About The Blind Bull
12th Century Inn in the heart of the Peak District
Gastropub | Ensuite Rooms | Stand-alone cottage
The Blind Bull, Little Hucklow’s youngest independent pub with a long history. We’re situated in the heart of the stunning Peak District and inhabit the site of Britain’s fifth oldest public house. After an extensive renovation, we have restored the 12th century inn to its former glory and created a unique dining space and six gorgeous rooms. We want The Blind Bull to be your newest home from home: a casual and welcoming place to gather and taste Derbyshire’s most delicious food and drink.
The food was very good..The ambience and atmosphere was also excellent. Our only slight quibble would be ,we thought the background music was a little loud. We will definitely be coming back.👍👍👍
Great food in a lovely location
Atmosphere spoiled by uncontrolled children - maybe keep young children away from the patio doors? Food fabulous as ever. Please either fillet fish or say “on bone” in menu.
Totally awesome visit - fantastic food, phenomenal setting and such lovely staff. We will return!
Lovely evening. Delicious food. Will book again.
We had 2 excellent meals at the Blind Bull. Food beautifully presented and exceptionally good for a pub hidden away in the depths of the countryside. A little more expensive than average pub prices, but much better quality and interesting menu. It's young hard working owner deserves to do well
We thought the food was expensive for just vegetables. ( we went on vegetarian night so were not expecting meat ). The menu is limited and we had difficulty choosing due to this. This wasn’t the first visit but the same applied.
Beautiful setting amongst the hills, lovely renovation and delicious food. Particularly nice outdoor area with lovely views and recently renovated inside so I’d imagine it’s going to be nice and cosy in the winter too
Absolutely superb. Food was outstanding with service to match. Will be going again as soon as we can.
I was so impressed I left a trip advisor. Just brilliant. We will be back x
Visited a few times - a welcome addition to the Valley. Something different.
Fantastic atmosphere and food , A very welcome addition to dining out near south Sheffield
A lovely situation and environment with excellent food and service. Very good value for money. The only possible negative for a Monday is that while we were very happy eating good vegetarian food, others might prefer some meat/fish.
Great food, great atmosphere in a really lovely Peak District setting, highly recommend. If you're going for a special occasion the English Fizz is a must.
Only negative is would like a potato side option apart from chips
Great food and service.
We had a lovely meal at the Blind Bull. It has a pleasant atmosphere and the food was amazing. The staff were attentive and service was great. We would definitely go back if in the area and would recommend to anyone.
Quite a wait for the food but the waitress explained all freshly cooked & in the event well worth the wait.
The staff are really on there A game here, we sat upstairs in view of the kitchen which runs like a well oiled machine... interesting to watch too. The food was fantastic... try the scotch eggs 😍
We were very impressed and will be recommending you to our guests at Manor House Farm Cottages, Sheldon
Sunday lunch with visiting friends. We had booked in advance, which was easy to do. We arrived hungry and thirsty after a long walk and were greeted promptly by a very friendly member of staff. Our table was upstairs with views down to the bar an across to the kitchen. The interior of the pub is lovely; contemporary but retaining the traditional feel. Service was really friendly and helpful and the main course (2 roast beef, 1 pork and 1 hoggett) was absolutely gorgeous. Generous servings of meat, but could have done with a few more potatoes and veg. Our puddings were equally delicious - 2 had chocolate mousse and 2 had the hartington blue with a ginger cake and chutney (a brilliant combination; loved it!). All in all a great experience.
Great atmosphere and very well laid out, tastefully refurbished. Menu changes frequently we noticed so little chance of getting bored. Excellent quality food, meat and veggie, one small plea would be for gluten-free bread rolls/burger buns in the future.
