About The Allerford Inn
Family friendly pub restaurant with large gardens
Still the best carvery we have been to
Excellent all round. Highly recommend
Fantastic carvery as always, and on a day like today the vast garden is a real bonus when you have kids and a puppy. Highly recommend
Pub was extremely quiet but apparently that’s usual for September. Staff were lovely and food was great . Pub clean and well kept .
When we ordered we asked how hot the chilliest meal was and we were told not too hot. When it arrived it was too hot and very salty. One of our party could not eat the meal and another could only eat it by taking out all the chilliest. I had the goulash which left me feeling overfill and sick. My stomach still feels odd this morning. Not what you would expect when you go out for a meal. Very disappointing.
Good selection and replenished regularly
All very pleasant, keep up this excellent service
Lovely and clean, food always very tasty and presented well
25/08/2019 Lunchtime Sitting As usual a lovely meal. The waitress came and started to clear our plates and asked if we would like to see the sweet menu. I said could you leave it as my husband was still eating his meal. You should tell your staff not to clear the plates until everyone in your party has finished eating their meal. The waitress did not return to our table to clear the plates. It was left for another waitress to clear. However, we did enjoy our meal and we will return. Many thanks Evelyn
Food was excellent, plenty of meat and a good selection of veg for the carvery; selection of real ales, though, was poor. Service and value for money both excellent, but let's be honest, it's a boring pub with little atmosphere. Let's be thankful the outside seating areas and garden are great for hot summer days!
One of the best carverys I’ve had
Lovely food, lovely environment and lovely staff! We will be back
Table was booked for 1:30pm, did not get our food until just after 2pm. Whilst we qued for our carvery, our table of drinks where cleared away, but fresh drinks given. We ordered pudding, this took over a further 30 minutes to arrive. The food was delicious, but the lay out needs improving, as very chaotic environment.
Best Sunday carvery in Somerset.
All good but would have liked a coffee when finished we asked but was told they don’t do coffee.??
It was quite but we had great food an enjoyable lunch
All very good as always!!
Really good carvery and dessert. Only feedback would be to give more than one piece of pork crackling out!
Very good as always!!
Food was very bland, small portions of meat All tasted like processed and frozen food
Our waitress was amazing and made us feel so welcome!
Cloudy beer and VERY salty food
Meat and vegetables very nice, roast potatoes were like bricks and we couldn’t cut through them... all 8 of us had the same trouble! Bar service very slow.
