About The Allerford Inn
Family friendly pub restaurant with large gardens
Brill lunch as usual I tell everyone to lunch with you
Great food, really tasted like a Sunday lunch should do
Nearly the whole experience was brilliant. However, having finished the delicious carvery and receiving a dessert menu, we waited over 20 minutes for a member of staff to take our dessert order. Still not being served after this time we decided to leave instead.
Very good carvery puddings lovely generous servings
Friendly staff good carvery reasonabley priced , well worth finding
Great, tasty carvery and the nicest homemade cheesecake. What a treat. Very happy indeed.
The food was lovely and service was friendly. The overall times between meals was also very good.
Went here last year for NYE, and it was faultless. Everything was perfect food was amazing. This year unfortunately the food was disappointing. Our whole party said that. Compared to last year. Food was running out and wasn’t replenished like it was before and the quality had dropped an huge amount.
Vey Impressed, Excellent food & Service. Would book again.
Lovely homemade lunch as always thank you Happy New Year.
Superb family carvery, thoroughly enjoyed the food today. We all had a great lunch.
I scored the atmosphere and service 4, only because it was very quiet and the service a bit slow, which we actually didn’t mind, as we were a family party and it gave time to catch up. We would certainly come again as the food was fantastic.
The Boxing Day buffet today was excellent and such a good idea. Plenty of choice of hot and cold food and 3 courses including a very generous cheese board. Thanks very much.
Lovely buffet, great service and cosy, relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended!
Lovely meal with my family
I visited Sunday for dinner with family. Unfortunately despite normally good reviews we had a very disappointing experience including inexperienced staff not explaining the process of the carvery, and bringing a very poor drinks order (no ice or lemon in Gins etc and no explanation of any wine menu etc), to the food being rather cold to no one really asking if we were ok throughout. One staff member (on the carvery) did ask why we weren’t having a great experience, I explained and heard nothing back. Also on another note, could do with some background music on
Food was fantastic and staff very friendly and helpful. Well worth a visit 😊
Had a delightful family time. Thankyou. Merry Christmas.
You can always be sure of having a good portion in the Carvery
There were lots of staff clearing and they were fabulous. I just wish there was more staff serving at the bar. We had a lovely birthday meal and it was very relaxed.
It was very easy to book online and when we arrived we had the carvery which, as ever, was delicious. Two of our party of four had puddings, which took quite a long time to arrive but were also delicious and worth the wait. We were a little pressured for time as two of our party had to get a train, but all was Ok and we were in plenty of time.
Fantastic place food is great
It was my first time at the Allerford inn and thoroughly enjoyed the food and drinks we had the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return again soon.
Excellent service. Very enjoyable evening. Starters were a little underwhelming, carvery was exceptional and all desserts lovely except Xmas pud a little underwhelming also. All in all very well done.
Took an hour and 15 mins to get have our first course. Had to ask what has happened to our mains as then say for another 30 mins, miracously they then appeared so I can only assume they’d been sat on the hot plate as my nachos were dry and congealed. Virtually no apology or checking if our meals were ok. Waiter looked scared to death so maybe very inexperienced. Lovely place but not a great experience, maybe just bad luck though.
