We took my daughter for her 8th Birthday yesterday lunchtime and had an awful meal and really bad service, so very disappointing, my daughter want able to eat her food and I struggled with mine! My duck fajitas was burnt and my daughters hand burger was pink inside!!!! Dreadful meal and dreadful service
Very enjoyable meal for a party of 25 people.
The staff were friendly, but lots of hanging around. Floor was filthy, full of straws, napkins etc. The table next to us wasn’t cleaned. Place looked like it needed a good clean. Not as good as it used to be and we love TGI’s.
Six people on a very small table. Could do with some large tables.
Great night, great atmosphere and last but not least great food! Love it here just a little pricey on the drinks.
Number of drinks that were listed on menu were not avaliable. We asked for 4 types of drinks and was told that they had ran out.
Shortly after arriving we were told our table was rebooked again for 8:30pm meaning we would have only an hour to eat a 3 course meal. The manager who advised us of this was rude and implied this was our fault as 2 members of our party arrived 10 minutes late. She offered no resolution for this issue or an apology for that matter. The food was okay but was brought out one on top of the other with very little time in between courses and we were not asked whether we were even ready for the next course. The service was impersonal and we were clearly being watched and talked about for the entirety of our meal as they needed the table back for the next booking. I would even go as far as to say that we actually felt a little hostility from the servers when we then didn’t leave a tip due to the poor experience. Upon reviewing my booking email we should have had our table until 10pm. We left at around 9:30 without a thank you or goodbye from staff. Safe to say I will not be returning.
We had a booking for 21 people and our waitress TYRA was A1 from start to finish she was energetic , attentive and friendly Nothing was too much and we we never had to wait too long for any of our requests After dining at this restaurant many times I must say she stood out from the rest A real diamond for your team Thank you for a stress free experience
Very busy, expected this time of year but staff very stressed and not smiley when approached with a question.
Food was lovely. The music was so loud that we had to shout so couldn't wait to get out of the place. Shame really.
We celebrated a birthday and Anthony (Deputy Manager) was very attentive to our needs, especially because we all have different food allergies. Despite this, Anthony was able to advise us on ‘safe’ foods and drinks for us and we all enjoyed a thoroughly delicious meal. The only disappointment was that the ‘Happy birthday song’ request was not provided, even though this was specified on our online booking form and mentioned 3 times while at the restaurant. Apart from that we would definitely return for another celebration. Many thanks to Anthony and the Solihull team 😊
we pre ordered and still had to wait over an hour before the starters came out. we then waited a further hour for our mains the restaurant was very cold. service was very poor drinks was ordered repeatably but still did not arrive. we was advised the brownie may contain nuts as we had person with nut allergy but then this person was then served a sunday containing brownies. we paid 449.00 for an extremely poor experience.
The service was very slow, even though restaurant was not busy, cold inside restaurant. I couldn't eat my corn, as it burned my lips when started to eat, mention to waiter, couldnt hear his reply, with the loud music. Certainly not value for money it cost us.
But loud but the food is lovely
Music was 2 loud for a Sunday lunch. Had to shout at each other and waitress to communicate and order food. Families and young kids present so not ideal for them. Save loud music for evenings!!! Waiting staff were present but Very slow waiting for our food. Not much pudding menu to choose from. Waiting staff just walked past menus and food on the floor that came from other tables with small kids. Could of caused an accident to them and customers. Stop pick them up make it safe!!!! Emergency escape door opposite had a broken handle and sharp screw hanging out.
I will not be dining here again! Nothing went right booked a table for 12 at 19.30 we didn’t get seated til 21.30 due to double bookings! Couldn’t get drinks from bar waited over half an hour to be served at the bar, even then they didn’t give us the correct drinks, once finally seated they brought a wrong starter, told one of the vegan girls that they had run out of vegetables, then complained and was told they actually did have vegetables but they just hadn’t been prepped, they then brought us the wrong mains mine arrived when all the others had finished just an absolute nightmare and embarrassment as I had organised it for my works Christmas do, many had to leave before we even got seated, the only positive is the food was ok and the manager was very apologetic
Me and my friend came for our christmas meal, everything was lovely and perfect, but the music was very very loud! We was having to shout to each other, the waitress kept asking us twice what we was saying. We are regulars at TGI's in Resorts World as that is our local one and the music is never that loud there.
Served the wrong food and no explanation, not offered an alternative when 40 minutes after ordering we were told an option was not available, generally no care around our experience and no care taken when ordering 4 of the same dish and they all come out different, disappointed!
Great food, slightly dead atmosphere....
Even though our order was delayed the manager personally apologised and offered us a generous discount. They didn't have to but it makes a big difference to how they treat their customers :)
sent duck back over cooker and dry. sent sweetcorn back twice as dry. manager very good and waiter staff lovely. floors dirty and hasn't been scrubbed in a long long time
The waitress was amazing and so friendly with the babies
So, this wasn’t our first visit to TGIs Solihull, but we hadn’t been there for like a year or even two. I definitely had great expectations due to my past experiences, however this time it was rather disappointing. The drinks are always great , and the jack daniels wings will always be the same -amazing. The steak was far from perfection, imagine ordering medium rare and receiving steak with no hint of pink in the middle 😅 no way right? The service though was great. All the employees smiling and happy to help. Offered free drinks while we waited for the other steak and was every so sorry for our troubles. Felt a little bad as it isn’t the waitresses that should feel embarrassed about the food they having to serve. There’s definitely room for improvement. And in food industry I would say consistency might be the key.
Food was excellent, but unfortunately think we got the short straw with sitting, we was seated right by entrance to kitchen, and twice we witness 2 different members off staff crying, seemed to be a few disagreements between staff, which wasn't very nice as was celebrating ours son's 12th birthday.
I booked a table for 4 persons 1230pm for a special occasion. I changed the booking for 1345pm for 3 persons as one of my friends won't be able to come . When we get there before 1345pm, The reserved was already been crossed out and we have to wait 40 min. It was lunchtime and can be busy, but what is the point of booking a table when we get there you still have to wait that long... we are no difference to those who just walk in.
