About The Baby Grand
The Baby Grand is a well known and respected Glasgow restaurant and piano bar, often referred to as a Glasgow institution due to its excellent reputation spanning over the past 30 years. This classic piano bar and eatery is often compared with the renowned Bradley’s Jazz Bar – New York – due to its similar friendly ambience, delicious food and dedication to keeping classic jazz alive.
This well hidden Glasgow gem sits across from Charing Cross railway station and is ideally located for The Kings Theatre (less than 5-minute walk away). There is a reasonably priced carpark located behind the train station and the newly opened Scottish Hydro can be walked to in under 20 minutes.
Had a wonderful time as ever...thank you Baby Grand
First visit with friends Lovely pre theatre menu Food really tasty Desserts gorgeous Very pleasant staff Certainly will be back
Thanks for helping make my retirement lunch a success. The menu, service and venue were excellent. Rob
Great wee place, very relaxed and food was fab
Disappointed to find out we would have received a glass of wine each if we had booked via 5pm. It is the same menu. No reward for going onto the website and booking direct seems like poor customer relations.
The restaurant is excellent friendly staff, suberb range of dishes, Specials Board, reasonable prices!!! Would highly recommend for Theatre goers and Shoppers. We had added pleasure of gentleman playing the Grand Piano.
Excellent and friendly waiter
Enjoyable experience will come again
The pre theatre menu had a great choice of food. The fish pie and mussels were delicious. Very reasonably priced. Would defo go back.
We enjoyed our visit however we weren't happy with table we were allocated we had booked a few weeks in advance. When we asked if we could move our server said it was the only table available even although there were plenty of other vacant tables some of which were still free when we left - this spoiled an otherwise lovely night
Such good service, food was lovely too
Been coming to Baby Grand most of my life it seems! Love the ambience and the omnipresent piano player!
Tasty food, lovey staff
Brilliant food and atmosphere, attentive staff and timely service. 5 stars all round
Regular customer now, whenever I attend theatre. So convenient, good value and nice menu
Had a superb meal in very relaxed atmosphere.Lovely to hear the Piano playing too. Service was excellent and everybody was very friendly. Highly recommend
Excellent service and would have liked to have stayed longer but was rushing to a show.
We enjoyed our lunch and were served by some very helpful and lovely staff.
Excellent meal and friendly service. Highly recommended.
Lovely atmosphere and lovely food. Very pleased.
Nice surroundings, nice staff, good food. Was a lunchtime visit so no piano but I’m sure that adds immensely to the already pleasant surroundings.
Delighted with service. Love the new look/ feel of the place .
Good food, good service
Enjoyed our pre theatre meal at the Baby Grand. The only disappointment was the unavailability of the “normal” a la carte menu. My wife who is coeliac and therefore on a gluten free diet felt that she would have been happy with 2 starters from the a la carte menu (she fancied the scallops) but as that was unavailable had the mussels and the burger from the pre theatre but as she has a small appetite only managed to eat about a quarter of the burger. What we had was delicious (tomato and basil soup and fish pie in my case) and the waiter was very friendly and helpful.
Fish pie and haddock with fries were delicious. Sticky toffee pudding was also delicious. Highly recommend this place.
