About The Angel Restaurant
"Fine food is what we're famous for" says owner and chef Trevor Bosch of the Angel restaurant at Long Crendon, Aylesbury.
This 16th century coaching inn nestled in a picturesque village on the Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire borders has built up a reputation for being one of those rare places that combines wonderful food, ambience, and service.
So, if you're looking for somewhere to simply enjoy lunch, or maybe a relaxing dinner with overnight accommodation in comfortable surroundings, the Angel restaurant is the perfect venue.
Lovely food. Very friendly and efficient service. Sauce could have been in a pot, rather than loose - very tiny detail. Really good experience. Thank you
We had a family birthday pick up meal from Trevor & Annie last evening choosing the Beef Wellington & Salmon En Croute. Fabulous and just what we wanted, cooking instructions were perfect, as were the puddings. Until we are able to safely exit lockdown, if you want a lovely diner, this is as good as it gets. Looking forward to when we can return to enjoy the restaurant as normal!
Had our first take away on Saturday and it was gorgeous. Great wine too.
Enjoyable meal. Shame my husband never received the glass of red wine to go with his starter he ordered.
Superb food, service and atmosphere. Will definitely return at the earliest opportunity.
Good food delivered with attentive, but not over-attentive, service. A very enjoyable lunchtime.
Always enjoy eating here. It is consistently good.
Met with friends we’d not seen in a long time. Delicious food from three variegated lunch menus. You had their favourite Sauvignon Blanc. Friendly and solicitous service. They e-mailed last evening us to say what a splendid meal it had been, promising that they’d return to celebrate their wedding anniversary
Another great meal for our group of 7. We've been dining here for a few years, and everything has always exceeded our expectations. The Assiette of Angel Desserts is delicious. Our apologies if we were a bit loud enjoying ourselves too much. Thank you
Great food and value for money, conservatory quite warm and funny stain across blind but overall very good
Excellent. Friendly. Attentive.
A splendid place for a very good lunch !!
Always a pleasure to dine in the Angel, especially if you like fish.
Really enjoyed the Tapas Sharing Dish as a starter. But I'm not surprised it was good, we were at the Angel after alll! Great food and wine....
Style over substance. Not good value for quality of food.
Pleased to find that we can happily take friends here. A good choice of dishes, well presented, cooked and served. My "quiet table" request was met with a separate room. We will come again.
Always great, lovely service always well looked after. Different from the run of the mill. Not the cheapest but we'll worth the money for marvellous fresh cooking. Only comment I would make can we have something lighter for dessert perhaps just fresh fruit or ice cream as not a lot of room left after such great starters and main. Thank you all for a lovely evening my mum thought was great and already put her dibs on coming again soon.
We don't go to The Angel often, despite only living in Brill, but over the 20 years we have been going this is almost certainly the most consistent restaurant in terms of food quality and general enjoyment.
Excellent Sunday lunch relaxing atmosphere and first class food. will definitely return
Superb service and food
Lovely relaxed atmosphere with excellent two course lunch menu.
Very attentive and patient as one of our guests was delayed.
Delicious food, timely and excellent service and pleasant surroundings made for a very enjoyable evening. I recommend and will return.
