About The Apartment Bistro
The Apartment is a neighbourhood bistro that has been open since 1999. It is situated inbetween the Tollcross and Bruntsfield areas in Edinburgh's South.
The bistro has four different dining areas including a 20 cover private dining room that can be used to host a variety of events from a special birthday celebration to a board meeting to a hen night.
Our moderatly priced seasonally evolving a la carte menu is made up of our legendary skewers with beetroot coleslaw & garlic fries, whole baked fish, flat iron steaks, interesting vegetarian and vegan offerings as well as the tasty as hell haggis croquettes.
We can offer set menus for groups of 6 or more with drinks packages available.
Our wine list is always changing with lesser known grape varieties to the fore and we offer an extensive gin and cocktail list.
Fantastic Meal & Great Service.
Favourite restaurant in Edinburgh, lovely food, great service and especially good to be able to come early and have supper with the family.
We had a lovely lunch here. Beautifully presented and great value for money. The warm welcome we received from Jordan the manager made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
Lovely waiter - very attentive and interesting to chat to!
Came for a pre-theatre meal. Service, quality were outstanding will definitely be back. Staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble.
An enjoyable evening
Wonderful food and lovely staff
Noua avons diné à 8 personnes un samedi soir et avons passé une excellente soirée dans ce restaurant. Les produits sont frais et les plats savoureux. Ambiance décontractée et service très agréable. Je recommande The Apartment.
Lovely meal and friendly staff
Absolutely could not fault quality of food or service. Only criticism was that if was a chilly day outdoors and the restaurant would have been nicer if it had been a little warmer. I noticed another diner had her coat round her shoulders so realised it wasn’t just me feeling cold.
It was a very tasty lunch we had at the Apartment. The flat iron steak was succulent, with great flavour, the waitress enthusiastic and helpful and the restaurant was a conducive and relaxing place to lunch.
The food was nice (chicken skewers and pineapple crumble), but the service was a bit disorganised. We had 3 separate waitresses who kept coming over and asking our drinks/food orders Atmosphere was nice and cocktail selection good
We enjoyed our lunch very much. The food and drink were great. My only criticism is that the restaurant was a bit cold.
Always good value
my favourite restaurant for any occasion
Another great dinner
Excellent pre-theatre supper......food nicely prepared and very tasty.
Received a recommendation from a friend to try this restaurant and were not disappointed. The staff offered to move our table as there was a large party close to us which provided a much better situation for our meal. Staff were very helpful and our meals were delivered in an appropriate time. Happy to recommend to others and likely to return.
All very good!
Excellent food and personal friendly service. Loved the haggis croquettes. Shame it was a wet, windy Wednesday night and not many people were out and about.
Good value tasty skewers for quick informal early supper!
Great tasty skewers - 1 sole waiter that served all tables - very impressive. Wednesday night so not too busy but still had some atmosphere. Will definately return
The food was amazing, especially the fish broth. We discovered a wonderful Pinot Gris Vintrigue' which was new to us'. There seemed to be a lack of resource waiting tables on the night but their cheerfulness of the staff and the quality of food made up for it.
Great food, great atmosphere
The lack of atmosphere was simply,y because it was so quiet for a Saturday lunchtime, perhaps due to poor weather
