We love this restaurant and visit regularly. The only reason I dropped a star from service was that we waited over an hour for food - our mains came before our starters, so we were obviously overlooked, however the Manager came over & apologised and discounted over bill, this was without us saying anything!
Waited over an hour to be seated after we reserved a table for 8.30 constantly asking when would we be seated were just cleaning your table the lady said an hour later still waiting spoke to manger who said they had no recognition we was even in the building never mind we booked in and was given our little device we had to wait for to vibrate ruined our whole night
Second time this has happened. Even know had table booked for 8.15 it was not ready. Couldn’t get drink at bar as it it was so busy and only one bartender. After twenty minute wait I complained and was enentually seated. After another fifteen minute wait and no service I walked out. You don’t have enough staff to cater for the amount of bookings you keep taking.
Fabulous meal as always, not the first visit to TGI’s in Sutton, so I know what to expect. Really good and fast service, meal was lovely and nice and hot. Staff as always top draw.
Been a while since i had been. Good menu great service
Used the new booking system but still had to wait an hour to be seated staff were polite but stressed - shame as the food was good once we ate but that wasn’ t until 10pm and we had been in the restaurant since 8!
I had a very rude waiter who stood and shouted in my face soon came unstuck but management solved the issue a* to him
I booked a table for Saturday night (17/02) for 19:00, we arrived a few minutes late but was told they were slightly behind. We didn’t mind, just went to the bar to wait for table. The resturant was busy, so we knew a little wait was inevitable. Our pager kept vibrating so we went to check if our table was ready to be told the pager wasn’t working, we were given another one and told to wait again. This was at 20 minutes of waiting. They were letting more and more people in but seating them straight away. Another 20 minutes passed and we checked again, they said just a few more minutes, they were sorting us our table. So we carried on waiting. Another 20 minutes went by and we were then told it would be a half hour wait. In the end we just left. It really put a dampner on the night as we had booked quite far in advance and was really looking forward to our date night. I won’t be returning to this branch again.
Found that staff could not be bothered to take drink order, treated like we were an inconvenience to be completely honest. Bill was put on the table before we asked for it which said to us go home! Not impressed, wrecked the engagement celebrations.
We love TGI’s and go regularly to another restaurant. This was the first time visiting Sutton. The place wasn’t the cleanest, everyone in the restaurant want sat together when there was loads of free tables, staff was unsure of items on menu, food missing items.. really disappointing.
Overall a great meal, however I would change a few things like not as much of the dressing on the salad because it wasn’t nice, and not as much Ice in drinks as my coke became very watery... also as we was sat by the door when it kept getting opened there was a horribly cold draft coming through, But otherwise food was great and service was okay too
The waiting staff are so welcoming and lovely
Very quick and friendly service
Great night, staff were attentive without being over powering and food and drinks were great
Lovely food and great service
Disappointing last visit. Sesame chicken very chewy and overcooked and chicken burgers and buns way too hot...sat under heater too long.
Quite slow service. Had to wait an hour for meals
Amazing atomosphere , great tasting food!!!
Our waitress was lovely, couldn't do enough for us including getting my niece who is a picky eater some strawberries to munch on. The only issue I had was someone in my party had the Tostado which was disgusting maybe an off night (we weren't charged for it thank God) other than that good night will be back.
The food, when it finally arrived, was well cooked and tasty. Unfortunately the whole experience was spoiled by the very slow service.
Food is always amazing! Service is always great!
Had to send food back as it was over cooked. Long wait and service poor. Manager was good and sorted the issues but very expebsyfir what we got. We will not be visiting again soon
Good service, lovely food. Always too expensive!
Wonderful service thank you, waitress was fantastic. Really helpful and friendly.
