About The Boundary House
We’re an inviting country pub and restaurant in Methley serving great pub food using the best local ingredients Yorkshire has to offer. Our bar has real ales, a cosy open fire and welcoming chairs. So come on in and make yourself at home...
Afternoon tea is served Monday to Saturday 12.00 - 16.00
Food excellent but main course choices too big for my mums small appetite. Last time we came she had sea bass in red pepper sauce which she really enjoyed but not on menu this time only fish dish was fish and chips and that, we saw, was huge. Only real choice for mum was a starter, or the kids menu. For the rest of us the meal was excellent (roast dinner), though as I said on my review last time an extra jug of gravy would be good though it came quickly when asked for. Will definitely go again but a fish dish other than fish and chips would be good.
The best Sunday roast for miles around.
Lovely venue, particularly in the spring sunshine. Very attentive staff who looked after us at all times ensuring the table was clear of empty glasses etc. Part had baked Camembert, soup or beetroot salad as starters, all very good. Mains were roast lamb, roast beef or chicken burger. Again all great. Good selection of puddings, particularly the salted caramel ice cream.
Great food, very well priced wine and service was just right.
Consistently fantastic would recommend again and again
Great service and fab food
The place had lovely atmosphere. Staff very welcoming. Couldn't do enough. Very attentive but not over the top. Will defo be coming back and recommending to family and friends.
I marked the service down only because when we arrived there was nobody behind the bar and we had to go looking for someone to show us to our table. The food was excellent and we enjoyed what we had. Portions were good and i felt it was hood value for money. I would recommend visiting and will return.
Friendly service and great atmosphere. Looking forward my next visit
A great evening. Buzzing atmosphere and lovely food
Really pleased. Afternoon tea was well and worth the money. They cater well to special food requirements and service was superb.
The online booking didn't state that the restaurant had booths as part of the seating. Some of the party can't sit in booths. The food was mediocre and overpriced and the choice was very limited. The dining area was cold. Inconsistency in table host, we didn't see the same staff member twice.
Great food and excellent service!!!
Always enjoy our meals here.
You should include tea & coffee refills in the price. Most of your compeditors at this price do.
Lovely food and atmosphere. We go to the boundary house regularly for food and drinks.
The Sunday lunch is fantastic probably the best you can get in the area, it is amazing and there is plenty. The dessert was amazing sticky toffee pudding again cannot fault it. I’d recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a nice gastro pub meal.
Food was excellent as always but service wasn't as good as usual. Considering it was Mother's Day, nothing special about the day. No little touches or an acknowledgement to the mothers in the room. Perhaps a small flower or chocolate? A little touch would have gone a long way to making it special. Nothing.
Excellent as always thank you
Absolutely lovely place, food and staff
Great welcome and customer service. A tad expensive at £15 for a Sunday lunch but more importantly the lamb was rather stringly and difficult to chew.
Absolutely lovely afternoon tea for my family for mother’s day, can’t wait to return
Such a fabulous afternoon tea thoroughly enjoyed by all that were fortunate to partake.
Excellent afternoon tea shared with friends
We spent £75 on afternoon tea but felt like we were rushed throughout. Our plates were taken away from us before we had finished and we were given tubs to take the food away before we had finished. Because you were stopping to serve food as we were there we felt like you wanted us out. The desserts also tasted like the sandwiches so weren’t that nice.
