About The Beehive, Montpellier
In Cheltenham’s well-heeled ‘village’ of Montpellier, a heart-warming city pub for lovers of real ale and great pub food. A regency building with Victorian features, high ceilings, sash windows and a proper ale house feel. A daily changing bar menu provides locally sourced food for a casual dining experience in the bar downstairs, with excellent Beer Battered Cod and Chips and Gourmet Burgers. Upstairs, known as ‘Cheltenham’s Best Kept Secret’ with its twenty foot ceiling, cast iron chandelier and minstrel gallery. Book a table, order a Timothy Taylor ‘Landlord’ and get chatting to the friendly bar staff who can tell you a lot about the place. Ensure to book a table for the ever so popular Sunday Roasts, serving 12pm – 4pm, or until we sell out.
MAXIMUM BOOKING SIZE: In line with government guidance, we will be taking bookings for a maximum of 6 guests per table. For large booking enquiries, please email [email protected] stipulating the date, time & number of guests you'd like to book for and we will come back to you with further information.
We look forward to seeing you soon and wish you all the best.
Beehive - always doing their best to keep us all happy.
Celebrated a birthday at the Beehive even though the weather was awful we had a great time sitting under the gazebo. Food / Drinks and service all fantastic
Great set up and staff were amazing
Great pub with a nice little garden out the back. Very lovely food and friendly staff. Quite expensive for a pub but we had an enjoyable evening. Heaters outside would have made us stay longer
The Beehive is one of my favourite pubs in Cheltenham. The staff is always friendly; the atmosphere is great; and I feel very welcome.
Went for drinks outside on Bank Holiday sunday, group of 6, great service decent garden with covered seating area and good choice of lager and ales
Fabulous drinking hole in the heart of the Suffolks with a great atmosphere.
Rude staff. We turned up, no one behind the bar, after 5 minutes waiting we tracked an employee down who then behaved like serving us was too much trouble and how dare we turn up at the booked time and interrupt them while they were doing nothing? Rude to a colleague who travelled to meet us for the first time ever from Birmingham for eating a snack at the table (even though the pub wasn't serving food). Inattentive table service. Felt like they were doing us a favour by having us, rather than feeling like valued customers. The waiter visited the table once to get an order in over an hour so we left and went to another pub. Don't think they even noticed or cared we had gone. Would have been better to buy a few cans in a supermarket and sit in a park. It was embarrassing. Would have spoken to the manager there and then but (a) didn't want to create a scene in front of a new team member and (b) the waiter was probably the manager.
Wonderful homely atmosphere and friendly, efficient staff.
Good as ever. Chilly, but well worth it!
Steak and ale pie. Brilliant
Great night. Glad to be back
The team did a great job in the current less than ideal conditions Food was delicious and the atmosphere relaxed and fun, team were pleasant and helpful and seemed to be enjoying themselves as were all the customers we could see - look forward to be allowed inside once again !
Excellent member of staff who looked after us. Young lad, very nice chap.
Great service and lovely food.

Excellent Christmas lunch. There was so much food and of a great quality. Service was excellent. We would definitely book again.
Lovely Christmas meal and very friendly, attentive service. A wonderful day
Disappointed the link I clicked on didn’t book the Bottomless Brunch menu we wanted, but the waitress was lovely and we had 3 courses off the normal menu and our glasses were always topped up, the fire was warm and welcoming and a lovely calm atmosphere had a lovely afternoon thank you
