About The Bistro at Cornhill Castle
We’ve got a delicious choice of traditional favourites along with our twist on some European classics.
We hope you enjoy our new menu in our wonderful surroundings.
Great service and lovely food. Will definitely return.
So good we are coming back this evening :)
My son and his wife (from the States) were utterly delighted, it made for a grand climax to their holiday.
There for my husband's birthday lunch. Good food, good service, good atmosphere and fantastic setting. Thank you.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming Atmosphere was lovely Views are stunning Food was very good We will be back
Beautiful place to dine, excellent service, varied menu to suit all tastes,
No cutlery for the desserts - had to come and find a waitress to ask for more coffee Food exceptional Otherwise very lovely visit
Nice meal, only one other table so lacked atmosphere. Staff were lovely, professional and polite
Lovely lunch, pleasant and helpful staff.
Super room, friendly staff we had a great relaxing time.
Great place to stay, breakfast was lovely but toast was late nearly finished our breakfast before it came, but was Delicious.
The staff were great. We all had a fantastic time. I was a bit worried bringing my 3 year old but there was no need to be stressing out. We will definatly be back !
Staff were very friendly from the receptionist to the waiting staff.
Very helpful staff
Lovely place, great setting, food really good, service excellent.
Lovely selection of sandwiches and cakes, more than enough for us all. Stunning location and very friendly and helpful staff.
Excellent Sunday lunch!
We enjoy visiting the Cornhill. However there are some small changes which would enhance the experience more. Use linen napkins rather than paper, have candlelight on tables (used tealight was in holder next to table), reduce overall lighting in restaurant to create atmosphere, offer bread rolls pre dinner, offer crackers or bread with the terrine (starter). Also the roast chicken was dry obviously having been cooked earlier in the day as part of the 'special'. Overall we do like the Cornhill but these small changes would definitely add to a more positive experience.
Breakfast buffet very basic no fresh prepared fruit e.g. melon or fruit salad no grapefruit juice and no fresh water . Evening meal no alacarte menu available as had had no deliveries of provisions poor excuse
Not the usual atmosphere as restaurant was very quiet
Room was cold. Pub food standard. Disappointing.
Food was very good and staff friendly and efficient. View from our window in dining room was lovely .
The place needs refurbishing, too dark, too dull, no atmosphere. The young waiting staff tried their best.
Had stopped going to Cornhill Castle due to several poor lunches. Afternoon tea was lovely though.
Very pleased with our visit. The surroundings are beautiful.
