About The Baths
The Clontarf Baths and Assembly Rooms, as it was known, opened circa 1886 and featured a large, tidal, seawater swimming pool that juts out from the promenade wall into the bay. It closed in 1996, 110 years after it opened. The Baths is now owned by a Dublin family who have lovingly refurbished the baths and built this unique restaurant out front.
We aim to be an inviting, lively and vibrant meeting point of Clontarf.
Join us for a family-style, high quality, but a bit daring, food, beer and cocktails. The Baths is a historic location with scenic atmosphere. We are witty, playful and bold way with a touch of classic Dublin. At The Baths, you should feel just as comfortable here for casual & relaxed dinner as you are in suits & sequins.
The Christmas menu had lots of gems and then some dissapointments - the ribs were amazing but chicken was dry. The vegan options were good but the pear dessert was quite bitter - a lot of wine and not much sugar. The atmosphere is lovely and definitely will be returning for a pizza in the summer months.
We really enjoyed our lunch the food was music to the mouth . All staff are so nice particularly a gentleman called Jim . He took the time to talk to us and don’t normally get that type of personal service now . The tables are so well spaced , making it feel airy and very safe to eat in during covid times . Thankyou again .
Couldn’t speak highly enough about the measures in place to ensure safety of customers and staff . I’m a vegetarian and the menu was adapted to suit me. Staff were extremely helpful and ambience was amazing . 5 stars ⭐️
Gorgeous food with great service!
Wonderful service, delicious food and stunning venue
We recently visited The Baths for lunch with our two young children. During these strange covid times we felt incredibly safe with staff continuously ensuring everything was clean and great distance between tables. As always the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Food was amazing along with the beautiful set up of the restaurant. Would highly recommend and we will be visiting again.
Enjoyed a very pleasant dinner in The Baths, from service to food to drink nothing could be faulted. Very child friendly which is refreshing look forward to our next visit.

We choose the Baths for a pre christmas lunch for three and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious, the service friendly and prompt. The atmosphere was warm and inviting whilst maintaining social distancing. A lovely start to Christmas

Thank you for the birthday surprise for my friend
As the first restaurant I’ve visited in six months, The Baths did not fail to disappoint. The food was delicious, the staff lovely and nothing ever compares to the location. I love this place.
Lovely location with fab views and food yummy 😋
Unfortunately our dinner of 5 wasn't the best experience starter's were Very Very small, two people were left waiting and we had to ask staff we're they we're,
We arrived at 8.10 for a 8.15 reservation. We didn't gt to our table until 9.15, the table was in the annex not main restaurant. We were forced to have 2 courses. My wife ordered a main and a desert her food arrived at 11. She had to send it back because it was cold. The presentation of the food was unappetising, swimming in very dark gavy. We felt the food was overpriced. We won't be rushing back.
We had a lovely relaxed time, super attentive calm service, great food & wine, gorgeous atmosphere. Will be back again & again. Michelle
Food was beautiful, staff were very friendly and attentive
Lovely lunch, food was gorgeous, service was excellent. Will definitely be back.
Delicious lunch and loved the wine emporium!
Beautiful family lunch
Very well organised in terms of covid measures, really great service and food was fairly priced for what it is.
