About The Alyn
Nestled on the banks of the River Alyn in the picturesque village of Rossett, North Wales, The Alyn Riverside Country Pub is the perfect destination for excellent pub food, quality wines and real ales.
We open for food at noon, which is served all day, every day. Our menu is coeliac friendly and offers plenty of choice, whether you want to enjoy lunch with friends, a business dinner with colleagues or a family get together over a Sunday roast.
As well as a delicious choice of dishes, we offer an award-winning wine menu and a wide range of beers and case marque approved real ales. We can accommodate small and large parties, and our attentive and friendly staff will do everything they can to create a memorable occasion.
Throughout summer, guests can make the most of the fine weather by enjoying a drink or meal outside on our riverside terraces. This tranquil setting offers the ideal location to catch up with family and friends.
During the colder months, we create a cheerful and cosy atmosphere inside. Guests can relax and warm up whilst enjoying a hearty meal next to a roaring log fire.
We regularly feature special offers throughout the week, which provide exceptional value. Please visit our Monthly Offers page for information about our latest promotions.
We look forward to welcoming you and your family to The Alyn Riverside Country Pub soon
We visited for lunch on new years eve. Service unbelievably slow on food and drinks, had to send meals back as they were cold. Dreadful all round and spoilt our day.
Good to have vegan choices. Food good value but the service was very slow.
Good food good service
Always have a brilliant meal. Lovely friendly staff. Food is amazing. Beautiful pleasant surroundings.
Nice meal and good service
Lovely Sunday lunch! Would have preferred the veg served separately though! Apart from that everything was perfect especially the staff who were really pleasant and helpful.
Server excellent, food a little slow out of the kitchen (40mins approx) but was busy. Food was great.
Very Enjoyable Experience and Meal... Food cooked extremely well... served by a lovely lady who was very prompt
Couldn't do enough !
We had a disappointing experience yesterday. The service was very slow and inattentive (I had to go to the desk to ask to place a food order and the place wasn’t overly busy). It was over an hour from sitting down to getting our food order too. We sent back one meal (the prawns were grey and far from fresh-looking) and my wife had a steak that was very tough and full of gristle. We spent a lot of time at The Alyn over the Summer and enjoyed meals there. What’s happened since?!!!
Had a lovely meal and would definitely go back
Service was brilliant apart from us having to wait 40 mins for starters which we’d pre-ordered. Everything else was perfect and we had a brilliant time. Thank you to all the staff.
Lovely meal, quality of food was good with some negative points also, was lovely but I had belly pork which I expected to be fatty but this had a huge chunky of fat which was inedible, was removed was a good meal
Enjoyed a family meal that included 3 adults and 3 children two days before Christmas. 5 chose to eat from the Christmas Fayre Menu. Everyone was satisfied with the traditional turkey dinner, which looked fittingly festive. Although the trimmings could have been warmer, the turkey dish was well populated with creamed potatoes, mashed carrot and swede, sprouts and green beans, as well as red cabbage. The vegan option was a tasty vegetable sheperd’s pie, with the same vegetables as the turkey dish but served without sprouts and green beans, which was a bit disappointing for a lover of all veg, especially as 2 of the children struggled with their sprouts, not all of which were claimed by their parents. Desserts were equally successful. Although the only vegan option of a berry fruit crumble lacked berries and despite having flavour, was difficult to eat especially as no vegan custard was offered as a natural accompaniment, which only requires a substitution of plant milk to make up. Despite this omission, all in all the meal was a success, as the team of staff at The Alyn were all very attentive, friendly and helpful. We will return!
Booked on-line 2 days in advance which was easy to do. Everywhere looked very festive including the table. The service was excellent as was the food and at good prices. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
Always friendly service. Easy to book on line.
We go regular to the alyn and to be honest the meal was not very good over cooked burnt chips one black and batter on top of fish hard and burnt chicken sizzler hardly any onions or peppers and no half price vouchers for January .To be fair meal is usually nice but not this time
Eone was really happy with food service and value for money.
We were with older members of the family very goodstaff and pleasant food for them
We were really looked after by the staff and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Overall a great service and food.
Lovely meal for our group of 12 Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was nicely presented and prepared
Lovely meal. Good service. Lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
Had a lovely time at our Christmas meal. Service was fast and food was great. Will definitely be back.
I was one of the best meals we have had for a long time. Moved to wales from Manchester so we have been to all the local pub and this was by far the best.
