Service was some of the worst we have ever had in a restaurant. Waited 15 mins for our drinks, weren’t checked on during starters or mains, sat with empty plates in front of us for 15 mins, when we asked for the bill we waited over 10 mins again!! Staff were more interested in messing around at the bar with other staff members who had already finished their shift, or just standing round to have a conversation. Waitress was polite and friendly, but the lack of interaction and wait times for a half empty restaurant was a joke. Won’t be returning.
I did pre-book but there wasn’t a table saved for us, we just had to sit at any available table. Luckily there was one. We then had to wait an hour for food.
Can’t rate the food etc because we arrived and found out it was shut (which we weren’t made aware of) but the food and drink is usually good and all the staff were in which was nice to see because it shows they’re prepared for the gas to start working again. Would’ve liked to have been told that it was shut though
Our waitress and the manager were fine ,the kitchen ?????? I have an allergy that they were aware of beforehand and pointed out at point of ordering too .however ,when my food was delivered EVENTUALLY it was wrong so was supposed to be recooked correctly . Within an hour of consuming the NEW meal I had an allergic reaction that I am still suffering from . It's not life threatening but really painful . They did deduct the cost of my meal from the bill but no compensation for the dreadful evening or the affects it's left me with .
Menu a bit limited. Quality of food was quite poor. Atmosphere was muted. Very expensive considering the quality of the food. Essentially chicken burger and chips with a token bit of coleslaw doesn't really match customer expectations these days. Might as well of gone to McDonald's and saved myself £25 for the same experience.
I really like this TGIs which is perfect for us when we travel down from Nottingham for our pre dinner cruise. Plus we stay at the Prem Inn which is just opposite. I had the ribs, shrimps and steak. The steak was full of fat and inedible but it didn’t ruin my evening.
Felt rushed and I made it clear on booking it was for a birthday ... no happy birthday mentioned at all .. not impressed feel service has dropped
Nice meal.friendly staff
Great food as always
Good meals and great service.
server forgot to order my meal, so the other 3 came out and i had to wait about 5 mins for mine, however he did apologise and explained it was his error, and didnt try to hide the problem.
Overall the service and food was very good, The only down side is that when you have ice in your cold drink the whole glass is full of ice and very little drink. I feel that the £3.00 paid for each glass of cke was extortionate. especially as i say the glass was totally fully of ice and very little drink. I would have been better off paying for a 500 ml bottle of coke at £1.75 than the cost of your cold drinks.
Food was average, burgers a little dry. I’ve had better food at TGIs, this time was a little disappointing.
Very good waitress
The staff were attentive and good fun to be looked after by
Returned my first burger as this was way over cooked and inedible. This was replaced and was also offered a discount - staff was very apologetic and nice about it. However, that same night (going into the morning) I got very bad food poisoning.
Sorry but the food was very poor, served cold and soggy and the 2 pints of Bud we ordered on both occasions took over 10 minutes to arrive ! We left after starters! Hungry!! X shame as wanted 3 courses!!
The service was very poor and painfully slow we allowed 2 hours for our meal as had cinema tickets booked but ended up having to rush our desserts as they took so long, The food was awful as ordered the crispy noodle salad which was just a plate of lettuce with a few chillies, I sent it back and asked for the noodles to be added - came back with just a small handful! I always go to TGI' s for special occasions and this meal was for our wedding anniversary, not impressed and will not be returning to this restaurant again.
Only thing I can fault was we were not told u were out of corn on he cob for the ribs meal. Everything else was perfect
Had a little wait for mains, but was peak hours on a Saturday night! I went with my two children and was made to feel so comfortable. Thanks guys xx
Service was slow and it wasn’t even busy. Asked a member of staff for condiments and he never returned. A drink came out for my daughter, was meant to be a slush, was just crushed ice with a drink poured in.
Fantastic food, brilliant service. This was our first time dining here and definitely won’t be our last.
I ordered a Sirloin steak (Medium) and I only had 3 bites as it was sooo chewy and it’s like eating a rubber. My daughter ordered a vegetable pasta and it was literally pasta and vegies and no sauce and it was so bland. We did not complain as don’t like to make a fuss but food was terrible seems like it’s getting worse . I know menus have been changed but it was utterly disappointing. And I think the whole nation knows as well that when you eat at TGI especially the one in west quay food will be served with at least an hour or so wait.
