About The Boat House
The Main Deck, with its sensational views of St Aubin’s Bay, offers a stunning and unique venue for your enjoyment. The relaxed restaurant serves a variety of traditional dishes such as Fresh Fish & Chips, our famous Boat House Fish Pie and there is also the offer of a few tapas dishes for light snacking. Where possible, our chefs use local produce to reflect the wonderful surroundings. We work closely with local suppliers to offer a range of choices to complement the season whilst retaining many favourite signature dishes.
Every time I eat at the Boat House - I regret it! The food is always terrible. Nothing is cooked freshly & so much is oily/greasy & disgusting. Sorry but I won’t be hurrying back to eat anytime soon. Great location - terrible food.
Best way to spend an afternoon, great food, great service and a great location
Couldn't care less attitude. Slow service and going through the motions responses.
A mistake by me on my online booking by booking the Boat House downstairs when I wanted the Anchor club upstairs, this was quickly sorted and Dominique made us feel very welcome. Food is excellent, good portions, beautifully presented and good value. Pleased to see they are busy and would thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting something a little bit special without being ostentatious or Towie like.
Great atmosphere and very tasty food Only feedback I would give is more menu choices
We ate downstairs. Had a lovely view over the harbour. Only gripes are the noise level when it’s very busy and the food was slow in arriving. However, it was worth waiting for as the food was lovely. Will definitely be returning.
Good value for money. Staff and service excellent they couldn’t do enough for us. Brilliant!
Food was excellent too many different staff serving our table hence being charged £25 for another tables drinks
Despite a little hiccup with our reservation we were seated promptly. The staff were attentive and efficient. Food was delicious & portions were just right. We can't fault The Boat House- we enjoyed our meal and will return. Thank you.
Great Father’s Day lunch
A nice evening out with great views. Very friendly staff and great food. I did think it was very noisy (Saturday night) so maybe consider your dining requirements and guests before booking. We would definitely go back
Everything was great accept it did feel a little rushed. Not enough time in between courses and they brought the cake out straight after dinner. I would have preferred to have asked for the cake to be brought out instead of being made to do the cake there and then. The evening just seemed rushed, but on the whole was a good service. Nice, friendly attentive staff.
Good food, great service, surprised not busier on a Sunday lunchtime ?
Very nice. Would recommend to anyone.
Staff were a credit to their profession
The portion sizes are huge so we felt we waited a lot of food. The order was wrong there were 3 potions of chritzo high we were changed for so we felt we had to pay when the bill arrived. Hard to hear what own table are saying as the music was quite loud. The male water had a lot about him, however the rest of the staff seemed very straight faced. A good experience good food but could have been better
Food was superb and staff very friendly, thank you we will be back.
The main came out immediately after taking our starter plates. We weren’t asked if we were ready. It felt very rushed. Aside from that a great experience.
My 3 friends and I had the most perfect Sunday lunch today. Scottish moules were perfect!!!! Every member of staff made us very welcome. Atmosphere was good.
Enjoyable, but room for improvement. The lamb tagine comes with the tiniest portion of couscous; has to order additional. The crab cakes have very little crab in; it’s mainly potato. Other than that, it was good and recommendable.
For me, some of the menu range is too limited. More main course fish dishes would be welcome.
Excellent food, service and venue. Would recommend to anyone on both business or pleasure. Unfortunately we were on business so unable to partake in the many and varied delights behind the bar!
Great food lovely views but let down by service on this occasion. It took 2 hours from sitting down to paying to have one course! We did want desserts but gave up waiting ☹️
Always fabulous food and staff!! Thanks again for a lovely meal
Thank you for all. Really nice staff and good food.
