We went on Sunday night, the only thing wrong was me and the wife had to eat our food with our coats on because it was that cold. I asked the waitress and she said there’s no heating on so I asked to move and she said the whole place was just as cold,
STaff and service great, mediocre food, very expensive
Everything was great, the service was particularly impressive. The young chap serving us was a delight to deal with. The food was lovely, however I found the portions to be a little on the small side, especially so for an american style diner/restaurant where portions are usually huge. I paid almost £20 for a full rack of ribs with sides, and I could have easily carried on eating after it was all gone. I actually had to eat again before I went to bed that evening. So unfortunately because I did not leave with a full belly after paying almost £20 for a single dish I have to give a very poor value for money score. I don't usually consider £20 is an overly expensive meal, but when it doesn't satisfy my hunger its simply not good enough. Despite this I still had a great time.
Lovely staff, service and food as always!
Really friendly staff, efficient service, great evening
Friendly staff but sometimes had a long wait for drinks or removal of empty plates. I had to send my meal back as I felt the chicken was undercooked. Despite the chicken returning to me more chargrilled it wasn't very warm. I wasn't over impressed with my meal felt it was overpriced for average food. On a positive note my husband was very happy with his steak.
Food was on the expensive side however the quality of the food was top notch. Great atmosphere and smiley friendly staff
The waiter could not do enough for us, he was very pleasant and gave us his recommendations when we were unsure what to have, we will definitely be back
Very nice food. Excellent service but I think prices are very high.
Overall the worst place I have been too. Took a group of friends who were not from the area (commute to stoke for work) to TGI Fridays in stoke thinking that the huge chain would be just as good as say the Manchester branch. Started off by ordering cocktails which took quite a while to come.. then when the two pornstar martinis arrived they barely filled half the glass (martini glasses being not that big anyway) I asked the waitress why they were half empty and she acknowledged that there was hardly anything in there and took them back to enquire at the bar. She came back to say that the correct measures had been used and that’s how they come. £7 something for what was probably three mouthfuls is ridiculous so sent them back and ordered two other cocktails that when came tasted like they had no alcohol in whatsoever (probably because I had complained about the first drinks). The starters then came out which were very large and tasted great. The mains then came and we had high expectations considering the starters were so good and that we had been to many other TGI’s before and had great meals. Much to our disappointment they were absolutely awful. I ordered the chicken burger that was supposed to be smothered in jack daniels sauce. It was a dry bun with the tiniest piece of lettuce you will ever see. The jack daniels sauce was not smothered on the rubbery chicken but on the side in a tiny pot. The burger was not even made to be a burger but placed in two halves to fill the plate out. My friend ordered the chicken grill which looked no better than a school dinner- the only thing she enjoyed was the mash. My other friend had steak which was also dry and all 6 of us discussed how burnt the chips were. My vegetarian friend ordered the roasted veg pasta which looked like it had been cooked then left in the oven to dry up. No-one finished there plate and the only reason we eat half of it was because we had just finished work and we’re starving. At no point did the waitress come over to ask how the meal was (maybe because we all looked so unimpressed) or else I would have told her my views. At the end of the meal she came over to take the plates away and did not ask how it was. She asked if we would like desert to which we said no and I asked to speak to the manager. When the manager came over I explained to her my complaints about the drinks and food and was repeatedly asked ‘But what exactly was wrong with the food as she needed to feedback to the chef’ even though I had explained everything already. Considering TGI’s is such a well known chain and not cheap, we expected much better quality of food. Like I said before I have been to other TGI’s before and not had any complaints and did not expect to be served food that looked like the chef just couldn’t be bothered. I also used the point when speaking to the manager that the pictures of the food on the menu looked nothing like what came out to which she said that the pictures are always exaggerated - this being false advertisement. We could have gone to a different chain e.g. GBK or Nando’s and had much better quality of food for the same price or cheaper. The manager did knock us 25% off the bill but this didn’t mean a lot to us as our work night out had been ruined by the awful food. Safe to say that I or none of my friends will never eat at that branch again.
Still waited 20mins for a table even though we had made a reservation through the app.
Had the unlimited starters which I was looking forward to for a while but I was really disappointed in the length of time it took between them bringing them out resulting in me leaving having not tried some of the dishes I had wanted too
The service was exceptional, and all of the staff but in particular our waitress made such a fuss of my son, whose birthday it was.
Little bit on the expensive side (in particular drinks), also it was disappointing not to have a jacket potato choice. For those that want to be a bit healthier they can still come to TGIs have a fab steak but have salad and a jacket potato instead of fries or mash. Great atmosphere though so would come back.
Had a great evening with my family. The restaurant was very clean and the staff very friendly. Food was very nice and came in good time. Only slight grumble is the bar is a bit pricey, £5 for a pint of Peroni, but other than that a top venue.
Everything was really great. Fizz, our waiter was really polite and helpful. Fast service and great food.
Too expensive... coca cola £3 and appetizer mozzarella fingers are 4 for £5 😳 A bit emberrassing to sell 4 mozzarella fingers for that price... and pizza from kids meniu waist of money ... carboard with ketchum and cheese 😂 Sorry but no thanks
The building itself was cold. We really enjoyed our visit and we'd come again
Fabulous food and drink and generally fantastic service but disgusted at a 40 minute wait at the bar for one drink wouldn’t have minded if it was busy but it wasn’t!
Very busy and loud but still overall you get great service, quality drink choice and lovely food
Staff friendly and helpful service good.
Was on there for half an hour and didn’t get served we had to go to the bar to get some attention and still didn’t get any of the waitresses the barmaid ended up taking our order for us apart from that slight error was rather good
Quite a delay in receiving drinks from the bar, otherwise a brilliant night. Lovely food and our waitress was fabulous.
The service was fantastic, however I found the food quite average and overpriced.
Great atmosphere love the layout of the resturant
