About The Boat at Erbistock
Dating back to the mid 17th century and probably much earlier this beautiful riverside inn has been welcoming and refreshing locals and passers-by for centuries. Our aim has been to preserve all its charm, nod nostalgically to the past and remember that proper pubs are always about people and atmosphere while gentling evolving into what a 21st-century country pub should offer in terms of food, drink and service, as well as facilities.
Having a warren of larger and smaller rooms means there is space for all walks of life and a variety of predilections from the dedicated drinkers and diners to walkers, bikers, anglers, shooters, canoeists and of course man’s best friend doggies….of the well-behaved variety, please. We also have a small private dining room that seats about 14 people comfortably that can also be used for meetings and even watching the odd game of rugby or other sports if the timings fit
We hope you’ll come and see us and have a good time.
Excellent!! The Boat is our pub of choice for great food in a fantastic setting.
Such a beautiful place with amazing food and lovely staff . We can’t wait to return 🥰
I love this restaurant, welcoming staff, food superb and the setting beautiful. Can't wait to visit when Covid restrictions allow, so sorry that you are having to close, again...
What a fabulous find! Beautiful place and stunning location. Food was fantastic and staff were extremely helpful catering for our youngest child with multiple food allergies. Really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back.
The surroundings and service are excellent. A beautiful building with lots of charm. The food is well presented but quite expensive for the amount you get.
We had lovely time💖Special thanks to the Chef Wiktor🤩We will come back when you open again.
We had a lovely meal, the staff were very friendly and welcoming and very cosy sat by the fire on a wet and cold day. It is a expensive, so just for those special occasions.
We only booked the table the day before and we were well accommodated. Good table for 6 for 4 of us.
Excellent meal and good value for money. Great service with a lovely atmosphere.
Just beautiful couldn't fault anything. I have wanted to come here since it re opened after refurbishment etc. The food was plentiful and so very beautiful cooked and presented. I will definitely be back !
Had such a lovely evening the atmosphere, food and drinks all compliment each other
The meal was very nice though some parts we felt the portions quite small? Overall we enjoyed our visit
Great atmosphere in this lovely old Inn. Excellent food, and friendly, attentive service
Fantastic food and service
Lovely meal and great service. Staff followed rules surrounding covid very well without taking away from the experience
Lovely lunch with 3 girlfriends, so nice to be able to meet in safe surroundings . Tasty food, excellent service, wonderful atmosphere with all the Xmas decorations. Such a shame tat we won't be allowed to have a glass of wine with our meal after Friday
We had a lovely time, the atmosphere (despite current restrictions) was lovely, the food and service was exceptional. Love the new outside space at the back. New fire feature and heaters over tables kept us nice and warm & it looks great!
Really enjoyable meal. Only spoilt by a screeching child on a nearby table which was just bad luck but nothing the restaurant could control. We look forward to our next visit. Highly recommend Sunday lunch.
Will visit again many thanks
Great food and setting and all measures undertaken re covid . Felt very safe there
Really enjoyed our Meal at The Boat, the food is excellent, the restaurant is warm and cosy as is the welcome from the staff!!
Very good .thank you
A fantastic meal, great service and a beautiful setting! We just felt that the very reasonable price we spent on two main courses was spoilt by the £50 we had to spend on just two bottles of average wine to accompany the food was exessive! I understand the mark up on restaurant wine is huge but I feel you could offer more sub £20 wines!
