Not my best visit to a TGIs I have to say. Two of us ordered Rib-Eye steaks but were served Sirloins, the manager apologised (when we complained) and said the chef took them from a mislabelled bag? Surely the most basic of 'chefs' would recognise the difference? We would have been charged the extra for the Rib-Eyes if we hadn't complained. The steaks were fine, but it is the principle involved here that some other customers maybe getting the wrong ones.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, made my birthday a little bit extra special putting balloons on my table and even got some birthday cake which was a lovely surprise
Booked for my Daughters 8th Birthday as she loves a fuss. Staff were outstanding. Table had been set with balloons, stickers, kids pack and a game. They made her the star. Brought cake and sang to her. She left feeling really spoilt. Thank you. (they were lovely and helpful to us also)
Staff were very welcoming. It was my daughter's birthday and they had put some balloons on our table.Wished my daughter Happy Birthday that was lovely. My daughter unfortunately didn't feel well so we had to leave early. The staff packaged her meal up and even had a slice of birthday cake for when she felt better, which I thought was an extra special touch. Food was really nice, decent sized portion. Thank you to your staff, lovely when you get great service.
Booking was made on wed, rang on sat and booking wasn’t on system. Lucky I rang. Service was slow- drinks took ages even though we could see them on the bar - had to ask to order food. Wanted a surprise for my daughters 10th bday and told 2 members of staff her age and name. 3rd member of staff came and said loudly how amazing the cake looked- yeah it was meant to be a surprise. Then when we asked for the cake they brought it out and still asked who is the birthday girl, how old (the numbers were on the cake in candles) and her name! Why had the previous members of staff not relayed that information! Poor service and poor attention to detail.
Lovely food. Friendly attentive staff.
Had a lovely time for my son’s birthday. Bit of a shock when the bill come though!
We came here for our daughters birthday and we were really disappointed. The service was ok, but the food was very sub standard and was only warm when served. We had to sit with our coats on for the entire meal as it was freezing. We weren't asked if everything was ok during our meal. This was my first time at Tgi's and I won't be returning!
first time there, the food was beautiful aswell as the company and atmosphere definitely returning!
Food was amazing, we got the wingman Wednesday which was such an amazing deal and couldn’t believe the portion size definitely would go again.
Had a lovely meal staff were very attentive polite and friendly the only problem was it was cold in the restaurant but staff apologised when sitting us down and explained they were having trouble with the heating but this did not spoil our meal we just sat with coats over our legs.
Great evening for my son's 8th birthday. They looked after us really well.
Disappointed that the scropion chicken sandwich is gone :(
I had requested for the table to be done up nice for my girlfriends 18th and they’d put some lovely balloons on display and couldn’t have done more to help. Great!!
The whole group really enjoyed our selves and the staff were really nice and friendly.
Service was abit slow
Overall our experience was great. We had an issue with the starter being cold but the manager apologised, gave us a fresh dish and discounted our bill. Excellent service.
Food, drinks and decor are outstanding. A little over priced and I do feel whilst the staff do go out the way for you it is almost a little scripted. However would definetly return
Laura was our waitress for the night and she was so friendly and interacted with the kids. Only complaint was we were sat in circular booth and it was freezing. Asked if air con could be turned off but it wasn't even on.
Great service, great atmosphere, great time
First class as always food fantastic love the mushrooms with Jack Daniels sauce
My daughter's 13th birthday! The staff were great! Put balloons on her table, brought candle and cake out and got the whole restaurant to sing Happy Birthday!! Very attentive to her table with all her friends.
Wider range of Ribs and burger flavours on the uptown 2 course deal
My mother has been wanting to go to a tgi Friday for ages so we took her. Didn’t go well from the start. Originally booked a table. Then I needed to change the booking. I found it impossible from the web site. So I booked another time and put a message in the second booking telling them about not being able to cancel the first booking and would they keep the second booking and cancel the first booking. What did they do? They cancelled both bookings!!!! As it happened the booking wasn’t required as the place was as good as empty, but that is not point they didn’t know why I my booking had been cancelled. We were seated and a waiter came to the table and not one of us in the party could understand a word he was saying. I think he was foreign and this is not racist so don’t brand me as one but with his accent it was impossible to understand him and he didn’t accept he was incomprehensible he blamed it on the loudness of the music. In the end they sent a local lady to us and we could converse. Oh by the way, He was right the music was way way too loud. Also not very good music but way way too loud. I downloaded the app for the visit. It’s worth doing this as they load lots of deals on it. But waitress didn’t know the deals she guessed and guessed wrong. I pointed out she was wrong. If I had gone with her guess it would have been expensive for me st checkout so get the facts and don’t trust the workers they don’t have a clue. Had to wait ages for the food. The place was empty and it took 18 minutes to get the food. When it arrived it was lukewarm. What were they up to? The bench seat by the window was terrible. When a person on the other table moved my seated moved as well. This is awful when you want to just have a nice evening out. The appetisers we has as a starter needed finger wash bowls with warm water, none were brought. Out hands were dirty for the rest of the meal and stunk of the appetiser. They gave us One serviette each and we needed loads as the appetisers were sticky and we had to keep asking for more. They didn’t bring the serviettes to us straight away. They nodded when asked and then went off to serve someone else and after 5 minutes brought the serviettes. Why do they do this? Why not just bring the serviettes satisfy a customer and then serve another person. weird Also, Why do these people handout serviettes like they are gold bars are as if the serviettes are their own personal property? Crazy. All in all I would not bother to eat here I would suggest go across the way to Byron. Give them the business they need it to stay in business. There is another TGI on the other side of Newcastle I’ll try that one and report back in time.
Service was great, waitress was really genuine and lovely and put my mam at ease. Was a little different atmosphere wise due to the loud group's of men sitting at the main tables being very loud but the staff dealt with that as best they could.
