About The Bieldside Inn
Situated to the west of Aberdeen, but within the city limits, The Bieldside Inn offers various areas of relaxation and dining space to suit your mood including the lounge bar, restaurant and outdoor balcony. During the warmer months the restaurant expands on to the balcony for an inside/outside dining experience. Since PB Devco's takeover of The Bieldside Inn in October 2011, "The Bielder" (as it is affectionately named by locals), has gone from strength to strength, offering customers new vibrant food menus and high levels of service. The menus are regularly changed, but the old favourites are never far away. The restaurant is open every day and offers a range of traditional Scottish and pub food with a few slightly more exotic creations thrown in for good measure. The Bieldside Inn also offers a function room with a private bar, perfect for wine tastings, parties or corporate seminars. "The Bielder" has built and maintained a reputation for high levels of service and delicious, quality food menus, why not come down and see for yourself?
Excellent service and varied menu with good choice
Great food, reasonable price and very attentive staff.
Food and service was good! We were very early 5pm but still had a few diners in. I would definitely return later of an evening when I would assume it would be busier.
Excellent food and service. Made to feel very welcome with our 12 month old little girl too. Thank you.
Had a nice evening good food and atmosphere Service was generally good but staff needed prompted a few times for more drinks
I think changing the menu regularly is good but current offering is very eclectic, not sure the dishes work that well. Pancetta/chicken/beef Duck/salad/grapefruit Experimentation is good but hasn’t worked this time in my opinion.
Lunch was very nice and the atmosphere was also good . Had soup and a sandwich - both were very good.
The fish and chips always the best
The menu has changed and not a great choice for all day !!! Well over priced and not happy about the set lunch menu disappearing.
Unfortunately due to the change in menu I do not this I would return for lunch, normally I would just pop in past for some lunch off the old lunch menu, witch was decently priced and the food was always exceptional. When I visited on the 1st of April I was told the menu had changed and that there was NO lunch menu! I think you will loose a lot of people like myself who just poped in for lunch. To serve a a la carte menu al day is just a bit bizarre in my opion. Also I have never ever had any problem with the food I have been served in the Bieldside inn, but this time around my fish batter was incredible oily witch caused the chips underneath to go very soogy, as you can imagine is was not very enjoyable. I was quite upset because I have raved about this place to my mum for so long and I took her here for mother’s day. I personally do not think I would return for lunch if I was given this menu again
Mother’s Day meal - it was quite busy as expected but there clearly wasn’t enough staff to cope - drinks orders were forgotten about until after we had finished our food, as was a request for mustard. One pudding was missed from the order, which happens but the replacement took more than 30 minutes...not great for an expensive meal. Bieldside Inn: If you’re going to run a Mother’s Day event and charge extra for the privilege, make sure you have enough staff to avoid poor reviews and irk regulars like us.
Did have to wait a wee bit too long between courses but staff were lovely
Food from new menu was excellent and was combined with first class service. Sweet choice could be improved upon.
A wonderful dining experience! Definitelty worth a visit.
Loved our first visit, think we will be regular return visitors.
We are regulars and always have Posh Scampi but in January it was terrible this first time we been back since Nice young chap suggested Salmon ,it was fabulous best meal I had recently I told him to tell the chef how good it was
Good attentive service. Good food.
ok but nothing special, drinks took for ever to arrive. Mussels were good rest very bland
Great afternoon watching rugby and eating lunch with friends, service was brilliant as was the quality of the food.
It was pretty quiet but that staff were quite slow and inattentive spending more time chatting than keeping an eye on customer needs.
Despite the restaurant being quiet when we arrived service was slow. As more people arrived the atmosphere of the place improved. Food was fine & freshly prepared. Meal deal offered good value for money.
Fantastic food and service.
Excellent meal with family to celebrate my birthday
Very enjoyable evening with tasty food and great, friendly service. Couldn’t fault a thing!
No kitchen working since four days previously but no effort to switch off bookings or contact us. Useless place. Avoid at all costs
