It was vet busy and loud so the atmosphere wasn’t so great but I guess it being Friday night
Waiter was so rude, never cleaned our table or removed our starter plates so we had room for our main, when we finished our main he didn’t offer us a dessert menu and didn’t ask if the food was okay or if we wanted the bill( which we didn’t) he took our plates and brought the bill without even asking us. Very rude boy and very disappointing.
Food was cold ... service was bad
I have been to many TGI Friday's and Stratford City's one seemingly has the smallest portions. Normally we order two starters and share, however on this occasion 3/4 starters were needed due to poor sized portions. Our order was taken incorrectly, which was rectified quickly, however, on our bill were the incorrect orders as well as the ones we actually wanted.
Had a lovely birthday celebrating on my last visit to TGI Friday
Poor service. Despite being booked for 6:15, they seemed shocked at our arrival and we had to wait an additional 10 minutes for our table. It was about another 20 before our drinks order was taken, when half of the beverages we wanted were off the menu. One meal turned up out of a party of seven well before all of the others, just before our drinks. The food was decent as per, so our party decided to have deserts. 20 mins after asking for the menus with no success, as we didn't fancy spending the rest of the year in TGIs we just asked for the bill. After many visits, I think we might go to pizza express next time.
Waited over 20 once we were seated without a drink or anyone taking our order. No cutlery on our table, not once did our “server” come to check if we needed anything else or another drink.
Food was cold, asked for it to be changed the waitress took the food with no apology , brought back another meal chips were fresh burgers was still cold , overly greasy and slow service The cocktails took so long we had to cancel them , again service so slow
I requested the car and advised in the booking I had 2 small children. I was put on a high table next to the bar where the children could not reach the table, we were then moved to another table where we waited 20 minutes to get served and everytime I wanted somethimg I had to get up and find someone. Terrible service
As written for my Google review: TL; DR: Food: 3.5/5 Service: 2/5 Overall impression: Terrible --- 9:32pm - Seated quickly after making a reservation for a Friday night 10pm: Order finally taken (this was after both I and my mum spoke to two staff members to say we'd been waiting over 20 minutes to be served) Few minutes later: Told the drink my mum wanted (Cheeky Ginger) was unavailable as they've run out of ginger! She orders a coke instead which soon comes 10:19pm: Food arrives and finally my drink (Andre the Peachlifter) comes The food itself was good, but I've had better. Also the spicy rice side was cold (but I'm not sure if it was supposed to be?) and wasn't exactly spicy...tasted more like Uncle Ben's packet rice. My mum ordered a refill of her coke but the server went away for 2 minutes, came back to take the glass then didn't return till almost 5 minutes later with the glass refilled. When we finished we looked around expectantly for someone to arrive with the bill. By this point it was after closing time (11pm, and might I add the restaurant was less than half packed with people still eating) and we only had our bill given to us after we coincidentally put our coats on and stood up to go looking for someone (after waiting about 20 minutes). Throughout our visit not one person introduced themselves, we had no idea who our server was supposed to be, and we largely felt invisible and ignored (it didn't help we were seated at the back in a corner). The music was so loud that waving our hands or shouting for attention was futile. The only saving grace other than the food was Cameron, one of the servers, who helped us with setting up the card machine for us to finally pay and who asked how the food and our evening had been (he said the gratuity was optional and pointed out it would go to our server, who unfortunately wasn't him). He was genuinely apologetic for the service received but I only wish all the other staff were as seemingly attentive and caring as he was. I have been to this branch of TGI Friday's before a year or two ago and was happy with the service. And the times I've been to the TGI near Lakeside have been great. But I do not buy the potential possibility that it may have been a really busy night hence why we had a poor service. Even the party next to us had issues as I overheard one of them asking to see the manager as their food had been cold. I'm glad my mum at least enjoyed the food but I was on the verge of walking out. Unfortunately this has tainted my overall impression of TGIF's and I would urge the Westfield branch to seriously rethink their service and experience delivery.
Didn't like the service. Felt the waiter rushed us off. Food wasn't the best either.
I usually have great service and food at this TGI Fridays. However the waiter who served me and my group was very rude and unfriendly. When it came to paying the bill, he simply took the money and walked away without a thankyou or anything! The food is usually great however on this occasion me and two others in my party ordered the half rack of jack Daniels glazed ribs and they were so over cooked and burnt that we wasted it all. The ribs are normally great which is why I always order them, however was sorely disappointed on this occasion. Will not be celebrating my birthday here again.
The food was exceptional. I found my food to be cooked exactly how I would like. The atmosphere is ok. But not exactly child friendly. My main issue was with our service. Appalling is the best term I can think of. Did not tend to our needs. Never came over to the table. I asked for a fruit shoot for the kids and found out they don't serve it (fair enough) but then charged me for it! My beef short ribs comes with one of two sauces. When I ordered, he didn't ask me what sauce I would like so I took the liberty of telling him,,,,only to find out he's charged me for 2 sauces. It's almost like this guy was just given a short interview and chucked into the deep end. Service was extremely poor
It was a lovely birthday dinner at TGI Friday, staffs were patient in taking our orders for our meals. It was a evening well spent with friends and family in a pleasant atmosphere. Well done staffs, thanks for making my birthday memorable.
Fries were far too salty but staff were very helpful in bringing a new batch with no salt. Lightbulb above table was missing.
Kids meal was bought not as advertised definitely not worth 6.49, adult main meal was ok dessert I don’t finish as it was cold and hard I had the brownies, I asked for no chocolate sauce on mine can with plenty of chocolate sauce very disappointed
Very accommodating with kind staff and efficient service.
i was very very well pleased with the service and the food despite the fact that the restaurant was busy, you made me and my wife's late lunch special, thank you
Awful service had to keep asking for refilling never can to ask if everything was ok. Waited over a 1 hour for food When rice came it was cold had to wait for new one for around 20 mins .. Everything took so long was very disappointed didn't even get to order desserts as knew it would take to long and was really looking forward to having a desert..
Food was disappointing and drinks were extremely slow
Each time we have eaten at this establishment, we have had a wonderful time. This time we were celebrating a birthday and they made it even more special by singing and bringing cake on the house.
Food was nice as usual. Nice to see a place with a decent veggie burger (as opposed to a mushroom and two slices of bread from Frankies and Bennies). Ribs were solid as well. Service started good but towards the end the waitress kinda disappeared into thin air for 20 minutes and couldn't be found. I was going to get a dessert but given how long it took to see the waitress after she gave us the menu, I decided to just get the bill as I couldn't wait around all day.
We arived with 3 extra people than our requested 7 and they went out of there way to accommodate all of us by moving our table. Service was brilliant from start to finish, and the foot was excellent. We all had a fantastic evening.
