Very attentive staff and wonderful decor.
Great service for fitting us in last minute in Mothering Sunday! Nice atmosphere where we had plenty of space and could hear ourselves talk! Food and service were excellent
Service was lacking , not a friendly greeting on arrival we stood for a good 5 minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge us. Out order was taken relatively quickly but from then on we where not served by the same person twice. Several different waiters. We waited a good 20 mins for our dinner plates to be cleared , 10 further minutes for a desert menu and then another 15 minutes for our desert order to be taken. The food, at best was average, the lamb was tough as old boots and extremely fatty, more so than usual, the desert was average and the starter was dry. If either the service or the food was on par it would have made the expiernce much better.
It was our first time visiting and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We will definitely be back again. The staff were very friendly and service was great
Not impressed with the food. Steak undercooked and very pale. Also not hot enough.
Had a great meal were well looked after by the staff. Would highly recommend
Absolutely yummy as always - such a pleasure to eat at the Bedford Arms - huge thanks
Very nice meal indeed - the duck was lovely - nice to sit in the conservatory and look at the snow outside.
3 of 4 meals were good. Mine was awful and I didn’t pay. Stuffed aubergine was tiny and cold with half the plate covered in green salad leaves. I ordered a side of veg which was almost raw. I also requested some balsamic vinegar which was a thimble full! There was no problem on complaining and I was not charged. Pity because my friends and I used to eat there regularly when Tim ran the pub and it was consistently good. Will not return for a while.
Friendly staff, quick service and great food
Very helpful with birthday celebrations!
Very nice meal - always very pleasant and welcoming.
Sunday lunch was very enjoyable and the staff very friendly.I would go there again and recommend.
The staff we’re friendly and efficient, the food really good and everything available. The service at just the right pace. Will be returning soon.
Absolutely brilliant- love it so much - huge thank you - yummy food and fabulous staff
Good friendly service and tasty food. We just had 2 starters each as eating again later - as you do at Xmas! - but that was no problem to the restaurant and they were lovely dishes. We will be back in 2019 for sure.
Lovely cosy atmosphere, food was delicious and the service was excellent. I would definitely recommend the Bedford Arms
Service was excellent, very friendly waiter. The pub was empty though so not sure what it’s like when busy. Main course a bit disappointing- over cooked fish, which the foil had to be peeled off as it was served still in foil it was cooked in (no points for presentation), sauce free lasagne also a bit over cooked, Small portion of bread for four. Delicious pudding though
Lovely hidden gem
Very good, friendly service. Conservatory was a bit draughty from the warped doors. Some of our food was very good and some was not quite so good. The halibut en papillotte was soggy and a bit bland and should have been cooked in paper, not foil. But the gnocchi was excellent. Overall, a good experience.
We had a very enjoyable meal. However, it was disappointing that there were no special available. The last time we went to Bedford Arms, the menu was more varied and their were specials available. That said what was available was tasting but not WOW. Was surprised that it was not busier on a Saturday evening. Service was fine bit not great.
Food was good, one of the meals could have been a bit hotter. Service good. Good choice of gluten free options.
Good service by the two gentlemen in charge and not a scrap of food left which speaks for itself.
Amazing service, amazing food! Shame it is not our local pub
