Party of 14 Food was nice although it came out cold, waitress dropped one of our meals and by the time it was made again everyone in our group had finished there's :(
Generally was ok. Enjoyed the food. We had a really long wait for food then had our mains delivered before we'd had our starters so not great service.
Lovely staff and fast service
Starters arrived 30 seconds before mains!!!! One of the steaks ordered was heavily under cooked!!! Asked for plenty of BBQ sauce, ended up with a plate with 6 FULL pots and a side pot. Constantly asking for drinks because they never arrived. Chocolate brownie desserts had cold hard brownies and sauce was cold whilst only receiving chocolate but no caramel. Garlic bread starter seemed spicy.
I was really impressed with the restaurant, it was out first visit for my sons 18th birthday. Not only was the food outstandingly tasty, but the way your restaurant chain has systems in place to handle food intolerances and allergies is fantastic! You should be really proud. As a lactose intolerance sufferer this can prove to be a nightmare when we eat out, but with your restaurant, it was really good. The only downside was that there was no butter for was younger sons corn on the cob. I understand this is because you have made the menu vegan friendly, but there are vegan spreads, or butter sachets that could be offered upon request for those who wish them as a corn is quite dry without.
The staff all congregate at times and it takes a while for them to serve you. They often walk around together chatting which isn’t very inviting when you need to get their attention.
Brilliant highly recommend
The waitress was good, and very friendly but slightly slow. We had cocktails, 2 of which we sent back as they were wrong. Unfortunately our party were split up, even though there was tables which could of fit us all. The music was very loud which made it very hard to hold a conversation. Food was pretty good though :)
We usually visit you at least twice a month but will not be visiting the Hanley branch ever again. 6 of us went for my partners birthday. The service was appalling and the food was even worse. We had to ask for cutlery, napkins, drinks refills, the bill then waited that long for them to come take the bill off us that we got up and walked to the till ourselves. There was plenty of staff around for us to be served as you would expect in one of your restaurants.
The jack daniels chicken strips are my favourite dish, it’s what makes me come back each time. Staff are always lovely too.
Went as a group but not really my scene. Can't remember the name of the waitress we had but she was really good. Think the food and drink is very overpriced!
We really enjoyed everything, thankyou. We were made to feel very welcome and the staff were all lovely with my 7 month old grandson. It was my daughters birthday and they gave her a delicious slice of birthday cake, boxed to take home. She has been several times before and had recommended it to me. I will definately come again.
Fab time with family for my birthday and thankyou for the birthday song lol. Our server was very polite and helpful. Thankyou. Will be coming g again. XxX
We had a lovely last minute meal
The staff were extremely helpfull and the manager was amazing in which he dealt with our allergies. We will definitely be returning.
The vegetable skewers with the Jambalaya would have been better if they had cooked rather than raw. However the atmosphere was good and the happy birthday clapping at the various tables was well done - if not a little loud! A good night out with family of different age groups.
This was our first visit to TGI Fridays. It was a lovely atmosphere with trendy and friendly staff and we enjoyed the little touches such and the fun pack for kids and the modelling balloons as well as the taxi and bike in the entrance. The bill came to a little more than we would usually pay but we did enjoy the food although the kids meals weren’t all that different from your average pub meals and were a little pricey considering they didn’t include a drink and/ or ice-cream. There was a good choice on the adult menu and it was hard to choose due to the good selection and also something different to try...which I did! My husband also came away stuffed which was a bonus! I did have to brush the seat off before I sat down although this didn’t put me off, it may put others off.
Where to start.. we arrived to a relatively quiet restaurant and had to wait a while to be seated as the member of staff on the door was on the phone. Not an issue but when other staff members are stood around doing nothing it’s not a great start. The staff member finished her call and apologised for our wait with a warm smile. She promptly sat us to our table and asked of any allergies - someone in our party is allergic to peanuts and we informed her. We were seated and told someone else will be with us shortly. A while later, another member of staff came to take our order. We gave our orders and ordered the double glazed JD ribs, the waitress simply said they were out of ultimate ribs so we went for the normal classic ribs. I asked if this dish came with coleslaw and was told yes, it comes with apple slaw. Our starters arrived and looked tasty. We were sharing starters across the table so thought it best to double check of any peanuts as nothing was mentioned of dishes containing allergens (to be fair we didn’t expect there to be as we had mentioned this, but as we were sharing we wanted to be sure!) We flagged down a staff member and politely asked if all dishes were safe - the staff member seemed put out at this request and said “oh God, I’ll have to ask the manager”. The manager arrived with an allergen menu (not sure why we weren’t given this when seated) and said a couple of items had a warning but wasn’t 100% sure as these items were manufactured by a third party and delivered in. On the whole we were safe, but it’s a good job we checked. Starters were lovely and enjoyed by the whole table. Our table was cleared and mains arrived not long after. We noticed there was no coleslaw at all - we asked about this and were told “we’re out of coleslaw”. This would have been good to know on ordering. We asked for extra onion rings instead, not a big issue. We also asked for cutlery as everything was cleared after starters. We waited a few minutes looking at our plates with no cutlery. Eventually we were given some and told we should have had steak knives on the plate.. we were handed some blunt knives and that was that. Two of our party ordered the upgraded “mario fries” - I wouldn’t recommend these at all. Soggy chips with tomato sauce and cheese, looked as if it had been microwaved - if you picked one chip a big gloopy mess would follow it. I had to ask for napkins or any wet wipes as we had none at all and all of us were eating ribs. A waitress returned with one wet wipe per person - no napkins. After finishing our meal we asked for the bill whilst our table was cleared. Our table had been half cleared and no one returned - we looked round the restaurant and noticed all staff members were huddled around the manager, chatting whilst twirling bar mats in their hands. It looked as if they were having a team meeting! Along with other tables, we waited with uncleared plates for about 10-15 minutes until someone finally returned with the bill. The waitress said “we’ve taken the coleslaw off the bill for you” - hold on a minute, but 1. Coleslaw should have been included and 2. We didn’t have any. We had previously pointed out we didn’t receive our onion rings - we were then given them in a cardboard takeout box after our meal - why would we want those? We made our lack of appreciation known to both the manager and server - the food was nice but the service was shocking. At no point did the server apologise, she blamed other members of staff and said communication was poor. We paid the bill and left. Normally we are big fans of the TGI chain but this particular restaurant we won’t be recommending.
Waitresses always seem really busy and don’t have time to ask for drinks, so we had to go up to the bar.
We had a brilliant night, thank you! All the staff we encountered were attentive and helpful and the food was amazing! The only negative was that there was no option to leave a tip on the card machine, and as we had no cash with us we went home without leaving one (we felt terrible after the lovely food and service!) Thank you for a great night!
I love it here especially the large mudslide, warrior burger was lovely, love it, service is very good
We didn't like the booth we were in, but other than that everything was great
Our evening was fantastic, this was a 2nd visit and will defo come again. Absolutely love the food and our waitresses ( Beth H ) was very helpful, always had a smile and a lovely attitude.
party singing at other tables was embarrassing. great service, but very expensive and not as much choice as I expected
