fantastic customer service and one of the nicest meals we have had in a long time, will definately come back if we visit the area again
As a person dining by myself, the table that was originally allocated to me was stuck in the corner, with very little light, and by by the Kitchen. (please note, we choose to dine alone, but don't feel the need to be singled out) although I am very sure this is not the case, but more tables should be available for single diners in the main restaurant. I did point this out, and the male server was more than happy to put me in the bar. Unfortunately, as it was a bar, there were two loud patrons, swearing, which I found to disrupt the ambience and overall enjoyment of my meal. However, this cannot be helped, and please note that I found the service and attention to detail exceptional. The food was very good, with steak cooked to perfection, however I found the additional sauces over-priced, and to be honest, lacking flavour. (Stilton/mushroom) Having just moved to Ashbourne, the TBGI is just up the road from me and very convenient, and when I have friends and family visit we will be coming back there.
Friendly welcoming staff :)
Excellent food, serving staff were great and really helped looking after both my pregnant wife and little one. Could do with making the main dining room a bit cosier but the steaks more than made up for this!
No mobile phone coverage in area so had to book on line. then found only able to book for max 5 people (our party was 6) bit of a nuisance. Greeting excellent, ambiance nice, Food pleasant, 1 steak very tough but was changed with no hassle. overall 6/10
Brilliant food and good service all staff were friendly
Service was excellent. We were able to change table after reserving earlier in the day and all the staff were really nice and helpful. Food was great and portion sizes really good. The black pudding and haggis starter was as good as I hoped and then some! All in all, added the icing to my girlfriends birthday.
The resdiary booking conditions, to which I had to agree, did not appear when requested in my initial booking.
