Waitress was lovely despite being up against a lack lustre atmosphere and a chef who can’t cook a steak rare!! Food is dry and bland, portions are tiny and given it was Tuesday and virtually dead it took ages to get anything (no beer on draft at all). Considering its location the place is a poor choice for a celebratory night out ... everything about it is cheap and nasty (bar our waitress bless her)
Apart from the bar staff not understanding normal english it was a good meal
Waitress was really friendly & helpful. The rice on my meal was overcooked & she replaced it before I even mentioned it to her, which I was really impressed with.
Very quiet. Service and food was great as always
The service was a little slow as it was during our lunch time however when brought to their attention, our food came. Staff found difficulty in changing a £10 note for 2 £5 and took a while. The atmosphere could do with updating as it was quite sad, I would not say it was "buzzing". The tables are too low for the seating. The waiter was great and gave our puddings in a takeaway box to re-heat later.
They had a problem with the bar staff and being short staffed so unfortunately the time we recieved our drinks we had finished our starters and mains. Due to this inconvenience our waiter didn't charge us for our drinks and he also issued 25% off the whole meal!! So we was very pleased indeed.
Drinks and meals took too long to come. When the meals came they were either cold or wrong. I only went there for the steak with Jack Daniels sauce, I ordered it, it came without it! A friends filet steak was well over cooked and my wife's meal was not very warm.
Service was terribly slow. Had to keep asking for things twice. Food was really good but had been sat waiting for a while seeing it before it was delivered
Very very slow I was in there over an hour before I got my food
It was a birthday celebration and this a mentioned when I booked. no note was taken of this! Why ask if you are not going to do anything with the info? Was escorted to our table very politely and promptly but took over 7 minutes for someone to com to our table! Had to at one point try to get someones's attention. The restaurant wasn't busy but lacked urgency to serve people. Also lacked atmosphere. Food and drinks were good but overall experience very mediocre at best. Shame as its been a while since we went to TGI's
What a disappointing visit! On arrival there was a note stuck to the podium stating that you had no burgers due to production issues. The booth that we were given was tatty and needed a good clean. The waitress was pleasant but the overall service was abysmal. Despite having 3 barmen on, it took 20 minutes for our drinks ( 2 glasses of wine and two fruitshoots so not complicated) to be brought to our table, and that was only because I had to chase them up. Having a good view of the bar I could see that this delay was partly due to the bar men doing nothing and the rest down to the delay in them being collected. On arrival at the table my rosé was warm. Despite having an abundance of staff on duty they all managed to avoid doing any actual work and at one point I counted 20 meals at the serving hatch waiting to be served whilst your staff faffed about or sang happy birthday. Despite ordering a sharing starter of nachos we ended up with a single starter and as you didn’t offer anything suitable for our children we asked for a plate of plain (ie straight from pack with no toppings) nachos for which you charged £5.99. I know it’s london but that is a rip off! Our main meals all arrived at different times, with my fajitas arriving 10 minutes after my husband’s main due to another waitress having delivered my main to the table behind who arrived a good 30 minutes after us. I can’t see us returning any time soon and to be honest at just short of £100 it was a rip off. We visited Big Easy at Canary Wharf on Saturday and got a larger portion of food and more drinks for just under £70 including a 12% service charge which was well deserved by the waitress. You need to address the attitude and work ethic of the people you employ here.
Service was a little slow... But friendly.
We came in the door at our reserved time and noticed a person laying across one of the seats sleeping. Was this a staff member on a break? Not very professional! Then we waited for a few minutes whilst the only staff managing walk in customers attended to the family in front of us. While we were waiting we looked at a seat near the window that we might have liked to sit at. The chairs were covered in food and the place was generally quite dirty. This plus the person sleeping across the seat made us decide to give up and go home. Plus we were there for more than 10 minutes and nobody greeted us. It was not at all busy. 90% empty in fact so no excuses I’m afraid to say.
The food was awful, the ribs were burnt and the corn on the combs were over cooked and tasted like rubber. My sisters burger was cold. I spent £110 for food that you re heated from Iceland. I am truly disappointed.
No fraught beer. Food cold and sent back. Too loud and draughty to the point of almost being cold. Daughters had virtually finished their meal before my second arrived. Appreciate the staff didn’t dispute issue with food. But overall review awful.
Considering it wasn’t that busy on the evening, the service was disgusting. We waited 30 minutes for our drinks and then an hour for starters! I would dread to think what the service would be like if it was busy!
Staff very friendly, food great, however music WAY TOO LOUD! Could hear each other
Very poor service. Was not impressed at all, our starters came before our drink, and that took long enough. A lot of food was sat up at the kitchen serving hatch for a long time before waitors/waitresses collected it to bring to tables. I wanted to collect it myself! Food was lovely as always, but poor service really let it down and made our evening feel a bit rained on, not being able to enjoy our meal as we should have been able to. We were not the only people that were not impressed. A table next to us said if they wernt going to get served they would leave.. as we also debated. The restaurant was not packed out and was not busy enough by far to warrant the poor service.! A shame as we have never waited so long before or had this mind of service in other branches of TGIs.
I purchased two drinks at the bar both came to £19.40. Did ask if we wanted ice, just put it in anyway. So we got called because our table was ready, sat down and tried our drinks. My parents jack daniels and coke was extreemly strong. The bar man had filled his glass so much with ice that there was a slight colouring of coke. When the waitress came over, she refused to do anything about it explaining that she hadnt served it us so it wasnt her responsibility with was very very RUDE! I then had to leave my table and my partner to ARGUE with the bar man about how unsatisfied i was about the drink we had paid nearly £10 for!!! He explained that i should of told him i didnt want much ice, well i didnt expect a glass full of ice. Eventually after some discussing he agreed to change it and it was much better however, i do not expect to argue if i am unsatisfied. Our meals were faultless. However, when the server cleared our plates, she offered us desserts and because we didnt answer immediately as we were discussing if we wanted to she said would you like the bill, she seems very pushy to get us to leave. We then waited 20 minutes for our dessert order to be taken... still after 20 minutes nobody served us so i shouted her and asked for the bill. Within a minute our server was at our table with the bill and card machine. This was very rude. I have been to many TGI's including sheffield etc, and i have never had this level of bad service.
Music was too loud and stuggled to hear what people were saying, also spilt some stuff on the floor by our table, told a server and it wasnt cleared up and stayed there for the whole meal
Nice table but crumbs all over the seats.service slow but staff nice. Vegan options available but we only knew about them because we had seen them on website - server didn’t know about them.
Great atmosphere, really nice and helpful staff. Bit pricey tho for what it is.
Our server was outstanding:-Highly efficient and super friendly. Thanks
Service was a bit slow cause we had to wait for our food for so long .
