Good and drink were good. Cheryl our waitress was lovely and very attentive to us and everyone around us.
Amazing Service & Quality Food
Usually, TGIs is a really good experience both in all of the above categories. However, having booked a table at the trafford centre to celebrate a friends birthday, we were told upon arrival that the kitchen was having "technical difficulties" and they didnt know when this would be resolved and suggested either waiting or going to another TGI Friday restaurant. This would have been understandable, except we had just arrived after a 35 minute drive 10 minutes before our booking at peak time in the food court. The situation was known about since dinner time that day and I wasnt informed so as to make other reservations. As a result of this we were waiting in long queues to eat elsewhere and were not able to celebrate my friends Birthday as we would have liked.
Tuesday night staff really deserve a lot of praise for how well they handled the situation of TGIs being closed temporarily. We still had a fab night and love the birthday song so thanks guys
Birthday meal for my daughter... made to feel welcome. Food and service was excellent.
Well we turned up and stood waiting to be acknowledged for 10 mins then decided to just go in as were meeting friends who were already seated. Then the other issue was service. The wait for drinks was long but the wait for food was awful. At least 30 mins for starters which is ridiculous. Then waiting at the end for the card machine to do payments was again so long. Just awful. The waitress wasn’t overly friendly either and didn’t say goodbye at the end. Such a shame as I love TGI’s but won’t be going back to this one again.
The booths are very small for 5 adults. It was the only negative we had as food, drink, service and atmosphere were very good
We booked for a table of 2. It took them nearly 5 minutes to seat us. It was far too loud and crammed. Ended up walking out.
Samantha (if its the same staff member that served us) is an absolute credit to your team. She was so friendly and couldn't do enough for us despite how busy it was. Please make sure my praise gets passed onto her! Food is slightly overpriced but this is expected at a chain restaurant in a busy shopping mall.
My fillet steak was very fatty. Waitress said sorry but no offer to replace or refund. Left most of it on my plate. At £22 you expect it to be a decent cut of meat but it wasn't.
Booked a table for my daughters 3rd Birthday the lovely girl with black hair who was our waiter was amazing made my daughter have an amazing meal and she couldn’t do enough for us massive credit to her. The only negative I had was the knives and forks were grubby I had to clean them all before using them but I sorted it and it didn’t ruin the day. Would defo be back thank you !!
Awful experience. Got there to be told we had to wait for a table regardless of booking one. Was told later there was a table for us it was just being cleaned and was pointed out to us. Then another family got this table and we was still left waiting. Then we got on a different table where we was squashed i asked for a high chair i was told he would go and look for one. 20 mins later i asked someone else stil waited then i asked the first person again which then he came back and i was told there was none available. We had to eat our meal all squashed up. My almost 3 year old had to eat his lunch sat practicality on my knee. We got a high almost at the end of our meal. The service was absolutely shocking.
Visited TGI for a meal with my partner and our friends. Was absolutely lovely, nice welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff and lovely food! Would especially recommend the sesame chicken strips! Was my first time visiting TGI’s and I will definitely be going again!
I booked a table for 2 people 19:30. We arrived around 19:15 and the host told us we are busy but sure you will have the table at 19:30. We got the table around 19:45 that’s fine because we understand it was busy. We ordered the food 2 starters and 2 mains. Next to us two empty tables after half an hour someone sit next to us. They just ordered two mains but they recevied and finished their food before we got any starter. We got the starter 45 minutes after we ordered but the quality was very poor. Baked potatos hasnt got any bacon and cheese and the sesame crispy chicken hasnt got any sesame. After 25 minutes nobody came to clear the table or asked us how is the food. I asked the server that is supposed to come with sesame and he showed me 1 piece of sesame seed. He told me is there. After this we just asked for the manager and we want to leave. She came she apologized she was alright but we leave without any food.. It was the worst ‘dinner’ I ever had in TGI.
George really tried his best on a very busy night, he couldn’t help that there was an incredibly chatty person on another table who wouldn’t leave him be. He was very apologetic and seemed like a genuinely lovely person
I ordered medium rare stake. It came out medium to well done. They took it away. I waited an other hour , and was presented with a well done steak. Extremely disappointed. The manager did not charge me for the meal ( I didn’t eat it ) I think that was the least she could do. I was also given a complimentary drink. I left hungry and with a headache.
Food was late, cold, all 3 meals replaced. Given dirty utensils which we had to get replaced. Drinks were that slow we had to go ask for them 3 times.
Despite booking a table online kept waiting until 4pm absolutley disgusted and ruined celebration children were crying disabled daughter very distressed had to constantly harass booking watress whose attitude was apalling totally disinterested. The one saving grace was the young waiter we had when sat down he was excellent
We arrived half hour early to our reserved meal and were turned away. maybe if the invited us in for a drink at the bar - it might raise sales
I had an excellent time at TGI’s and would recommend it to anyone. However, it is an incredibly busy environment and sometimes you are ignored by the waiters. An example is that I had a refillable Diet Coke, and I was left with it empty with my food for around 15 minutes, as I tried to get a waiters attention. I had a similar situation with using my utensils with my starter & not receiving a new pair for my mains and after attempting for 10 minutes to get a waiters attention, I had to find a pair myself. I would recommend staff are simply more aware and attentive, especially for the price you pay. Also, I’d try and seat people, especially those who are a party of two, with more space between the tables at either sides. They are on top of each other, due to attempting to try and fit you all into certain areas of the restaurant. These things are all minor and it wouldn’t stop me from coming again, but I always find it’s the little things that make a restaurant.
Terrible experience from start to finish. Booked a table on line and added notes we were celebrating my daughters 12th birthday. Arrived to have no table reserved for us, and staff looking around to seat us somewhere. None of the usual “famed” birthday fuss, which is why my daughter picked TGI!!! No balloons no singing happy birthday etc. However she sadly watched on as other tables received the “birthday fuss”!!! Food was poor quality and very overpriced, for what was fast food take away standard. Service was poor, we were not asked if everything was satisfactory. Overall disappointed and won’t be returning!!!
Funny and friendly service, food was great and served very quickly.
We had a great time but I did request that my partner’s birthday be recognised in the reservation form and nobody did anything about this. That was the whole reason we went. Very disappointed.
