About The Boat House
The lapping water. The gentle hum of boats passing. The relaxed atmosphere. As its name suggests, you’ll find The Boat House by the loch’s edge. Its nautical-themed décor complements the stunning views overlooking the vibrant marina and Loch Lomond.
Here, you can take time out to watch the world go by and enjoy the freshest fish and locally sourced produce, all prepared by our talented chefs and served by our friendly team.
Great relaxing meal, excellent customer service but the coffee was awful
Excellent service, beautiful food and very, very friendly staff 😊 I will definitely return and I highly recommend the restaurant.
Big portions but also big price.Would prefer small portions and smaller price.Coffee terrible and very expensive as was desert.2 people in my party and charged £3.60 service charge which I think was cheeky and should be at the discretion of the customer.Prob not be back because of above comments.
Great service,friendly staff,food a little overpriced
Second time we have tried this restaurant and it wasn’t as good as the first time , after asking for tartare sauce to go with my starter it never turned up and with my chicken dish we asked for a side of mashed potato which didn’t turn up and I had to ask was disappointed with the services as the restaurant was far from busy
Lovely food, great service. Felt very safe with COVID restrictions and arrangements. Staff very friendly and attentive, helpful with my elderly mother.
Very lovely Food
Great location with stunning views! Staff excellent, friendly and professional Food very good but a bit over priced!
Had a great evening with lovely food, unfortunately we were next to the door for the outdoor dining so it was very cold for my parents and other dinners we were continually having to close the door next to our table whilst staff were in and out.
Nice food, great service
Burger was over cooked. I appreciate the need to provide ventilation indoors due to covid however the restaurant was absolutely freezing. I saw one lady sitting putting on her knitted hat and another wrapping herself in a scarf. Being so cold I simply could not wait to finish my food and leave
Was very busy and a lot of people complaining about the length of time they had to wait for their food..... food was nice once it arrived although there was no bacon on the cheeseburger as advertised...we were right beside a door so it was pretty cold..service okay but felt the staff were a bit stressed.
Staff were amazing!! They paid extra attention to our son and engaged with him at every opportunity. We will definitely be back
Overall a very disappointing substandard experience, which was a shame as we ate here years ago and really enjoyed it. We waited overall 2 hours for our food, no gluten free menu despite requesting in advance when we booked. Waiter had minimum knowledge on what was gluten free or not therefore we lost confidence with that. We sat with empty drinks for an hour and a half, then when the food finally came it was very poor. Dry, overcooked steak. Over cooked, unseasoned, rubbery lobster etc. We ended up leaving without eating anything and went elsewhere for what ended up dinner instead of lunch. 2 hours wasted.
The chocolate fondant was a little disappointing
I realise that they’ve just reopened after a long lockdown but they seemed disorganised and none of the staff (including management) knew what dishes on their menu carried allergy warnings. In fact one member of staff ask how ill my allergy made me. Very worrying. Please supply a menu with allergies highlighted and train your staff. Allergies are no joke!
Lovely meal and great service from our waitress.
Enjoyed a couple.of.meals in the boathouse recently,.everything good. Very covid savvy. Only gripe would be the quality of the food, paying top dollar for food which is not quite value for money. But given the circumstances we were quite happy and look forward to more visits
Very poor service, and below average food - really disappointing. On arriving we found the usual route was blocked off - no additional signage so rang the clubhouse - tried three times but no answer. Found another way eventually - no greeting on arrival, female manager just gruffly took our name and seated us. She took our order after a while - didn't write it down and when it arrived it was wrong. Both dishes had to go back to kitchen. Food was ok - chicken was dry with no sauce for example, - dissappointing overall and definitely not worth the money. Tables either side of us both sent back their meals too, due to the poor quality. No apologies from either of the two managers, they just said 'I'll let the kitchen know'. Long wait for coffees - we nearly left - staff told us they were busy when we asked if we could order, though did eventually come back to us. Won't be back though sorry to experience it this way as beautiful setting and have been before with no issues.
Was good. Service was decent
Great views and good food, slightly let down by the brownie as it was dissolved by the sauce! Overall a great place to eat though, pizza, pasta and sandwiches were all excellent.
Outstanding food & service. We had the chicken supreme with mushroom risotto & it was Absolutely first class! So impressed by everything! Cocktail menu hasn’t yet been released although i know it will not disappoint!
Everything was amazing! The atmosphere, all the team members...thank you very much everyone!
Staff very pleasant and attentive. Food quality excellent but prices a bit steep.
Excellent food, drinks and service particularly under COVID conditions. Staff are really professional and friendly. A bit of music would have helped the atmosphere but only because there are fewer diners. Would def recommend the fish dishes-delicious!
