About Waterside at Langstone Quays
The 2 AA Rosette award-winning Brasserie at Langstone Quays Resort occupies a prominent position overlooking the Langstone Harbour & Estuary, the perfect setting in which to enjoy al fresco dining on the terrace.
Our delicious seasonal menus are written by our Head Chef, James Parsons, who is also dedicated to using as much fresh and local produce as he can. Our range of wines is extensive; you will certainly find a bottle to suit your dining experience!
Birthday afternoon tea for my mum was wonderful. Table was large enough for the 8 of us, with plenty of room for the pots of tea, coffee, sandwiches and cakes. Really nicely presented, with a good selection. Little wait on the tea and coffee to be replenished as not enough staff but they were happy to help and assist when available. We will be returning. Thank you all.
I wasn’t really impressed as the food that came out was all Christmas food and the menu on our table was completely different. We were left in the room by ourselves and had to find someone to get a drink.
Would be nice to understand what cones with meals such as the chilli. No rice with it & no rice option as a side order
Very nice evening food was lovely and arrived quickly. Service was very professional.
The only thing that stopped me giving 5 stars across the board (Food/Atmosphere/Service/Value) was the switched-on distracting wall-mounted TV in the Dining Room
I had booked this as a nice peaceful, restful break with some nice food for my partner, who has just come out of hospital and myself.from the first moment it has been one disaster after another.we are disabled and I stressed the need for a walk in shower to find we had been booked in room 52 which was a bath.we had booked for an executive sea view ,the reception moved us to room 71 which was a shower and executive, still no sea view.the walking was excessive so far from anything.the meals were a disappointment as the first night we ate in the small conservatory area to a lessoned menu as there were private parties booked elsewhere.we are both diabetic so need to eat regularly.to my horror on our second night we were told we would have to eat in the conservatory again but as it had been booked for a private party not until after 8 pm.we went along at 8pm to find it still occupied so eventually had our evening meal outside the toilets in the corridor outside the spinnaker restaurant, also booked for a private party.we would have liked to have been informed at the booking stage of all these parties and restaurants being closed.if informed we would have booked another weekend.would have been nice to have the choice.it is a shame as we only live 2 hours away and we're hoping to make the langstone a regular 'bolthole'.now we would think very carefully about coming again.we have stayed here before and it was lovely.this time it was unenjoyable.we were going to stay another night but cancelled this as it would have been too stressful.
A bit disappointed. Arrived at time of reservation. Advised they had just cleared away the settings. I confirmed they had the reservation and mistakenly over looked it. Had to wait with my visitors for table to be reprepared.. Food was lovely we where only offered one drink . I had a latte. I would have liked another , but not offered.
Myself and some work colleagues came for Christmas afternoon tea and it was lovely , we all enjoyed it and have a lovely afternoon would definitely recommend to anyone.
It was excellent my friends and I thoroughly enjoyed it and food and service was first class we will definitely book again
Excellent service and food second time we have been in for Sunday lunch lovely both times thank you
Myself and three friends booked Sunday dip and dine. We had a wonderful day, the pool was lovely and quiet in there. Unfortunately the jacuzzi wasn’t open which was a shame but the sauna and steam rooms were lovely. Sunday lunch was amazing. We will come again.
The food was superb, excellent service especially from the lady called Crystal looking after our table she couldn’t do enough for us .
Very happy with our day. Food was above expected. Beautifully cooked beef!
Lovely high tea with great views
It's always a good time here at the Langstone. Good service, really lovely and well-seasoned food (compliments to the chef) and comfortable room. We were moved to another room as the sea view was more view of the car park so pleased we were put in another room at my request. We enjoyed the lazy Sunday deal with lunch and b&b and was also good to use the leisure facilities. Thank you.
Genuine pleasure to eat here. The food is lovely & the dining room is friendly and well laid out, plenty of room between tables. Staff are really great, ready to help and very knowledgeable about the menu and the wine. Dishes are beautifully presented and taste fabulous.
We were bought a dip and dine voucher. The swimming pool area could do with a refurbishment. The meal was fantastic, we would highly recommend it. The only downside are the price of the drinks. £2.90 for a small tea or coffee. We would go again.
After we ordered our meals we were then told we would have to wait longer as there was a coach trip. Also drinks were expensive. Our room was nice we had a triple deluxe the double bed was small. The leisure facilities were clean and a great asset.
First and foremost: we will return. Our visit was for afternoon tea to begin birthday celebrations with my elderly parents, one of whom has dementia. He thoroughly enjoyed himself. The staff were as you would hope, very attentive, polite and understanding. I wouldn't expect the 'atmosphere' for an afternoon tea, at 1 o'clock, to be vibrant therefore my marks are not intended as a criticism. The crockery presented to us was an issue with one cup not properly washed and another with a crack. The food, which was enjoyed by each of us, lacked a bit of variety on the sandwich front, ie just an egg and mayonnaise sandwich. The other aspects of the savoury side of the platter were average and not as fresh as one would hope for. The selection of sweet 'stuff' was very good. On balance I'd give a 3.75 out of 5.
Daughter has gammon steak which was very very dry and completely over cooked. My rib eye was grainy.
the waiter I\c good both nights
