About The Baths
The Clontarf Baths and Assembly Rooms, as it was known, opened circa 1886 and featured a large, tidal, seawater swimming pool that juts out from the promenade wall into the bay. It closed in 1996, 110 years after it opened. The Baths is now owned by a Dublin family who have lovingly refurbished the baths and built this unique restaurant out front.
We aim to be an inviting, lively and vibrant meeting point of Clontarf.
Join us for a family-style, high quality, but a bit daring, food, beer and cocktails. The Baths is a historic location with scenic atmosphere. We are witty, playful and bold way with a touch of classic Dublin. At The Baths, you should feel just as comfortable here for casual & relaxed dinner as you are in suits & sequins.
Very welcoming for our large group including children and a baby to celebrate a birthday. Lovely space in the conservatory area. Food was tasty and good value, service was a little slow at times but we were a large group so that is understandable. The only small thing was the heaters out there get very hot if you are at the end of the table nearest to them.
We had a lovely time, the staff were so accommodating and the food was lovely. I would highly recommend and will be back.
Fantastic venue, with gorgeous food and drinks. We had small children which was no hassle plenty of room for them. Also ample high chairs. Everyone loved their choices from brunch and lunch menus. Will definitely be back and recommend to friends.
Had a fantastic brunch. Food was very tasty and reasonably priced. Atmosphere and views were fabulous. Staff were lovely and friendly. Will be returning very soon.
Amazing venue and food! Will be back real soon!
Buzzy atmosphere, attentive service and food was great. Will be back!
A great night out!
The starters were gorgeous. We were a table of 4 and shared every starter, goats cheese tart, wings, ribs and brie, and loved them all. I had the monkfish scamp which was tasty. My husband had the striploin which was very tender. We had a range of desserts which also went down a treat. We'll be back.
Very tasty food and great cocktail selection and quality. Was hard at times to get a drinks order but noting too difficult. Staff friendly.
Excellent service and delicious food. We'll definitely be back at some point!
Excellent lunch at the Baths, great location, stunning views and the staff are very attentive and the food is gorgeous. We will definitely be back, special shout out to Darragh, great waiter, excellent service and great recommendations on food now i need to go back to have some of them! the only downside is the emergency door out to the private party area were staff need to keep knocking to get back in and as a guest you feel like you've to get up to let them in but its constant. they need to review the entry/exit into there
We had a delicious brunch.....the service was friendly, funny and effecient....we really felt looked after! The venue is bright, spacious, great views and cool decor....we were all really impressed!! I would go back again tomorrow....i am still thinking about the bread and butter pudding.....so good!! Thanks so much to the team....its a fantastic place :)
It’s an incredibly busy venue and can feel a little bit like a conveyor built as a result. However it was much better than the last time we were there when we had to wait 90 minutes for our food. Our mains were very nice and having boycotted it for 6 months since our last visit, we will definitely be back. Probably next weekend.
Excellent atmosphere, lovely and warm, good food, a little expensive
A really lovely lunch. Our tables were in a gorgeous section with a gorgeous view. The food was really good & the service was excellent. Everyone in our group was happy. One thing, the service charge was added twice to our bill. Our waiter did apologise and fixed it straight away but I do think overcharging is by over €40 is a big deal and maybe something more could have been done. That said everyone enjoyed the meal and we’d certainly recommend it.
Excellent service & atmosphere. I will definitely be recommending The Baths to friends and family
Massive improvement since last visit gave it a second try when I heard it was under new management. I will now go back . Staff are all excellent. The early bird menu is a great idea just a pity the choices are not great. The chicken wings portions are huge but really lack a sauce. The ribs were also very dry. Monkfish was gorgeous. Smokies were too. A good chicken wings is a must!!
We had the early bird menu which was nice, though limited choice. Early bird menu should be available more that 3 evenings a week especially if want to encourage young families to dine with you. A well priced set menu 4 choices on weekend evenings would attract new customers.
Lovely lunch nice menu, good service we will be back.
Chips where awfull, hard like re heats, my second time here and food still very average, you will need to up your game to compete with other restaurants in the area, big restaurant to survive you will need to be up your game
We enjoyed evening. The menu has improved by adding a set menu , dessert was lovely and service was very good.
Beautiful Decor & Wow Setting - Staff really friendly and well trained too.
Food was served quickly and hot. Very tasty. Service was great - present but not overbearing. Will be back.
Gorgeous interior, lovely food and great service!
