Always enjoy a visit here.
very nice indeed. Décor, service, atmosphere quality of food. Would go back without hesitation for a special occasion as its a little bit expensive for my everyday use. Although, what the hell would probably still go there for a non special occasion!
My only comment would be is that the roast beef was rather tough and chewy. Otherwise very good.
Delicious Sunday lunch, excellent service by extremely friendly staff in relaxing surroundings. A first class experience. Thank you.
had a lovely meal great food and service
I took a party of 11 and all but one were delighted with their food and with the atmosphere and service. One person had a poorly cooked meal, but when she mentioned it to the manager, she was told it would be free of charge
Our group of friends come here regular and we love it
Lovely meal for our family, a great menu to suit everyone. Will definitely be back.
Fantastic meal and excellent service. I can not recommend this restaurant enough x
Second time visiting and, like our first visit, we were blown away with the quality of food and the friendly service. Thoroughly recommended.
Excellent meal, with very attentive service. We will be back soon.
Staff could have been more welcoming - we stood around having booked in front of 2 of them & weren't even acknowledged. Our starters (the bread was not foccacia as described & no apology or explanation why it wasn't was offered) & sticky beef short rib slow cooked were good. The chicken pie was tasteless, dry and stodgy.Loads of scope for improvement - to match your other venues (Swan & Squires).
1. My son and myself were seated by the doorway in the restaurant and I was repeatedly knocked by people entering the restaurant or heading for the toilets, not very good while trying to eat a meal. 2. The beer was good, the jug of water tepid. 3. My pie crust was over baked and like concrete but the contents excellent. The other gammon meal was fine. Fair do you did make a reduction to the bill because I had complained about the pie crust. 4. Service was of an acceptable standard. 5. I compliment you for your web-site booking system including the confirmation message. I only wish that more hotels and pubs did the same. 6. I wish you well with your business, it just needs some fine tuning. LSL

Very good food, service and atmosphere staff are excellent. Will return
I was very disappointed in my meal viz., Cornish Baked Hake. I left the table still feeling hungry and felt that the item was overpriced.
We received a lovely welcome, we had arrived a bit early so we had time to warm up by the fire.
Well presented roast dinner with a modern touch
Absolutely loved everything about our visit! This is definitely going to be our new Sunday Roast pub that's for sure! Thank you to the chef and the wait staff for all providing a fabulous offering!
