About The Alyn
Nestled on the banks of the River Alyn in the picturesque village of Rossett, North Wales, The Alyn Riverside Country Pub is the perfect destination for excellent pub food, quality wines and real ales.
We open for food at noon, which is served all day, every day. Our menu is coeliac friendly and offers plenty of choice, whether you want to enjoy lunch with friends, a business dinner with colleagues or a family get together over a Sunday roast.
As well as a delicious choice of dishes, we offer an award-winning wine menu and a wide range of beers and case marque approved real ales. We can accommodate small and large parties, and our attentive and friendly staff will do everything they can to create a memorable occasion.
Throughout summer, guests can make the most of the fine weather by enjoying a drink or meal outside on our riverside terraces. This tranquil setting offers the ideal location to catch up with family and friends.
During the colder months, we create a cheerful and cosy atmosphere inside. Guests can relax and warm up whilst enjoying a hearty meal next to a roaring log fire.
We regularly feature special offers throughout the week, which provide exceptional value. Please visit our Monthly Offers page for information about our latest promotions.
We look forward to welcoming you and your family to The Alyn Riverside Country Pub soon
Great place to eat, lovely on a nice evening with the river, food was fantastic, well worth a visit
Good food and good service
Faultless meal for both myself and my husband. Also the staff were extremely attentive and friendly without being intrusive at all. Would definitely recommend and return!
Great service and attention from all staff thanks
Lovely food and service wil most definitely be returning
Bit surprised that the online booking form told us we only had ninety minutes to eat our meal. Fortunately we finished with three minutes to spare! The food was good apart from the Eaton mess pudding which was really disappointing - just a shop bought meringue nest with some cream, frozen fruit and more meringue nest crumbled on the top......not what you want!
Attentive table service and attention to detail. Really enjoyed our visit.
Very disappointed after all the great pictures on Face Book. Special lunch for my husband's birthday! We both had the same choice. Lamb shank. My husband's looked fresh but I think mine wasn't. The mash had to be cut with a knife it was that dense. Obviously not freshly prepared as it didn't taste fresh. The veg were fresh but very crunchy. The sweets were just as disappointing. My Eaton mess was awful. I had to put a lot of pressure on the meringue which looked like a supermarket one, as it was not crushed, to get it into bite sized pieces. There was a small spoonful of cream and about 5 red berries on top. £4.95!! Will not be returning!"
Visited there on Friday afternoon with 3 pals...we all enjoyed our meals which were well presented & good size portions...the cheesey bolognaise toastie was divine & my friend said the prawn marie salad was gorgeous...the gluten free menu was very good too....the service was excellent and the pub was really busy and had a lovely friendly atmosphere...will definetly be visiting again..the only downside to the visit was the Lunch club menu is not offered during the Summer which I wasnt aware of at the time of booking.
Friendly staff and tasty food
Always friendly welcome and well prepared food
Service was good, we were a party of 8, 2 of our party had a longer wait for there meal. 6 of us had to start our meal without them
Excellent service and lovely food.looking forward to returning.
Had a lovely evening with friends. Service was great and food was lovely 😊
lovely spot and decor. Waited a very long time for drinks after chasing on two occasions. Exactly the same for the food. When it came they forgot a side order so had to go back. Then had to chase up for Ketchup and when it didnt arrive found it on the bar left by the waitress. Food was mixed, burger, gammon and cajun sizzler very good but Sunday roasts poor.Food seemed warmed up and dry.
I came with a friend from Ireland and we were both impressed with the food and excellent service. It was so easy to book a table online only an hour before we arrived. Will be returning again soon.
Came for sunday lunch. Although the vegatables and Yorkshire pud was nice, it was let down by the beef which was fatty and grissily!!! It was also tough!!! Could not eat it!! Not really happy with the whole experience. Therefore we won't be rushing back!!!
Excellent service very pleasant staff
Service dreadful, had to wait 20 minutes for our table booked for 7:15, then had to chase the waitress to take our order after a further 20 minutes, terrible service your only saving grace was the food, will put me off returning
Lovely food and friendly service.
Wasnt told until after 20 mins drinks and food were ordered that half the menu wasnt available. Was advised no roast diners whatsoever but plenty leaving the kitchen in front of my own eyes
Absolutely gorgeous food Amazing service everyone was really attentive And accommodated our three dogs too!
Meal was delicious, had minted lamb skewer and berry messy. Only downside was clothes always smell of cooking when you have skewers. This doesn't happen anywhere else!!
Wonderful service attended here for a birthday party and the staff were very attentive and couldn’t do enough for us! Food was delicious will definitely be coming again
First time visiting g and definitely wint ne the last. Excellent food.
