Best TGIF I've been to. Excellent waiter, excellent food with large portions, a most enjoyable experience all round.
Our server was great and very helpful. It’s important that this is noted! The chips I could snap, so overdone it was unbelievable. Ribs also very overdone to the point where they got stuck in my teeth. Mozzarella sticks were delicious and while I didn’t try the chocolate and mint sundae, reports from my boyfriend were that it was incredible! Mixed bag. Not the best TGI visit I’ve ever had but overall not bad.
Very slow service , had to ask 3 times for one drink . Waiters more concerned with talking and joking with each other than serving customers ...
Booked a table as we were going to an event at the Motorpoint Arena yet still had to wait around 20 mins to be seated. Starters arrived relatively quickly but we were still waiting for our drinks.
Visited here in September and thought then that standards had dropped. But just put it day down to an off day. So gave it a try again. There was just 4 of us in the party. The waitress eventually ordered our drinks after I had to get up and ask her. She then got it wrong three times. The food was ordered and this came in sporadic burst. With the last meal a full 15 minutes from the penultimate. The food was luke warm. To cap it all the waitress gave me a bill for another table. Not good. Wont be back.
We have been to TGI Friday's on many occasions and have never been disappointed until yesterday. I had made the reservation a couple of weeks ago as I knew it would be busy with the run up to Christmas and as it was my birthday wanted to go somewhere my children, husband and I would enjoy. When we got there, the lady was unsure of our reservation so had to seat us outside of the main restaurant. The lack of atmosphere in this location affected our experience. We wanted to order drinks there was no diet Coke or come zero available, as a happy birthday I had a token for a free cocktail, however due to the fact they didn't have and cranberry, pineapple and other fruit juices I made do. The cocktail was so full of ice i would have been extremely disappointed if I had to pay for it. Our meals were on the cold side but after waiting a while to receive them, did not have time to send them back. We were not the only ones in the area with cold food. My husband asked for brown sauce and guess what they didn't have that either. So for £78, we were extremely disappointed.
very enjoyable evening. Also, The head waiter for the table was very helpful and efficient.
The only thing we thought wasnt very well planned was that it took a long time for our drinks to come and the pre ordered bottles of lager took longer.maybe more staff needs to be put on when there are christmas parties but apart from that everyone really enjoyed their meals and were very full leaving.will definately visit again soon
Fantastic service and food! Would definitely recommend and will be coming back for more work do’s in the future! Thank you!
Good food, little pricey but ok as a special treat before a show. Drinks are very expensive but there is a nice selection. Drink menu doesn’t mention the draught beers available, preferred these to bottled beers.
Scott was fab as a waiter! Great service!
Arrived earlier than table was booked for and we lucky enough to be seated at a table, we weren't rushed with having our meal or afterwards. Staff were pleasant. Will be back when next in Cardiff.
Fabulous service, food beautiful as always!
We booked our Christmas staff night out months in advance and preordered our meals. Upon arrival we had our special requirements almost ignored, once that was sorted we was then further frustrated with the fact some of the people’s meals we ordered was then out of stock and other meals was not what it said on the menu with things missing, the cocktails was good, and the staff apologiesed for the lack of good service, and discounted us a small amount, however all this fuss made us late for our next engagement. We won’t be using TGI in future for our work functions as the unreliability was a too greater cost to our evening of supposed to be fun night out, turned out to be awful.
(Mixed group of 11) My son and friends had a great time made much more enjoyable by the waitress who served us. She worked her socks off and couldn't help enough. My son's allergy was catered for brilliantly. Only downside was the nightmare of booking 3 times and not getting valid confirmation until the 3rd time as no one was returning my calls to confirm we had a table despite repeatedly giving the booking details. Hopefully this was a one off. Would go again 😊
Shocking service we was nearly 3 hrs to have a 3 course meal. We waited over 1 hr for some drinks to come. Girl who served us was new. She was lovely but didn't have a a clue
Excellent hostvwjo went out of her way
Kelly our server was amazing, she couldn't do enough!! We were a table of 31 and she did not stop running around for us, nothing was too much trouble!!! Recognition needs to be given to her!!!!
Great night out steak cooked as requested waiter as excellent
Really great place to eat. Tasty, cheap and a busy atmosphere.. burgers and wine. Perfect for catching up with my sister. Can’t fault it.
Our waiter was fab and really efficient. Hope you all have a lovely Christmas.
I booked a table for 6 of us, pre Jess Glynn show for 6pm. We were requested to turn up 15 minutes before and select our food via pre order the day before. We were sat down at 5.50pm and our server took our drinks order some 15 minutes later. After 40 minutes I asked where our drinks were. Let alone our pre ordered food. Nothing was fourth coming. We eventually got served some of our drinks after an hour of taking our seats. The food eventually turned up 10 minutes later, a whole hour and 10 minutes after seating. What was the point of a preorder? Wrong starters delivered, along with the Rudolph Roulette. This was no ordinary Roulette, they were ALL soooooo mouth numbing hot. Both dishes ordered. What? winners you may say.... 10 out of 10 ... Nope. Worse was still to come We now waited another 20 minutes, for our mains. Oh dear, I hear you say.... Full rack of Ribs with crunchy fries, and that’s it. No Sweet corn. No Slaw. Asked where it was, that would be anothet 6 minutes the manager said. After waiting another 5 minutes to be asked. The wife’s main meal, of, Roasted vegetables spiked with tequila & lime. Served with a selection of dips and warm tortillas. Nope!!! Never seen a dish like it in all our lives. We have pictures if you would like to see. Resembled more like a Saturday night out, followed by a kabab being thrown up after... Warm tortillas? Nope absolutely Stone cold. We had now been there over 2 hours. Desert? Naaaaa Gave it a miss. Thought we better see the show rather than wait any longer and completely ruin our evening. To be fair, the manager did, try and make this bad experience better financially. But the damage was done. I will, categorically say, I will NEVER eat in a TGI’s ever again. Shocking!!!
Our server forgot to put our drinks through, served us the wrong drinks and then took away our starters before we had finished!! Not ideal!
It was very busy and that is appreciated however, we were sat for over ver 40 minutes before anyone took our order.
