Front of house was very disappointing Came from an hour away to go to your restaurant and was rushed in and out and this girl stood over us to let us know it was time to leave and just put the bill on our table I understand your very busy but we actually found her quite rude
Still waiting for our drinks order to be taken ....
The table service was horrendous. We waited over an hour for a drink - worse again was the fact that there was no table staff in sight to even ask where our drinks were or what was keeping them so long! Awful. Have cancelled two upcoming reservations as a result. Far too many tables vs staff.
I understand there is a huge demand at the moment and delays are to be expected, but this was ridiculous. I waited 45 minutes to get one pint, and was then told everything is closed. I did not get my food and I never got another drink. The staff were very clearly not prepared. I will not be back.
Staff seemed to have little to no experience working in such a busy environment
I booked a table with yourselves after going to choose my wedding suits in town for a pint with my grooms men & my parter had booked a table for 5:30 that evening for dinner & drinks, so myself and another member of our party intended on staying on until 5:30 and joining them for dinner. Firstly it was really disappointing that the kegs weren’t working. Our lunch took over 45 minutes to arrive and every time a member of staff came down with our drink they got something wrong or we were told you had ran out. We decided not to stay on until our other party arrived & left after our food and went to another bar in town. I called my partner and told her that I didn’t think it was a good idea to come back in the evening because of our bad experience but we decided to give the benefit of the doubt and hope for the best. Unfortunately our experience was anything but good for the second time, after waiting over 4 months to get out and socialise and choosing your venue as our first place to go the running and organisation of ur business yesterday was an absolute disgrace we waited over 45mins yet again to get a drink and the most frustrating part was we must have asked 4 members of staff and then only half the table got their drinks (which was mostly bottled beer) we then had to go and demand the other drinks.. when the food came items we missing which was then added to our bill after one of your staff telling us she would ensure these weren’t going to be on the bill because she said they were never on the order... The staff had no proper leadership they were all over the place and really hadn’t a clue which was not their fault but the fault of your management team the food was actually nice and we did enjoy it, although we would have liked to have been offered some salt & pepper but the overall experience was really a waste of our money & time.
I booked a table for myself, my parter and some family members for a long awaited evening out for some dinner & drinks. The blind cobbler has always been my first choice for bars in the town but after our experience on Saturday I am sorry to say that I will be hesitant to go back in the future. My parter had been in earlier in the day to celebrate choosing his suits for our wedding & catching up with his groomsmen. He had intended on staying on until we arrived but I received a phone call to tell be about their awful experience & he recommended we go elsewhere, however I said we should still go because to be honest I was really looking forward to it & I thought surely it couldnt be that bad. When we arrived at 5:30 and were seated it took almost 30 minutes for someone to take our order after asking numerous members of staff could we order. The table behind us had actually got up and left due to the long wait. When someone finally came to take our order we were told a separate staff member would have to take our drink order.. again after another wait we ordered drinks & as the kegs were off 3 of our party ordered bottled beer & only 2 of them got their drinks while we had to ask 3 times for the last bottle & we also didnt receive our cocktails until after our meal came. My cocktail (pornstar martini) seemed to be pre made, the glass wasnt full & there was no froth on the top and for £7.50 that is not good enough. Our food came after a 45 minute wait with 2 of our sides missing. The waitress told us there was no more sides on the original order yet these were added to our bill at the end. We were not offered any salt or pepper with our dinner & although out mains tasted good we all had to share our side orders with the 2 who didn’t get their sides so to be honest. I left hungry. We left straight after we finished our meal & to be honest it was £100 of our hard earned money wasted which is really disappointing.
Sat at a table beside dripping tap when other seats were available. Starters took over an hour to arrive. Had to ask THREE members of staff for the whereabouts of drinks. Burger was cheap 2am burger van meat. £9.50 for a burger with NO sides. A side was £3.50 extra. Money grabbing and to make matters worse no pints just bottles. Never told anyone about the taps being broke or we would never have turned up. An absolute hell for 2 hours. £55 wasted an utter disgrace.
I was very disappointed with the service I received in the Blind Cobbler on Friday evening (30th April). To begin with we were sat down in the dark in what seemed to be the ‘waiting area’ before going to your assigned table, however after asking several times we were never moved to our table. Instead we were left down in the ‘waiting area’ and watched as people who came in after us were brought to their proper tables. We waited over 20 mins for our first drink to come and when it did they failed to bring my strawberry daquiri, I was then told that I would have to wait a while on the strawberry daquiri and that they had stopped taking drink orders (at quarter to 9???) I never received my strawberry daquiri at all, and when I went to pay it was on my bill! We sat 45 minutes before our food order was taken, when it came some of it was wrong, (bare in mind we were still sitting in the ‘waiting area’) My partner was told there was no rockshore or bud light so he got magners (which he isn’t even a fan off) and then 10 minutes later seen the table opposite with 2 rockshore. Our bill came to £40 and if I’m honest it wouldn’t have even been worth £4. It was clear to see the team at blind cobbler were extremely unprepared for which could have potentially been a smooth sailing night considering everyone had time slots. People should have been asked to leave when their time slot was up to avoid people having to wait half an hour to be seated. I also found the staff member taking orders/seating us was extremely rude, and this made a massive impact on our night. I have since heard from numerous other people about how disappointed they were with the service and some people who actually got up and left as the service was that ridiculous. Overall, I can’t see us returning anytime soon and would definitely not recommend to any friends and family.
Booking was for 8:30 wasn’t seated until 9:10 and didn’t get our drinks until 9:30. Left waiting on our drinks 3 times having ordered over 30minutes previous. Cocktails advertised all over socials only to be told not doing them anymore. Was almost charged twice for the same round by 2 different servers. NOT the experience promised and a massive let down
Great atmosphere and attention. Very safe and very well set up. Highly recommend. Andrew the owner making sure all his customers were having a great experience. Keep up the good work guys!!
