Excellent food, service was slow and dishes missed.
Very enjoyable environment and wonderful food
Great meal, excellent venue
Great food and venue
It was a delicious meal with hearty portions and very friendly staff. Well worth it.
The Lido has a lovely relaxed atmosphere and friendly and efficient staff. The food, in particular the tapas and lunchtime set menu are good value and delicious. Even better after a swim and sauna!
A wonderful venue in every way
We had a great time although we had to ask several times for menus or to order food. This did not spoil our lunch. However, if I was in a hurry I would be frustrated.
Food is very tasty but drinks and service were very slow. Frustrating when it means putting more money in the two hour metre for some tapas and ice cream.
Everything was absolutely lovely. It’s my favourite place to eat in Reading
Fantastic staff and nothing is too much trouble. My first drink was wrong but sorted quickly with apology. Food was fantastic and really flavoursome. Best thing though was the salted butter caramel ice cream, it was amazing!!! Definitely going back soon.
peefect combination, food, atmosphere, service....definitely coming back. Thanks guys!
Really lovely restaurant which is a bit different from other restaurants in Reading, great service and food. This was our second visit and we would definitely go back again!
A throughly lovely lunch, delicious food and fantastic service, thank you very much!
Lunch set menu is incredible value
It was fabulous experience overall, especially food and atmosphere! However, new payment system may allow to pay the bills more efficiently when bills are split within large groups of people. We felt sorry for the waitress running back and forward to take a payment from each of us. Also, the system does not instantly allow to see how much is paid and how much is outstanding which is surprising. This should be easy to fix. Thanks a lot for experience! We will be back!
Excellent food and drink and lovely atmosphere. Will be back
Friendly staff, great food. We'll definitely return
Wonderful yet again.. and really appreciate the Tuesday bring your own bottle
I was very impressed with both food and service. The staff obviously cared about what they were doing. The menu was the most interesting I have seen in a long time and it was difficult to decide as so many enticing dishes! I am definitely planning a return visit.
Set menu was interesting, had plenty of flavour and was good value - must check how often it changes. Excellent wine at the more reasonable end of the wine list. Slightly strange to eat whilst watching people swim but entertaining. Attentive and efficient service. A nice place to pop in for an early dinner after work - even if you're not swimming or using the spa.
Really helpful friendly staff especially as we had a wheelchair user with us . Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the Tapas-really authentic.
No parking for resturant guests seems a little poor. The arrival process also was rather confusing. We had to ask how we got to the resturant if we weren’t swimming.
Just perfect! It was a birthday visit for my mum who used to use public baths back in 1940s and 50s. It was a wonderful and unique nostalgic experience with a thick layer of decadence thrown in.
