Really good place to eat
Great first visit to the Bistro. Really enjoyed the food and special thanks to Donna, who went out of her way to make sure that everyone was happy with their meals with an added bonus of managing to get some chocolate buttons for a fussy 9 year old!
most frustrating thing was trying to get a table booked and bring told to book a week in advance !
Staff were lovely and sorted out one small problem very quickly. Good menu (much nicer than the restaurant), though strange to be on the DBB package and having to pay so much extra to eat in the Bistro - the allotted £16 didn't go too far.
Food quality variable. We had eaten in the Bistro 2 weeks previously when my wife had a fish main course which she really enjoyed. Had the same this time but was a bit greasy, nearly all the veg had changed and was not as well prepared. Otherwise service, etc, good
Lovely family meal. Staff very friendly, helpful and attentive.
The food we ordered wasn't available that our party ordered we changed our order to suit what food was left. We ordered 3 steaks medium done 2 of which were ok 1 of which was rare uncooked and full of fat. When we complained to the supervisor and duty manager we were spoken too very rudely and ehen we asked for the bill without the steak on it we were told ypu will pay for everything or else. My mother paid the bill and was spoken to by the supervisor Mags appallingly and not acceptable. We will not be returning to your hotel.
Quality of food was v poor, chips were not nice, desert was pre made. V disappointing. Cost was high for what we got. We got the same feedback from other guests too. We’ll not be going back.
Nice inormal atmosphere. Only had main course and a drink-tasty and nicely presented. Would recommend.
Food was average but far too expensive. I was on dinner, bed and breakfast package and was only allowed to have £16 worth this meant only main meal at £15. Was not allowed any drinks on this package either. Staff were very attentive particularly lovely Australian waitress. Athough I asked for our food to come together (it was myself and 4yr old) and it didn’t.
The kids burgers were so over cooked they were rock hard and the buns were stale. Both my children said it was the worst burger they had ever had and generally kids are easily pleased with a burger and fries. There was no salad with my burger as stated in the menu nor did it seem to have the dressing on the burger. So many options on menu unavailable and no specials on.
Very helpful, polite, friendly staff.
The staff at The Bistro are some of the best I have come across. I had children with me and they went over and above to make the dining experience simple and enjoyable.
Good food. Friendly and attentive staff.
I was recomended the Lounge by the staff. It was however not a good restaurnt. The restaurant room felt like a school diner (one big room and pleanty of tables) and the food was poorly made, even though I took a sirlion beef. The hotel needs and upgrade, both facility wise and staff service training.
Food in bistro was ok.drinks very expensive.
Good selection of food, children can choose off the main menu too. Friendly service, quieter than the main restaurant. Love the Crayfish starter!
40 minutes for mains. Child's meal awful. Heinz tomato soup and frozen pizza. AVOID
Good food and good service
Food was excellent and the waiting staff were very friendly and helpfull
Excellent service during both our visits. Very helpful and attentive staff made us feel very welcome. Very enjoyable dining experience.
food was very long wait. kids chips had salt n vinegar which is bad for kids.asked for steak well done but was pink and bloody waited so long on order that i ate it anyway average food poor service
very nice food although it does stretch the DBB allowance somewhat (adults only allowed £16?) At least the menu has a decent choice unlike the Inverdruie which hasnt changed menus in the last few years. We maybe timed it badly but hardly any atmos on both evenings we dined there (20:00) Staff very good, welcoming and friendly
Fantastic service amd food was yummy. Nice change from the other hotel restanurant.
Staff lovely and attentive, food good too
