About The Bieldside Inn
Situated to the west of Aberdeen, but within the city limits, The Bieldside Inn offers various areas of relaxation and dining space to suit your mood including the lounge bar, restaurant and outdoor balcony. During the warmer months the restaurant expands on to the balcony for an inside/outside dining experience. Since PB Devco's takeover of The Bieldside Inn in October 2011, "The Bielder" (as it is affectionately named by locals), has gone from strength to strength, offering customers new vibrant food menus and high levels of service. The menus are regularly changed, but the old favourites are never far away. The restaurant is open every day and offers a range of traditional Scottish and pub food with a few slightly more exotic creations thrown in for good measure. The Bieldside Inn also offers a function room with a private bar, perfect for wine tastings, parties or corporate seminars. "The Bielder" has built and maintained a reputation for high levels of service and delicious, quality food menus, why not come down and see for yourself?
Good food and friendly staff
Service was a bit slow but they did apologise for this.
Excellent quality food at low prices. Gluten free food available. All the food tasted good, the calamari was the stand out dish cooked to a very high standard with generous portions.
Langoustines at £19.50 really jus scampi and not very exciting. Fish and chips very good though. Think we will try again in evening when larger selection available.
Staff were very helpful to us with our young grandson and also our daughter who has numerous allergies.
Macaroni cheese was heaven.
Sadly The gammon guest roast was over cooked. It had obviously been sliced so thinly and then reheated it was dry and very tough. The beef was good but each plate greatly from the next. Some of us had lovely pink and delicious beef, some had great big slabs and others had thin dried out slices. The service was sporrandic. Chloe looked after us very well and even gave my husband a lovely birthday wish of a complimentary brownie and a chocolate written happy birthday message. The young man who was also our server was pleasant enough but was slow and not ‘with it’. He didn’t come to see us after we had sat there for quite some time and we had to call another waiter over to take our drinks order. Then after a further long wait we finally placed our food order after being there for 35 minutes! The Bieldside is a pleasant enough place to go, but it’s just never the same twice. Which is why we only used 2 last year. It’s just not reliable enough.
Very enjoyable food, drink and overall experience. We are regulars.
Lovely restaurant and food was very good. However, the lunch menu was very restricted for vegetarian options, which was disappointing, hence the reduced star rating.
Excellent lunch, delicious food at a great price. We’ll definitely be back!
Excellent meal had by all four in the party. However, several items were unavailable which was a bit disappointing
Very good and enjoyable meal
Even though it was very busy the food and service were exceptional
Enjoyed a family meal to celebrate our so ‘s birthday. Food was delicious and well presented. Service was excellent
We had a pleasant evening meal with friends. The noise was minimal and we could chat without shouting which is a common fault with pub restaurants. The food choice was good even though it hadn’t changed much in several months.
Excellent quality pub food and friendly service.
Excellent service and food was first class - haggis balls, venison and chicken stroganoff.
Nice food in nice surroundings.
Would have preferred not to be in bar area, otherwise a lovely evening.
The starters were nice (mussels, soup and a salad), however, the mains were quite disappointing. The steak was very tough and the roast beef was also quite tough and the sides were overcooked. A shame as the atmosphere is good there and servers are very nice.
I am a regular patron of the Bieldside. Last Saturday I took some friends out for dinner and the main courses of langostines and Fish pie were not up to the usual standard. The Langostines were tepid and dry and the fish pie was just warm and the potato topping had not been “crisped”. The puddings were good. The reataurant was busy but that should not detract from caring about serving the usual standard of food.
Everything was great with our meal but arrived early so we could have a drink at the bar first. Maybe it was because the football was on but a little music wouldn’t have gone a miss. Still had a brilliant time though and meal and service was fantastic
To start our booking was not noted on system but had conf email, drinks came, one missing, food came and order was wrong, and plates were never taken away after eating. So dessert was a no go.
Great time, great meal
