About The Barn At Lichfield
80 seater restaurant, divided in 4 areas.
We booked for Sunday lunch to be told that you had run out of chicken the only meat my son eats and also had no lamb left either We walked out after an hour and 15min waiting for our meals after speaking to the manager who told my husband that’s fine
Limited desserts but we were late in on Sunday evening
Great venue for families and friends to enjoy a great meal-fantasic service, yummy food and look forward to returning soon.
First time visit . Very satisfied . Quick service and food so good . Pricewise you get exactly what you pay for . Its not cheap but is superb value for money . All home tasting Sunday lunch. Children welcome and to sum up we will be back .
We thank Ann Marie for all her help
They guy at front of house was fabulous... Service was excellent Would fully recommend
First visit. Originally booked for 3.30 but arrived early and asked to move table time. This was no problem. Food was lovely and generous portions. Will definitely return when next in the area.
Just wanted to give our waitress a praise - I think her name was Anne-Marie she was excellent
Lovely place. Staff helpful and friendly. Mistakes on puds due to a printer error!! Need more staff on.
We had a pleasant meal but did feel it was a bit expensive for what it was. Service was quicker than our last visit which was 12 months ago. We did have to ask for the music to be turned down as it was very intrusive and made conversation difficult, particularly for one member of the group who wears a hearing aid. A fork as well as a spoon when pudding came would have been more use than a second napkin. our main reason for choosing to come to the Barn was for ease of parking.
Lovely food had the Lamb Shank delicious
Very good food
Waitress lovely went above and beyond! Only issue with food was burger bun came out cold as part of meal but was offered replacement and resolved quickly.
Lovely roast dinner!
Fabulous afternoon with friends. The service was fantastic, food hot and tasty
We went on New Year's Day, there was a reduced menu and on that menu there was some options not available so it was limited even further. There were no basics such as steak or fish. The waitress said they had no deliveries since Christmas - good organisation...... We walked out.
Had a lovely meal here with my husband, have visited the restaurant a few times and food is always great, and location is perfect. Would highly recommend.
Mostly excellent. Only negative was the kids burger. It was literally just a patty and a bun. No salad, no sauce.
Very good customer service and nice atmosphere would definitely visit again
We had an absolute wonderful Christmas Day with you, food was fantastic fr both adults and children and the setting on the upstairs private table was superb. Thanks for looking after us.
Customer Service, while booking our work's Christmas lunch, was excellent. Communication was spot on. Our party arrived and staff looked after us all really well. The food was excellent, the best I've eaten in a restaurant for years - I would highly recommend the sea bass with crushed new potatoes and samphire. 10/10 from me.
Booking was made seven days ago for the table on New Years Day, on arrival we were told that there was a reduced menu and some items weren't available on this menu also. The kitchen was also being closed at 4pm. It was my first visit and will be my only visit. Food arrived at the table and on being asking if we wanted condiments with the chicken burgers (of which there was no hot sauce) we asked for ketchup to be told there wasn't any. There are a number of convenience stores within a short distance of the pub where such things could have been purchased albeit not your normal supplier. My husband went to the toilet and was followed up the stairs by a male who was swearing saying "give them their f"|"ing money back if all they can do is moan'' he then went in a door labelled private - he asked the table server who this male was to be told it was the manager. Not what you expect to hear about customers. The pub was cold. A large group of people were at the bar and it would appear they were known to the manager as he spent a lot of time with them. On a plus side our server was lovely and was visibly embarrassed at the poor availability of food. We paid our bill and left.
We love this place and the food is generally amazing. However, not for the first time, the food delivered wasn’t as stated on the menu. We ordered a waffle that should have had cherries and honeycomb cinder shards. What arrived was tinned fruit salad, mini marshmallows, chocolate sprinkles and ice cream. I’m shocked the chef wasn’t embarrassed sending that out. I must say that the waitress was brilliant and immediately removed the cost of the desert from the bill once we pointed out that it wasn’t what we ordered or expected. We will go back but please serve what you advertise 😀
Very nice restaurant with good quality food, well-preserved and served. Prices, especially for such items as bread, however, a bit too high, whereas main menu very good value . Hence 4* rather than 5 throughout.
Great food and service. A few problems with some of the drinks not tasting great
