A lovely evening with delicious food.
Sunday roast was superb! Delicious and huge portions, staff also very helpful and friendly Will definitely go back
Brought this as a gift & they had a lovely time & would love to go again .
Lovely all round
Had an amazing Sunday dinner with the family.. could not fault anything. Great staff!
Lovely setting and amazing food - we will be back many times over!
I sent an email after my visit on Friday 29th March, when we arrived at 7:30 and left at 11pm having STILL not been served our mains. The waiting staff cannot be faulted, so polite and kind, but unfortunately, no head chef and bar staff doubling up to help with the cooking is simply not good enough and none of my party of 9 (or by the looks of it any other tables) got fed! I paid a £90 deposit, which i have requested back. Please get back to my email and don't let the service on the admin be as awful as it was in the restaurant that night. 0 Stars for that department if it allowed me, i'm afraid
lovely mothers day lunch, great service, great food
Value for money on a groupon deal very impressed that they went the extra mile and made jam sandwiches for my granddaughter but cakes and muffins were shop bought and scones dry
Got to the Blue Crown early and was sat straight down to a table which had enough room for my baby in his pram as requested. Beverages brought over very promptly and our lovely afternoon tea arrived. We had one normal afternoon tea and one gluten free which was really lovely! Thank you to Craig and his team for great service, lovely food and an inviting atmosphere. Will look forward to returning.
Was a little disappointed as I have been before for afternoon tea and it seems to have changed as there is less of a variety. The presentation wasn’t as good either. Was an ok experience this time, but much better on my previous visit
I have been to the Blue Crown several times, however this was the first time for afternoon tea.We had a great time, food, drink and service were all fabulous as always. Will definitely be returning.
We had a lovely time, the service was great and the food was delicious! We will return soon. Thank you
I celebrated my 40th birthday with 30 girlfriends in the gorgeous marquee at the Crown in March. The staff were so accommodating, the food delicious and plentiful and the bottomless prosecco was flowing!!!! Thank you to all the staff :)
The food was really good quality, this was the second time we've eaten here and it's been fantastic both times. Unfortunately the service just doesn't match up. We thought we would give it another go because we liked the food and the menu so much but we won't be returning again. We waited 25 minutes for our drinks to arrive and that basically set the tone of the evening. most of the things we ordered were incredibly slow or just forgotten. There were plenty of staff milling around chatting but it felt like more of a staff social as opposed to a restaurant that focusses on customer service. We asked for the service charge to be taken off the bill and they didn't seem remotely phased by it, or even enquire why? It felt like they just didn't really care. If their customer service was half as good as the food this could be a really good restaurant.
We had a great afternoon, thanks to everyone at the Blue Crown
Came in for some light lunch and it was fantastic, the staff were so friendly and accommodating. My Nan is in a wheelchair and I hadn’t let the restaurant know, but it wasn’t an issue and they even provided a ramp. The staff working Friday lunchtime were very happy and the service was great - which seems rare in places you go these days. We didn’t feel rushed, the food was delicious and overall a wonderful lunchtime experience. Thank you.
We booked as our work Christmas meal. Upon booking it was advertised as Rat Pack music however the music was not as described, singer sung a real mixture and we personally thought the music was bad. When booking we requested to be close to the singer (thinking it was Rat Pack) which we was told we would be, when we got there we was put in like a private dining area around the corner, lovely but not what I had booked and we subsequently felt slightly isolated and out of it all. The drinks were slow to arrive and be ordered but the food was nice. Overall we would not return.
Fantastic meal with excellent service
We had a very enjoyable evening. The food and service was excellent. The only downside was that there was a table of about 20girls dining at the same time and the noise from their table was horrendous! We had to shout at each other to make ourselves heard.
Great food, great service, lovely restaurant.
Friendly and professional service. Good quality food. Would have liked slightly larger portions and some more vegetarian choices. Fish was good and Pork Belly. However the cheesecake, whilst yummy, had rock hard base. Couldn't get a spoon through it. Had to pick it up to eat it.... a bit messy! Would definitely come back tho.
I came here for my 40th bday as it has been recommended to me, I booked for 15 people in December and added a friend in jan so total was 16 I was advised both times that yes the reservations are separate but they understood the tables were together as it was a special party otherwise I would have gone somewhere else. I arrived to be told that our tables were separate! I said that was not acceptable and after my friend went to manager we were put into marquet which was lovely but there was no music or atmosphere of a special bottomless brunch. Additionally brunch was due to start at 3.30 but couldn’t not start till 4 so my Friends had to pay extra for drinks when the arrived at 3.15/3.20. Food was lovely and service was good but prosecco was not flowing as we were out of the way and two of my friends didn’t not even get to have their meal As they had booked cab for her daughters 21st so they had to leave at 5.45 as we still hadnt had dinner 5.30! Yes they didn’t pay for meals but still Missed half hour of bottomless prosecco and had no main meal which was part of the brunch! When we first got bill they gave discount for hassle but They had forgotten to take of £150 deposit hello What if we had not noticed that!! Lastly the Dj refused to play any other music as it was 80’s chill? But I understood it was supposed to be dj request? There was a missive argument at one point also which was not nice and then to end the night my friends £100 leather jacket was stolen! She was sober as she was driving had left it with all our jackets at table by the dj and someone had stolen it! So all I can say is it’s a shame as two people Had recommended blue crown to me but I will not be returning and that’s not because of the food or the bar service but due to the total mess up disorganisation and overbooking to try and get more booking for blue crown which led to the mess up and ruined my 40th birthday party.
As a vegetarian I didn’t expect to have a prawn sandwich in my selection for afternoon tea. I was disappointed that I had to bring my own soya milk but overall I did enjoy myself and loved the decor.
Beautiful restaurant lovely food, 1 little thing the plates for the roast should be bigger not enough room to manoeuvre kept loosing a potato!!
