About The Blind Bull
12th Century Inn in the heart of the Peak District
Gastropub | Ensuite Rooms | Stand-alone cottage
The Blind Bull, Little Hucklow’s youngest independent pub with a long history. We’re situated in the heart of the stunning Peak District and inhabit the site of Britain’s fifth oldest public house. After an extensive renovation, we have restored the 12th century inn to its former glory and created a unique dining space and six gorgeous rooms. We want The Blind Bull to be your newest home from home: a casual and welcoming place to gather and taste Derbyshire’s most delicious food and drink.
Food nice but roast dinner was only Luke warm
Our first visit and will not be our last. The place has been refurbished to a very high standard and creates a lovely atmosphere throughout and all the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The Covid 19 protocol is keenly observed and as a result you feel very safe and relaxed in a public environment. Overall the food quality was very good and even the slight problem I had with my starter was resolved very quickly. Drinks reasonably priced with plenty of choice for real ale enthusiasts and sitting having your first drink in the sun on the terrace, is a perfect start to the evening.
We had a fantastic meal - beautiful surroundings and lovely staff. What a treat after lockdown! Thank you!
This was our first visit to the Blind Bull and it certainly won’t be the last ! After visiting I can say that the Bull has jumped straight in to my top 3 of Derbyshire eateries, alongside the Old Hall at Chinley & Royal Oak at Hurdlow, both award winning pubs. Ambiance and decor of the pub are spot on meaning my wife who likes to dress up for night out didn’t feel out of place with other customers in walking gear. The selection of starters was such a change and the beef cheeks were fantastic and if partnered with a salad & some skinny fries would be a great main course.
We had a great evening, sitting outside in the garden enjoying the beautiful view and the double rainbow that appeared. The food was truly delicious and the service and staff really friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back, thank you.
We had the most wonderful experience at the Blind Bull. The food was amazing, the beer and wine great and the pub has been renovated to such a high standard, in such a beautiful setting. Our only worry is how difficult it will be to book in future as more people get to know about this absolute gem. Well done to Raab and Ali!
If you are lucky enough to dine outside , then this place has few equals . Good food and efficient service . We will be back !
This was our 5th visit to the Blind Bull but only 2nd time to eat. Again, faultless! All food delicious, staff are smiley, courteous, efficient and helpful. Wholeheartedly recommend, we’ll be back soon
Fantastic! My personal choices were a little heavy on chargrill but I should have asked more questions. Love what you’ve done with the place, loved the food, loved the wine, other guests loved the beer. Loved the general feel of the place. Good work. Thank you 😃😃😃
The Blind Bull was an amazing dining experience set in a 12th century inn with rustic interior design. The space is gorgeous and the food resembled fine dining more than standard pub food and the owner was so friendly and enthusiastic. Definitely worth a visit.
Lovely pub with friendly staff, service and food excellent, will definitely return.
Fantastic food with a wonderful view, lovely staff. Will definitely be back and have already recommended! Thank you
Absolutely lovely place, really well renovated stunning! Great food and staff too! Found the acoustics a little difficult for some. Would definitely recommend it .....add it to your must do bucket list. I can see this place just getting better and better. Well done.
Lovely roast dinner in a great setting, can't wait to come back!
We had a great evening with wonderful food and wine!!
We throughly enjoyed our experience at The Blind Bull. We stumbled across this little gem last week when you had first opened and the bar snacks were lovely and we were your first official customers. Yesterday we returned with friends to sample the menu wow the food was lovely and we loved how unique your menu is. The food is mouth watering, lovely and fresh. The staff are lovely and accommodating. We will most definitely return again. Thank you the Mcloughlin's
Excellent visit. Great to see a well loved pub reopened! Already recommending and other locals are now looking forward to coming up to see you.
