We had a great time at TGI’s Stevenage on Father’s Day. Thank you
Our server Tayla was so lovely, excellent with our daughter and so friendly and accommodating.
Had to wait 30 minutes for service just to order drinks and food. The food then came out either cold or missing something that should be included I.e sauce. Cutlery was dirty and has clearly not been washed well. Desserts took long to be served as well but when the bill was asked for it came straight away.
10th Birthday celebration for 8 children. Service was terrible. After a good start, had to wait a fair while for main course. Asked four times for glasses of water for the table and eventually arrived at the end of the meal. No one available to take dessert order for ages and I had to get quite stroppy before someone came. When pudding arrived, dinner plates had not been cleared so no room for anything. We had to collect the plates and clear them ourselves. Lastly, had to wait absolutely ages for bill. Was very tempted to just leave! On the plus side, the food was really good but stressful experience for us as parents. Made to feel like we were an inconvenience, not paying customers.
Food & Drink was good. There were no cutlery on our table when we first got there but that was quickly rectified by the staff. Staff very friendly & helpful.
It was my son’s birthday. We were 11 in total and had an attentive and polite waiter. The food was good value for money which everyone enjoyed.
It was very busy which is great however our food came out wrong a few times, half our table got drinks and the rest was forgotten. We had no cutlery by the time we managed to get the attention of a staff member the food had gone cold. The staff member was quick to wave the bill under our nose and wait for the money. This was not the nice family dinner we wanted on Fathers Day.
The guy that looked after us was just so friendly and helpful. Everyone should have him. Can’t remember his name, but he was Canadian
This review is just based on my previous visit to the Stevenage diner, prior visits have been good. The place was not busy but we still had to wait 50 minutes for our meal. My wife had salmon which was over cooked, I had steak (asked for medium rare) close to well done when it arrived. The guy who served the food wasn’t very polite when asked how much longer we had to wait. The 2 saving graces were a lady who called herself nutty netty and a lady management I believe who helped with our bill and apologised.
Everything about the evening was wonderful! Went there for my 20th with a group of friends so obviously one of told the waitress it my birthday so I got a free slice of cake and the staff sung their birthday song for me lol towards the end of the night which is always great 👍. Food came quickly for a big table which is brilliant. I chose the Ribeye steak with sweet potato fries and damn it was good. Big respects to our waitress Hannah I believe her name was, shelooked after the table well and I could tell she was working hard!
Great night out
Good night , thanks guys
Poor service and cold food We waited 15 min for our drinks. We watch the food lining up on the serving hatch just sitting there. When our food finally arrived it was cold, we really couldn’t be bothered to wait any longer to replace. Nice place and a good atmosphere but the service and cold food really spoilt our evening
The food was very bland and dry. It also took a long time even though it was not busy.
One of my daughters had the meal ‘winner winner chicken dinner’ and it was absolutely tiny for £6.49?! Considering that meal price doesn’t include a drink or dessert I think it’s too expensive. Kids desserts were ordered but then we were told they didn’t have all the components. One member of our parties meal came out about 10 mins after everyone else’s, however this was removed from the bill. To be honest the experience has put me off returning, for the prices I’d expect the food to be a little better prepared and the kids meals to either be larger or include a dessert or drink at least.
the server we had was fantastic food was a complete let down. we were a table of 7 and there was only another table of 2 at the time, the loaded potatoes were undercooked, the sweet potato fries tasted awful, cooked in very old oil/greasy. The portion of baked beans badly burned couldn't be eaten.
Our waiter Gary was great, really attentive, great service and happy to have a laugh with us all, made my Mum’s birthday.
Short staffed therefore long waits and difficult to get waiters attention. He was very apologetic but had to wait over 30 mins for a drink and some of our order was missing. I put that we were there for a birthday and there were other tables that were sung to and got a cake. We didn’t.
No complains all was fantastic
We came for my sons birthday on Monday we had a really great night, Antoinette made our night she was fantastic! When we return I’d ask her to look after us again! Thank you
The gentleman who met us at the front desk was incredibly rude and dismissive, calling me ‘darling’ in a particularly patronising manner, however the rest of the staff were amazingly friendly and good fun. The vegetarian option on the set menu was not available and the alternative provided was not enjoyable however I appreciated the attempt. It is a shame one member of staff cast a negative shadow on an otherwise enjoyable birthday treat for my cousin
The vegetable fajitas had no flavour, my partners ribs had to be sent back cold and by the time his replacement meal came I had finished mine and he had to eat alone. We had to wait ages for drinks and generally a very disappointing visit. We hadn’t visited TGIs in a while and now know why we won’t be returning!
Great service and our waiter Joseph was fab
Filthy cutlery, didn't even have some of the last meals food removed. Server to busy having to sing at other tables birthdays to serve the food we ordered so this was waiting on the pass for ages. He never checked on our meals after they had been delivered (this was the same on the table next to us who took one of there meals back to the cooks!) Good food but experience very let down by service. Had much better at other TGI's
