watching to refill your glasses, as it is in an ice bucket hence when you take it out you have dripping water all over your table, it’s ok charging the prices but you need to up your game in line with what other hotels offer

Unfortunately the hotel over booked events and was unable to cope. The restaurant manager failed in his duty to step up and take charge of the situation. Instead he kept clear of the customers and left it to the serving staff and the hostess to deal with customer enquires about the delay in service and why some of the dishes served didn’t meet the menu specification. The hotel should be thankful for having an experienced hostess (Abbey). Her customer service and people skills was exemplary ( I actually thought Abbey was the senior manager, dealing with the situation). There were others like our group celebrating a special occasion. You choose the location to complement the occasion for the memories. Now we have an occasion marred by the poor planning and miss management of the restaurant (Lack of Bar staff and Kitchen staff). You can’t roll back time you can’t replay the event. special occasions are just that, special.

We stayed at Waterside at Langstone Quays as a celebration of our Parents 60th Wedding Anniversary. All staff were very friendly and accommodating, nothing too much trouble. Food in the restaurant was good quality and well presented. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Disappointed with the meal especially as the taxi driver had really recommended it. Some of our meal was bland. Not inedible just tasteless. Thai broth with no heat and vanilla creme brûlée with no vanilla. Lovely place and staff were great. Would probably give it another go if we stayed at the hotel again.

I have lunched and dined several times in the last few years in this lovely restaurant with my guest, who recommended it to me for its superb menu, beautiful views, and splendid decoration and atmosphere. Yesterday was a delightful three hours experience. Thank you, and to the staff for good service, and superb value: a very happy time.

Most enjoyable overnight stay with my daughter. Dinner and service good in the Restaurant (Ben was very friendly and attentive). Breakfast excellent before leaving.

The 'fishy' aroma near the entrance was unpleasant and made us very dubious of trying any fish dishes. The hand made shortbread came out of a packet which made us wonder how many other things were bought ready prepared....eg scallops?. however what we had was very tasty, well prepared and presented.
