About The Bank House
Nestled in the village of Hixon in rural Staffordshire, The Bank House Inn has recently been acquired by The Lewis Partnership and will soon be restored to its former glory.
Great service, limited menu ok if you don’t want to cook but not a meal out
Really pleased to see the refurbishment and had a lovely meal with you
We had a great evening at The Bank House for my girlfriends birthday. I have very difficult dietary requirements at the moment and the manager could not have been more helpful. There was the option to mention this on the online booking. I popped in the next day and the manager recognised the request straight away. She had already organised specially getting sweet potato fries (I can't have normal) from another pub in the chain for the night we were in. On arrival she was aware again and tweaked other parts of the steak night £25 to match my requirements. For the bits I couldn't have she made sure these were knocked off the bill. They even let me bring my own gluten free beer! All of the food was fantastic and incredible value with the steak night offer. It is my local and the first time I have been in since the renovation. It looked fantastic and the atmosphere was brilliant with loads in. Great food, great pub and brilliant customer service......big thank you.
Fabulous meal and service !
A lovely meal to celebrate a birthday.
2 hours table reservation for a table of 7 is not enough
Roast beef tough and plates cold, nice server, nice refurb, but not a good enough reason to return regularly. Lewis Partnership was the attraction to try. Travelled from abbots Bromley to try but concluded worth sticking with Red Lion (Longdon green, and Newbororough)
Lovely refurb. Nice place, good service. Main course of Moroccan lamb curry was delicious. Starter of butternut squash/blue cheese tart was disappointing- not a hint of blue cheese could be tasted. We will be returning!
Great food great service we are regulars highly recommend great Sunday lunch"
We came for Sunday lunch to celebrate my Sisters Birthday and were really well looked after from start to finish and the food and drink was lovely also!
Food was average - standard pub grub.
Very good food and friendly service.
Superb refurbishment. Nicely spaced tables in the dining area. Still too dark in some areas of the dining area. Interesting and varied menus. Well trained and personable staff. Competitive pricing with some very good special offers. We will be using the Bank House again and again.
Enjoyed our evening very much .We will be back soon
Much cosier since the revamp. Seemed slightly understaffed so a little slow with the second drinks but usual good food and good value from the Lewis Partnership. Knowledgeable about dietary requirements too.
Excellent food and service but always room for improvements
After a mix up with our table been given away, the waitress was very professional and we only ended up waiting 20 mins, But really shouldn’t have happened. We also thought the menu was very limited! The only chicken dish was a salad! Unfortunately i don’t eat s lot of red meat, but ended up having a steak, which was very nice I have to add!! But a very limited menu!
The food was good once it arrivesd. The waitresses were a cross between disinterested and inept - it took so long to come back to take orders for dessert we didn't bother. Three attempts to get the bill right. This is not somewhere I would recommend despite our food being acceptable.
First visit since the new refurbishment and was very impressed. The restaurant was set out beautifully and the pizza oven outside gave a real ambience Food was great - we all said we could have eaten each others selection. Highly recommend a visit
To say that the Bank House were short staffed on Saturday would be an understatement. If it wasn't for the bar man our evening would have been an unmitigated disaster. No one had any time for us. We had to ask for menus, drinks took an age. Condiments took an age. The bill never came. When I approached the poor barman (who appeared to be the only competent person front of house) he could not take my payment because the meals were not on the tab that I had been encorouged to start when I arrived. Had to wait an age for the bill to be determined. A massive disappointment Lewis Partnership. I shall not be returning any time soon.
Everything was perfect, James was the perfect waiter. My steak was cooked to perfection and the desserts were something else.
A tad over priced for ordinary pub grub.
Went for the Grill night on Wednesday , cannot fault it food was tasty! Will definitely be going back especially to try pizza Thursday
The food was beautifully cooked. The staff couldn't do enough for you and were very attentive. It was a very nice gesture to have 25% taken off the bill. Thank you.
