Booked online, easy enough process. Ordered starters and main meal about 2 minutes after the starter arrived waiters put our mains on the table! No offer to bring it when we were ready, more like Chuck it at us and get rid. My concern was that if I complained whilst there our meals would just be put under a heat lamp not cooked fresh. My sons burger was dry and burnt and our daughters pasta was so dry, basically no sauce! She didn’t even want to eat it. Would put me off going back
We had to wait 1hour & 15 mins for our food , when I chased this up, they had lost our order , then they forgot one of our meals ,no ketchup offered for my children’s meals, we then had to wait a further 40 minutes for our dessert , then after asking for the bill a further 20 mins , in total it took 5 people 3 hours for a meal
Friendly staff and lovely food and cocktails
Worst meal in a very long time! New waitress on a busy night!!? Big mistake! £66 wasted!!
Rather disappointing trip to be honest, although the waiting staff did try the orders were wrong and one of our steaks was almost rare when it had been ordered as medium - well. It was replaced but it meant that my friend had to wait whilst the rest of us were eating. Where we were sitting was so cold that we actually had to put coats on to eat - not good 😡 We’ll be back in Southampton next year but won’t be coming back here - don’t recommend.
Slow to get drinks order taken. Waited a long time for food also. Food was really good when it arrived.
It was my Grandsons 18th birthday and he had burnt chicken wings, which were like rock ( these were taken off the bill) 6 year old had dried burnt fish fingers. We sat for about an hour for main meal which for 10 minutes the meals were sitting getting cold on shelf at the kitchen area. So meals were luke warm. My husband and I pointed on the two course menu for cheese burger and said we’d have a sweet with it. When we asked for sweet the waiter said he’d taken the burger from the main menu. Couldn’t be bothered to complain as it was a disastrous 18th Birthday, so left. Will never go there again.
This was for my 40th birthday and this whole experience has made me angry and saddened. Firstly it took 3 phone calls to successfully book a confirmed table after not getting any emails after the first two attempts, only to see when we arrived on the night that one of our attempts was set up next to our table. Despite not having that party table the service was very slow. Massive gaps inbetween requests, one meal that was ordered by 3 members of my party wasn't available only to be told around 10 minutes after ordering, surely this should of been much quicker. One meal came out cold 3 times which left my friend quite upset, one other meal came out several minutes after we all had ours, our waitress kept dumping drinks in front of one person despite it being asked for by someone else, when we got our final bill (which took ages to come out once we asked for it) it still had the cancelled items on their, the list goes on to be honest. Luckily no service charge was on the bill because it could of got quite loud in complaining, on that note we weren't the only ones not happy. We saw two other tables complaining so the night wasn't run properly at all, there seemed to be plenty of staff around but exactly what they were doing I haven't a clue. The whole experience spoiled what was supposed to be a special night for me. It's safe to say that my friends and myself will not be visiting this branch again.
great food and great service as always
It's a great place with great food and in a perfect location.
Really good experience, waitress was brilliant. Very impressed that kids food came out first so we could get them started before ours (something most places don’t do).
Anna served us and she was the most bubbly waitress we ever had at TGI’s. Really made us feel welcome!
We enjoyed our meal and the waitress was lovely!
Was a really good night, we were sat near to the doors and it was a little chilly but they had that covered but supplying a blanket of you needed it, food was amazing, partners steak cooked to perfection was a wonderful evening
Brilliant service , gorgeous food and great atmosphere made my son feel special on his 18th
Anna was great - couldn't have been more friendly or gone to more trouble. Not easy to host a party of 10/11year olds! Really appreciated it and all the efforts her and the team went to.
I had booked a table for my husband's 30th birthday. The lady on front of house said she would ring me the next day to confirm numbers. Unfortunately, this never happened. On arrival, the table was prepared for us and we were seated. We then had to ask a waitress to take out order as we had been waiting quite a while before ordering a drink. The drinks order was then wrong and we had to ask again for one or the drinks as it wasn't delivered. Food arrived and was fine. They had run out of one of our options, yet were charged for our original.order, despite the price difference. Overall, we felt a little bit "left in the corner". I wouldn't say the food was value for money as you could get the same dishes for the same price, with better service.
The waitress who served us was constantly running around and making sure all of her customers were happy, whilst 2 others were flirting with the manager or who appeared to be the manager and were walking around doing very little, we tipped our waitress £10 as we felt she has earned it. I'd speak to the management team at the West Quay store and ask why he felt it it prudent to allow some of his staff to swing the lead and others were working their socks off to make sure their customers were happy...?
Extremely slow and really cold!
Being a friday night , it was very quiet not much of a atmosphere 🤔 the waitress was on her 1st shift & was amazing 😊 very helpfull & nothing was to much trouble, just hope she stays that way!! Cocktails were so nice 😋😋 food average but they had run out of sauce & our pudding 😫😫 i suffer with really bad back problems & the cold increases pain, the restaurant was so cold so probably will not return till warmer weather 🤗🤗
Gluten free burger was awful - very dry, tasted like it had just been reheated not cooked fresh. Staff were pleasant but restaurant was clearly understaffed so service was slow. It was freezing with the air conditioning turned up high. We had to wear jackets.
Food selection isn't great if wanting to eat healthy but apart from that it was a very pleasant visit and they made my daughters birthday lunch extra special with their singing and free slice of cake
