Staff are always very friendly and helpful. Good table with plenty of room.
every member of staff was so lovely, very attentive, brilliant with the children we had dining with us. Will definitely be back.
Lovely Christmas meal.
Fab, love the boathouse
A most enjoyable evening!
Excellent value and friendly service
The deal was dreadful. Veal particularly bad an tough Panecotta grainy and set solid. We were really disappointed and had bought friends to enjoy what we thought would be a good night out. The waiter gave us two bottles of wine (free). Then shortly after explained this was a mistake and we ended up paying for a rubbish bottle of wine while the other was taken away. Supplements on most of the deal meals.
We were very disappointed when we visited the restaurant for Sunday lunch to find that the offer that was on your website was not available. We had young visitors staying that wanted to treat us to a meal and we liked the look of the offer menu with the the buy one get one free which did say it included Sunday lunch. I showed the staff the offer on my phone but the chef had not prepped any of the food for the offer and we were told it was a misprint. We had the roast. I just wished I had cooked at home because the vegetables were bland and there was no real flavour to anything. Also the lunch then cost a lot more than we expected. (A 2 lunch that would have cost £30 for 4 people cost over £50 for one disappointing course) The staff did give us a 10% discount and it was no fault of theirs. It is now nearly 7pm on Monday night and the misleading Sunday offer is still on the website. We felt embarrassed that we had suggested going there to our guests when they are on a limited budget.
Everything very good, but please sort out your car park it is appalling.
Thoroughly enjoyable.
Great night as always at the Boathouse. Good food, drink and service.
We had a lovely meal with a stunning view over the Solent.
Excellent food, all Of us enjoyed delicious main course and deserts. Only criticism is the bar for drinks needs speeding up, had to wait far too long to get drinks. Otherwise service was good.
Really good value for the Friday night steak night. The white wine was lovely too. Really smooth and was Sauvignon Blanc.
Great food Great staff
I booked this following a recommendation about the roast dinners. I was on holiday with my family at the time and we were very much looking forward to this experience. However, upon arrival we were informed that they had run out at 2pm. We were disappointed and promptly left to find an alternative which was very problematic on a Sunday late afternoon. A phone call or email to advise would have saved inconvenience.
Not as good as it used to be
Lovely views and location. Food quite good. Staff are friendly but too busy to serve customers meaning very long waits for foods or to pay.
Got order wrong. Mushy peas all over our chips. We don’t like mushy peas. Halloumi burger no bun. Agreed to this but overpaid for a slice of cheese, some chips and a dry salad. Didn’t even offer any sauces for chips. Disappointed.
One meal both courses were excellent and the other both courses were very disappointing. Compensated with a large glass of wine but really did spoil tbe experience
Wonderful food and great staff . A Seaview was the icing on the cake
Long wait to take order, sent tap water as smelt funny was told may be the bottle. Given wrong type of steak so one of us eat our main as a wait to cook right steak which when arrived was not cooked to medium/ well done but has waited so long didn’t send back again but had to leave middle as too red.
Really excellent food and good service
One of our party had fish, which had clearly been warmed through in a microwave. The rubbery texture spoilt the dish and therefore put a dampener on our whole experience. We will not be returning
The Taste if the Isle of Wight special menu was so appealing it was hard to choose! The local produce was delicious and prepared to showcase the local flavours instead of drown them. Very enjoyable food, served with a warm welcome, smiles and a friendly atmosphere. I’d definitely visit again.
