About The Blacksmiths Arms
Contemporary Gastro pub using the finest local produce with a relaxed atmosphere offering professional and friendly service
Excellent service with real tasty food. We have been a number of times and will be visiting again.
We had a family evening meal out. The food and service is always good.
We had to request the food to be warmed up and the veg as they were Luke warm. Apart from that the food was delicious
Fabulous birthday dinner. Delicious mussels followed by trout. I really recommend this dish. Love this restaurant.
Really good food, superb service, good price definitely recommend it.
A lovely meal served by friendly efficient staff. One of my favourite places to eat.
We have been a couple of times always friendly staff, a good atomosphere and lovely food.
Warm welcome, service was good. Fabulous food, presentation, texture and flavours were amazing. Would recommend this place and have done.
Food took ages to arrive in what was a relatively empty sitting. Presentation was poor compared with pics on the site. Fish was dry, all food was overpriced for its quality. Happy to pay lots of money for food but not happy to pay this for what we got. Best items were hummus and chutney.
Lovely service and good food. Atmosphere buzzy but not noisy. Perfect.
Sunday dinner was really good, catered for vegetarian and the sticky toffee pudding was delicious.
Excellent all round including vegetarian options !
highly recommend a visit
Always enjoy fantastic food whenever we treat ourselves at the blacksmiths
We had a lovely lunch - thanks
Excellent food. Only complaint being the duck didn’t arrive with the advertised blackberries, which it needed to add acidity to the dish and no hint of smokiness in the smoked potatoes. Excellent well priced wine list and attentive service.
Delicious food and varied menu.
There was two vegan mains on offer on the menu... when ordered, I was told both weren’t actually suitable for vegans! So the chef had to make something off menu. Please don’t advertise vegan choices on the menu when this is certainly not the case.
Service was as you would expect, efficient, non fussy, and with a smile.
Visited for Sunday lunch. The starters were very nice. For mains we both chose veggie sausages, which were tough and a bit tasteless. The potatoes, veg and gravy were lovely. We've given 3 stars for 'atmosphere' because our table was in a doorway and on the 'run' for everybody walking from the bar area to the restaurant rooms. The service was a bit uncoordinated because there were a few different people taking orders and serving, but the staff were fab.
Tasty food and service was very good other than a long wait for our sweet die to problem in kitchen. Staff kept us informed but delay meant we could not stop for coffee. Will however be happy to recommend to friends and to revisit.
Absolutely great staff at the Blacksmith arms. So glad we found this place. As a vegetarian it was so amazing to see 3 out of the 7 options on a Sunday for main course were vegetarian. Mine and my girlfriends favourite
Very happy with the level of service great food great atmosphere.
Long time to get our bill.
