Lovely staff, just lacking slightly in atmosphere
We had a table booked for 2030 but only got seated at 2045. Although we ordered immediately it took half an hour for our starter to arrive and 2 hours for our main to be prepared by which time we needed to leave so we had our boxed to take away. It was my sons birthday which was very disappointing. The manager was lovely and we ended up not paying for the meal but it was very disappointing. We would have preferred to pay and have our meal to celebrate my sons 13th birthday.
Had an absolutely shocking birthday meal here for the little ones 10th birthday. Reservation was at 7:45 didn’t get fed until 22:25 with countless complaints and chasing. When we got the food we had to get it eaten in 5 minutes as the child was falling asleep - didn’t have time to get the famous happy birthday song as he just wanted to go to bed. From all the complaints not even a sorry from the management. DO NOT VISIT TGI FRIDAYS SOLIHULL.
Very busy but expected as it was a Saturday night and waited a long time for food. However, the staff that served us were attentive , warm and friendly and kept our drinks topped up.
Slightly cold with the door open. Everything else was good
Great service, friendly staff
The service was superb, the staff really couldn't do enough for us despite being extremely busy. The atmosphere at TGI SolIhull is always fantastic.
We were kept waiting for our table being told it was not ready so we waited at the bar, I had to ask about our table after waiting for just over half hour we were shown to a table but it was right in front of the door and was cold, so we asked for another table which was done the duty manager come over to check that everything was ok with the table and gave us complementary drinks this was very good of him. We ordered our meal unfortunately my husband's meal was wrong and cold, again the manager came over to apologise. We couldn't of asked for a better manager or the way he and his staff handled it thank you.
Booked for 8:15, arrived at 8:10, was asked to wait for 10 minutes, was still waiting at 8:40 - asked when our table will be ready, was advised another 10 minutes... We was still waiting at 9pm and then I had to leave as I was then running late for an event I had to make for 9:30 and still hadn’t ate! The worst experience I have ever had at TGIF, me and my friend were shocked with the service and couldn’t believe we were made to wait 45 minutes for a table we reserved and still never got it.
Didn't get served drinks to start for a long time, same for food order and ordered a drink when meals arrived that did not arrive till meal was done.
I booked a table for 6 at half 7 didn't get seated til 8 when they got our table was to small had to wait again for table finally hot table then had to wait over hour for food
Lovely service and a lovely night
Ribeye steak had at least 4 bug chunks of fat in it, when you're paying £20 you expect a better cut of meat, didn't like the food served on a slate, nothing wrong with a plate. Dissapointing selection of puddings, and £6 for what was basically a glass of ice cream as there was hardly any cookie dough pieces in it and not much sauce either, staff were friendly though.
A centrally located and lively TGI s.
A group of us came to tgis on Sunday and as it wasn’t very busy we was able to get our table earlier. We was sat down and waited about 10 minutes before anyone came to take our order and asked for our food order even though we had yet to order drinks. We ordered our drinks and food and waited 20 minutes for our drinks. We asked if we was able to move tables due to the sun blinding us and we heard a staff memeber moaning that we had did so although we had asked. 3 of us got our food and we waited around 5 minutes for our friends food. We had then ordered two milk shakes and two puddings, the one milkshake came over which tasted vile. We was then told that the second milkshake wasn’t able to be made due to running out of bananas which was fine but I wasn’t sure why we wasn’t told this or asked if we wanted a different milkshake before the other came over. When I raised these problems with the service to the staff member she said well actually I’ve serviced you and I’ve been doing it alone and it’s really busy. We noticed that it wasn’t so busy, there was a plently of staff around (12 we counted) standing around. We was made to feel that we shouldn’t be not impressed with our service and we shouldn’t have said anything. When we left the staff member that serviced us went over to another and we over heard her talking about us/our complaint. We defiantly won’t be coming back to the Solihull branch!
had to wait a long time in between courses and to ask for bill.
The waitress was lovely but the food was not to standard. Half the plates didn't have everything they should have, one was meant to have corn on the cob and something else but there was hardly anything on the plate. Food was cold and steak was overcooked. I requested a bean burger and got a cheese burger. Wasn't very happy at all for the price.
Food nice but not as good as other tgis weve visited even though same items off menu. Service very slow but ok. Would still go back
Very loud at times so feel like you are shouting to the person opposite you
Overall rubbish experience to be honest. Service was appalling, we felt as though we were forgotten about as it took 15-20 minutes just for drinks to arrive. Food was cold and after waiting around two hours since we actually sat down we couldn’t be bothered to complain. I do not recommend it.
We booked a table but had to wait nearly an hour for it, we did get complimentary cocktails
Brilliant my daughter had a lovely birthday meal with friends everything was spot on 👌🏻
We were a table of 6 and had pre booked. Stood waiting for 20 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Took half an hour for our drinks to arrive. 15 minutes after taking our food order they came and told us they didn’t have the patty for one of the burgers and instead replaced it with just mushrooms and courgette without discounting the price Very bad service on this occasion
Brilliant friendly service . Great food and drinks.
