About Plate, Bathwick's Restaurant & Bar
Our brand new restaurant is now open for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner and comes complete with a new chef, it's own bar and plenty of Bird personality; providing a fabulously flamboyant setting be it for a light lunch, a wonderful afternoon tea or a delicious dinner, not forgetting a traditional Sunday lunch too, and everyone - including local residents and visitors to Bath, not just hotel guests - is welcome to eat, drink and relax with us.
Encapsulating a taste of Bath with authentic British dishes celebrating fresh, seasonal produce, Leon's ever-changing menus feature the finest ingredients from farmers and fishermen, hand-picked to create spectacular, playful dishes ideal for sharing and socialising over.
I would love to hear cool music in the background instead of no music it all adds to the vibe and this place could be the new trendy hub on a fri eve for cocktails followed by dinner
Excellent service, staff very friendly & attentive. Great lively atmosphere & fantastic food. Would definitely recommend to family & friends.
Really enjoyed our meal and were well looked after - thanks
Very well organised Covid arrangements. Lovely setting the outdoor tables are fabulous. Great food and great service.
Lovely Sunday brunch outdoors in the sunshine - well done to the Plate/Bird for making outside dining possible. Food was delicious & unlimited tea/coffee included in price - great value too.
Food was very good, like the dining concept of plates. Our waitress (sorry to have forgot her name) was very friendly and attentive. She did a great job. Setting outside on the decking is nice.
Lovely service and meal. Thank you
Excellent meal, very good cooking and excellent service. Sitting 'outside' was a little cold, and there were limits to how atmospheric you could make it, but overall very good. It was expensive - worth it, certainly, but that is why value for money is 4 not 5!
Service was good, the food arrived promptly but we were very cold as there were no heaters near us. We were seated on the edge of the gazebo so not in the high backed plush seating like other diners. Because of the placement of where we seated we didn't linger after our meal as we were too cold.
Lovely evening under the tents
We had supper, served by Sam, in the evening of Saturday 1st May... to celebrate our anniversary. Our experience, from start to finish was superb. Sam was friendly and attentive, without being in our face. A real credit to you. The food was delicious - we both had venison, a well put together combination of flavours and textures followed by possibly the best sticky toffee pudding (with the delightful additions of a crunchy basket, and an unctuous sauce!!) we have ever eaten. Despite the pouring rain, and chilly air that night, our evening was warm and romantic, leaving us feeling spoilt and happy. Thank you...
Absolutely amazing staff, service, food and outdoor setting. The outdoor tents are made homely and have heaters and blankets. We felt warm and cosy while sitting outside. Can't wait to visit this place when it is sunny and everything a bit more back to normal. You will see us again next time we are in Bath.
Spent two nights here with my friend for a birthday get away from London. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. Jason in particular was very helpful and knowledgeable of the must see places in Bath. He also made us laugh and felt very relaxed at our lunch and breakfast reservations
Great service, food and atmosphere. We will be back!
I came to visit on Sunday for lunch, so impressed by the service and food.
Lovely meal and lovely staff! Great outdoor seating too. Will be back for sure!
We really enjoyed our meal, we were very close to the table next us which meant it was quite difficult to get out etc but our meal and service was excellent.
Lovely styling of outdoor area. Nice welcome and all round good experience, thank you.
Lovely afternoon, great food and looked after very well by Bonnie and Jason ... We will be back very soon.
Had a really lovely meal for my birthday. Even though the weather was terrible it was just perfect in the pavilion. The decor was so glamorous. Great food and friendly staff
Superb experience. Excellent staff care, delightful table, would highly recommend The Bird. Carol England
Great staff, great food although not sure £6 per pint is justified, slightly limited menu choices as main menu has repeated dishes on set menu. Good place to go currently due to heaters & shelter, not sure I'd return after May 17th.
Service was very attentive and friendly. Atmosphere and environment was lovely. Food was delicious and drinks too but prices for a few items a bit steep (£4.50 for a very small Americano). Set menu good value. Nice to have an a la crate and a set menu when so many places have limited menus due to COVID. Overall loved it and would return.
The food was uncomplicated and good! Despite a raging storm, the service was excellent and staff was upbeat, efficient and helpful. Certainly a positive experience overall. Thanks!
Lovely undercover area for the British weather
