Food was very tasty but not hot enough
The roast beef and ham on the Sunday social menu was spot on fell to bits absolutely delicious. The Eaton mess was great fruit was in season not too tart and the gluten free fudge cake was amazing. Will defo be back
Very good food and setting.
Very enjoyable meal with extended family - the service was brilliant and all staff very friendly. Will be back again soon.
Had a great wedding and excellent service. Really recommend BP to anyone. Many thank to all staff.
Food has been average at best last two visits. If it wasn't for the child's play area, it wouldn't be worth going. Service was fine, restaurant is fine, freezing cold draft every time the door to the garden opened, reasonable value for money.
Excellent birthday meal for my son. Food was fantastic and particularly enjoyed the seafood sharing platter that I shared with my wife, an excellent sized portion. All food and service was fantastic, will definetely come back again, hopefully in the better weather so that we can get a seat outside.
Visited twice in one week, evening meal and afternoon tea... the food was absolutely fantastic on both visits and the service was second to none, nothing was too much trouble... I would highly recommend a visit..
Ordinarily the menu at the Balgarth is very varied. However we felt that the Mother’s Day menu seemed rather limited in choice for the levied charge. It would have helped had we been offered the normal menu as well. No complaints regarding the service.
Great service and lovely food
The service was excellent, the atmosphere was marked down because of an uncontrolled child making so much noise. Outwith your control
Love The Balgarth never have a complaint about anything, Food is lovely, staff are lovely and the atmosphere is always really nice. We go regularly.
Great place and lovely service. Favourite is steak specials :-)
Waitress was very helpful.
Ordered a steak medium rare but came more on the medium to well. Server offered to exchange, but the rest of the party were already part way through their meal.
Food delicious, service fantastic. My favourite place to eat!!! Can't fault it.
A great meal with friends. Great range of food to choose from and at reasonable prices. Will definitely be back and would recommend to friends and family.
It was a lovely place to visit, grounds were lovely for the summer. We went with an itison deal. The food was good, but options were very limited. If the 2 courses had an option of dessert also, would’ve made it even better!
Lovely food and service, couldn’t fault it
We enjoyed our meal and loved the coal fire so cozy
Pleasant experience all round. Nice food, well presented.
Excellent service and food fantastic at good prices. Never been let down at this place
We were celebrating a birthday and were very happy with the service, the food and the atmosphere. Special thanks to Kirsty for putting the balloons I had supplied on the table and also bringing out the cake when asked. All in all a lovely afternoon. Thank you
