About The Bistro at Hilton Coylumbridge
The Bistro’s atmosphere is cool and calm, with contemporary colours and soft lighting, as well as an extensive chalkboard menu featuring daily specials. Join us for an array of inspired and traditional dishes, including piri piri chicken; vegetarian dishes including primavera risotto; and a selection of steaks and accompanying sauces to suit everyone.
Very helpful, polite, friendly staff.
The staff at The Bistro are some of the best I have come across. I had children with me and they went over and above to make the dining experience simple and enjoyable.
Good food. Friendly and attentive staff.
I was recomended the Lounge by the staff. It was however not a good restaurnt. The restaurant room felt like a school diner (one big room and pleanty of tables) and the food was poorly made, even though I took a sirlion beef. The hotel needs and upgrade, both facility wise and staff service training.
Food in bistro was ok.drinks very expensive.
Good selection of food, children can choose off the main menu too. Friendly service, quieter than the main restaurant. Love the Crayfish starter!
40 minutes for mains. Child's meal awful. Heinz tomato soup and frozen pizza. AVOID
Good food and good service
Food was excellent and the waiting staff were very friendly and helpfull
Excellent service during both our visits. Very helpful and attentive staff made us feel very welcome. Very enjoyable dining experience.
food was very long wait. kids chips had salt n vinegar which is bad for kids.asked for steak well done but was pink and bloody waited so long on order that i ate it anyway average food poor service
very nice food although it does stretch the DBB allowance somewhat (adults only allowed £16?) At least the menu has a decent choice unlike the Inverdruie which hasnt changed menus in the last few years. We maybe timed it badly but hardly any atmos on both evenings we dined there (20:00) Staff very good, welcoming and friendly
Fantastic service amd food was yummy. Nice change from the other hotel restanurant.
Staff lovely and attentive, food good too
Chips were undercooked, chicken had fatty bits, hummus was tasteless, menu limited as items not available, atmosphere non existent and some staff looked like they didn’t know where they where.
THE SERVICE WAS GREAT IN THE BISTRO, STAFF VERY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY I DIDNT CATCH HER NAME BUT AM SURE SHE WAS FROM NEWCASTLE THE WAITRESS AND SHE WAS GREAT WITH THE KIDS
Dedicated and professional service from young team members, who were kept busy but made time to chat a little with all restaurant guests. A very pleasant dining experience. The only slight problem was the lighting. Some tables were in near darkness, while others had adequate and cosy lights.
lovely service and super tasty food. Thanks You
Staff were lovely and helpful. Food was delicious. Room was quite dark and not very atmospheric.
three years we have had a short break at Coylumbridge and the menu at either the Bistro or the Inverdrui restaurant has not altered. We would like to see some traditional choices on the menu. We also didn’t know the Bistro was closed Mondays or Tuesdays at the moment until we turned up to eat, it was only then we learned that we could order at the bar and eat in the Foyer as part of our booking deal.
Our server Brian was fantastic. Great service and much more relaxed than the Inverdruie restaurant. A good selection of mains, though a few more salads would have been appreciated. Portions were huge! Children’s menu was well varied and of a good size. Only niggles- the Bistro was far too hot which made the experience less than ideal. Also, the £16 DBB allowance is an awkward amount...not really enough for even 2 courses. However, we’ll definitely return as it was a breath of fresh air after always heading to the Inverdruie on previous visits.
My husband and daughters had wonderful meals. Highly recommend the kids menu and the hamburgers. I spiraled and ordered a steak. 8 oz steak that st least 3 ounces was fat. No air conditioning, so hot people were fanning themselves with their menu. Staff were lovely.
Attentive staff who dealt well with a food allergy. Took the time to explain my options, checked with the chef and made recommendations for dishes. Nice meal if a bit pricy for what it was.
It was so dark I had to use my phone torch to read the menu. Food was good, and the kids enjoyed theirs.
Food was as expected for a chain hotel, slightly overpriced for the quality but everyone ate most of what was on the plates so can’t have been that bad! Service was variable. Very pleasant greeting and chef available to support a member of my party with special dietary needs, however staff availability to help during service was limited despite plenty of staff being available. Staff need to make themselves more visible to diners and circulate the room rather than diners having to approach the bar for assistance. Overall a 3.5/5 experience.
