About The Bank House
Nestled in the village of Hixon in rural Staffordshire, The Bank House Inn has recently been refurbished but hasn’t lost the charm of a cosy village pub, with low oak ceilings and log burning stoves. We serve great cask ale and a fantastic range of gins, wine by the glass and wonderful coffee roasted here in the village of Hixon. We serve traditional pub classics, steaks and wood fired pizza.
Super food, great service.
Good food on the whole and service. Only slight criticism, the chilli prawn linguine was too hot and spicy for my husband who is a curry lover!
We both enjoyed a lovely lunch, great choice for vegetarians also and tasty food! Thank you
Great meal, all good with fab staff. Thanks Tim
I couldn't fault the food and service we received. Excellent
Food delicious and presented well with good portion sizes.
Fantastic friendly atmosphere, warm and inviting. Great food delivered to the table with great service.
Very cosy, excellent service, food very good, speed of getting served, excellent, will definitely come again
Lovely atmosphere food exceptional And the staff very attentive We will definitely recommend and return soon
Great service, tasty food. Shame with a small menu that some dishes had run out, which limited choice.
Good portion sizes and quick efficient service with polite smiling staff
Wonderful country pub service was warm and friendly Food superb , We will return
Lovely helpful staff as always, great value and excellent ambiance. Many thanks
Good reasonably priced food
Prosecco n Pizza evening, been several times now - the pizzas on this visit were better than ever with more topping than ever. Very good!
Food was lovely but would have liked more vegetables. Nice atmosphere but very cold - my friend and I both had to wear our coats during the meal which we ate at 7pm. Service in the restaurant was friendly and timely but it did take over half an hour to go take our order originally. Great price on the Wednesday for two steaks and drinks £24. We’ll definitely try it again but ask for a warm table, more veg and be more proactive about ordering.
All three courses were beautifully cooked and presented. Being vegetarians we can sometimes struggle to find something 'different' but were spoiled for choice at the Bank House.
Service was excellent if a little slow
Lovely Sunday lunch, the only issue was that the Yorkshire puddings were cold, as soon as I mentioned it, they were replaced
I had a mushroom burger. Nothing special. Look at Black Bear, Shoreditch for how to do it properly and at less than charged at The Bank House.
Load and drunk foursome spoiled end pf meal due to their load behaviour. We also saw them drive dangerously off the car park. Frightening for local residents!
Lovely meal with great service and nice surroundings with no loud music
Great meal. Good quality. Would highly recommend
Very cosy pub with great value food. Only slight down fall was the service being a bit slow. Mainly taking a while to order drinks and a delay in them being brought to the table. Apart from that we had an excellent evening and would visit again.
I’ve given top ratings before, but this time the food wasn’t up to scratch ... it seemed like the chef was on holiday. However, the staff happily exchanged my food and didn’t charge for it. Service always great
