Amazing food! Amazing service!
The steak on the grill I had was really tough. I think the food is expensive for what it is. The service was slow at the end of our meal. We had to ask for the desert menus ourselves. Even though we were there to celebrate a birthday which was on the booking nobody mentioned it. It didn't feel particularly special unfortunately.
Good food great service
Fantastic choice of venue for family get together- celebrating 13th birthday.
Had an amazing evening, staff were so helpful and attentive. Thoroughly enjoyed by our party of 22 (even my hard-to-please 13 year old birthday boy had a fab time!)
There wasn’t any atmosphere. It was sit down and eat. Have been to a few TGIs in various locations and they have been buzzing and I love that but Stevenage restaurant was pretty dead No complaint about the food as it was lovely but please make the place more exciting and enjoyable
Excellent service by the team and special thanks to Justin the manager for looking after us so well. We will be back!
lovely as ever
Well, it’s really gone down hill here. We came for a birthday. We were seated in a filthy booth, opposite a large table which was over flowing with dirty dishes and was not cleared at all whist we were there. The waitress was not welcoming and it was very obvious she didn’t want to be there. None of the staff could answer basic questions about the menu/ ingredients. The drinks were t mixed properly. The table wasn’t reset between courses. Crockery was dirty. Desserts were not served as advertised, birthday cocktail voucher was not honoured as advertised. The staff sang happy birthday to my partner but my god, you could tell they were doing it under duress. The food in general was mediocre and the vegetarian options were not great either. We will never go back. Birthday was ruined.
Sat down but had to wait 15 mins to be seen even though the restaurant wasn’t busy. After this everything was ok
Very slow service and very rude staff. Waited 8 minutes before anybody welcomed us in. We then had to wait 20 minutes to order drinks despite asking a number off staff members. Drinks came separately with few minute intervals. Food was ok. My steak was well done instead of medium rare as requested. All in all I would not recommend and might as well of chucked my money in the drain
Loved the cocktails, came with great advice for the unsure cocktailer... good was great, service was awesome! Our group left very happy and we’re so going back!
Louder than what we are used to but very enjoyable food and great service. Hate the paper strawers. Useful as a chocolate teapot! Got through 5 within a couple of hours!
we arrived at 8.15 (the time we booked the table) and didn’t get seated until almost 9 o’clock. it then took almost half an hour for the food to arrive even though the whole restaurant had emptied out as it was now so late. after we’d finished eating, we then waited another 20 minutes for someone to clear our table even though there was a waitress stood at the table next to us, who had been talking the whole time we’d been eating! all 4 of us had wanted to order dessert but as it was coming up to 10 o’clock, we didn’t want to wait anymore so got the bill and left!
Matthew was the best waiter we have had in a long time.
We had to wait 45 minutes for our main courses which we felt too long.
Antoinet gave us a great service!
Excellent service, my daughter loved the clapping birthday song.
Great food.. awesome cocktails Thoroughly enjoyed the night
Amazing service our waiter was awesome what a memory !
The tacos we ordered for starters where more like soggy wraps they were not crispy tacos at all!!! 😠
The food and drink are always slightly different than elsewhere which is good. The time it took to get served was appalling. Even a draught beer took 20 mins, and on a Sunday late evening there were few diners, and plenty of staff still. Ditto it took 45 mins for the starters to arrive. Fridays could be great however standards here have fallen off a cliff. A stronger manager is clearly needed to drive better times for staff and customers alike. Staff should want to wait on tables rather than chat with colleagues at the hot plate.
Our family of six went to TGI Fridays to celebrate my wife's birthday on Sunday.... firstly they sat us right near the kitchen in a corner that obviously isn't used very often ..... the way they were manhandling the food was awful they had run out of burger sticks so the double stacked burgers were falling over and being put back together by different members of staff one burger was reassembled 4 times by 4 different people 🤢 so we asked to move table which they did as we was fed up with seeing what they did to the food and the constant shouting that goes on in a kitchen was distracting ... then our food came after a VERY long wait ...the burgers we had ordered were dry and literally had 10 chips on them which is totally unacceptable for burgers that are £16 each... Our sons ribs had no BBQ sauce on them so were dry he didn't get the beans that you are meant to go with the kids meal ... my daughters burger was dry plus had no beans 🤦♀️When I asked the waitress where the beans and sauce was her reply was "did you order them " she obviously doesn't know the menu as these come as standard with the kids meals we ordered..... so we asked to see the manager as the standard of food was shocking, the manger came over we explained that the quality of food wasn't acceptable and that we would like to pay for our drink but leave without even starting our food. The manager wasn't happy that we was going to leave without eating so brought us fresh chips and sauce for our sons ribs ... he expressed his apologies and although he wavered the bill the hassle and stressful situation that this whole palaver caused really put a dampener on what should have been a celebrity meal .
When we arrived we were seated as a million times before. Our server arrived and stated to us that food would take 20 minutes from ordering as there was an issue, we agreed it was fine and thought to place our regular order through. Once she has left we realised that a lot of tables were complaining to who we could only assume was the manager. To us this started to make us question whether today was a bad day or not. Around 20 minutes later, I food arrived and was just placed on the table without being passed to as per the usual happy/friendly serve we received. This is when we realised that one of our starters was incorrect! Once we found someone to advise about this problem it was taken from our party memeber and told that it would be a few minutes later. The rest of the party carried on eating, finishing and getting ready for our mains before the correct starter was served. After that was eaten, our mains arrived, all were like-warm at best, with both steaks not cooked how we asked (medium/rare & medium) in stead one was rare and the other well-done. It was agreed across all the party that we wouldn’t complain otherwise we would be there for another hour when we were already under a time constraint! When the bill arrived, we were charged for the starter we never ordered! Once this was complained about it was removed with a snatch out of my hand for the receipt! We paid and left quickly as we were very unhappy! Usually we love attend TGF, love the food and love the service, this time however really made us question as to whether we wish to return again. I hope this was a one off and we will try again, but if this happens again this will be the last time our custom or any of our parties custom will be there within Stevenage.
Had a great evening, lovely food but not very hot, needs to be served as soon as it's cooked, great service, air conditioning needs turning down slightly,we were freezing!Means we didn't stay for another drink as too cold.Other than that, loved it,thanks
