About The Bank House
Nestled in the village of Hixon in rural Staffordshire, The Bank House Inn has recently been refurbished but hasn’t lost the charm of a cosy village pub, with low oak ceilings and log burning stoves. We serve great cask ale and a fantastic range of gins, wine by the glass and wonderful coffee roasted here in the village of Hixon. We serve traditional pub classics, steaks and wood fired pizza.
First visit and will definitely return and recommend.
Always a pleasure to dine at the Bank House. Great food and very friendly staff. Also, well behaved dogs are made welcome with a bowl of fresh water and a treat or two from other local dog owners. Our dog, Molly loves the Bank House too! :-)
Fantastic but need a better selection of beer Shropshire Hop is amazing lagers are poor Estrella is a joke change to Grolsch drop the amstel for carling and don't think about that awful freedom rubbish. Could be full 7 days a week
Great, food and service. Highly recommended
Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, i did feel for what we paid that it was a little overpriced, albeit the food was nice that we had, and if i'm totally honest, we would go again.
They are all a good crowd who work there and we always like going for a meal at the Bank House
We were given excellent service by all the team at the Bank House. As we were holding a funeral wake, the staff were very sensitive and attentive. We are going to go back for a meal as the food was excellent.
Great food . Excellent value and choice.
Only 3 stars for atmosphere, I would put this down to being midweek and early. We have been for a drink before on a weekend and it was good. We will certainly be going back for another meal
Friendly, helpful staff.
Excellent service. Thank you to Molly for the extra attention and birthday treat for our nephew Ewan. Very thoughtful.
Food and service were great will definitely visit again
Very pleasant staff. We booked Sunday lunch and were very happy with the two courses we had, I had roast pork and my Husband had half and half with beef. We both had sweets, I had the sticky toffee pudding and my Husband had the cheese and biscuits, both were good size portions and very tasty. The staff offered the right amount of attentiveness and we left with a smile. Would definately return.
Very friendly staff and good food too, the atmosphere was homely and warm on a cold winter day. Very likely to visit again with different family members.
A great night, thanks.
Reliably good tasty food that's worth going out for.
Took advantage of last decembers offer for the Steaknight offer which made the meal just fantastic value., Thank you.
Very enjoyable lunch and visit made even more special as we were greeted with “Happy Anniversary” when we gave our name
Great food and service. Would recommend
Our fourth lunchtime visit, and looking forward to trying an evening or Sunday lunchtime in the near future
Having had some delicious meals here, we were very disappointed by the service, especially considering it wasnt very busy. Drinks took 20-30 mins to arrive and we had been waiting for an hour by the time our starters arrived. The mains were disappointing, one had to be returned to be properly cooked, and we all said what a shame the drop in quality was considering our previously excellent meals here. Also, we had a disabled friend in our party who found the accessible ramp incredibly steep, she managed to walk up it with her walking aid and help from her husband but said she would have really struggled to get her wheelchair up. I think this last issue is especially important to address.
Fantastic Sunday lunch
Great food every time.
Super food, great service.
