Our waiter Tom was gr8, very friendly, helpful & really made our night.
Fantastic service. Our Waiter David was exceptional.
We didn’t end up staying due to a disappointment with the seating, your two people tables are ridiculously small. There’s no room to take your coat off and we felt as if we were sitting with the table besides us. Therefore we left before staying for food.
Good service and great atmosphere
Lovely family birthday meal. Very good menu. Waitress very good. Would recommend. Will be visiting again.
I have been to TGI Friday at Thurrock numerous times and I have never had any issues with the food. I have recently moved to Romford and I thought going to the Romford branch was mould be easier. Unfortunately for me, I read the reviews of the branch on my way to the restaurant. Other reviewers had said that the food were tasteless and cold. I ignored it and thought I will experience it my self. Upon arriving, we were sat and we were not attended to until after 10 minutes. Our orders were taken and writhing 10 minutes our food came. Our starter was classic Jack Daniel’s crazed wings. The waiter smelt and I almost threw up. The waiters were young and were very untidy. Generally the staffs smelt. Upon receiving the food, the taste wasn’t the usual TGI Friday’s taste and it was cold. After having the starter, myself and my husband were already put off and we had no choice but carrying on eating as we didn’t want to waste our money, however we didn’t enjoy it. This experience has put me off the chain. I never want to taste another Jack Daniel’s crazed wings. When we left the restaurant, I then searched on google to read the reviews of the Romford’s branch. The majority of the comments were that the foods were cold and that the staff smelt. This make me believe that this is a normal occurance at this branch. Between 2 of us, we spend close to £50 and it ruined our night out. I would recommend you avoid if you don’t want to be disappointed.
I was shocked with how bad the service was, never have a been to a TGIs and thought I won’t be going back there but I did with the TGI at Romford. I ordered a drink when my food first came out and it never came, we then sat there after finishing our food for another 40 minutes until I could get someone’s attention to clear our table. It wasn’t nice at all we could of walked out for there without even paying our bill and no one would of notice. Will not be returning that’s for sure.
The service was the worst I’ve ever encountered. Multiple delays in food. (40 mins between courses) no one clearing table or basic service is asking for drinks. No new cutlery or napkins. When food arrived it was in batches so not all eating togther. Once this was all raised with the manager the problems didn’t go away. Really really disappointing.
Overall good night as was with kids food was nice and our waiter David was very good and great entertaining the kids and being helpful with our Order so was a good night and will be back
Good service and lots of tasty food.
Service was poor No atmosphere nothing like lakeside branch which is buzzing and good vibes. Everything we asked for they didn't have. Would not go back agai
Early days service was poor at TGI Fridays in Romford, but the service I had there over the weekend was much better and I think that they are bringing it together at last, would definitely try again and if you've had poor service in there perhaps give it another go.
The staff seemed to be run off their feet. They were obviously covering too many tables. Although our food came in reasonable time, drinks took forever. They could have done with another member of staff just dealing with serving & delivering drinks.
Potato skins burnt, still eating my starter and mains arrive, no cutlery or napkins. 2nd visit and this was just as bad as my 1st visit. £3.10 for a coke that was 95% ice or you kidding me?
The service at TGI's Romford was terrible and sadly really lets TGI's down. On speaking to a few others they agreed with me, so guessing we didn't even have an off day. I feel this really needs to be addressed as it was really bad.
Everything was reall nice
We got the Christmas set menu and my burrito was terrible, float and soggy, flavours were nice but very disappointing dish, I took pictures if you want to see. Cocktails tasted watered down too and dessert were nothing special. Over an ok experience but forgettable.
A lovely evening. The staff where really helpful from start to finish.
I loved the food and milkshake and cant wait to come back for more!!
The over priced for chips and burgers. The service was poor and no variety on the menu.
The severe was excellent. Xx
The food was lovely and waitress was nice and friendly to us and kids. But the length of time waiting to take a ore order , and between starters mains and puddings was far to long. To order and receive our drinks took a long time and over twenty mins from asking for our bill to receiving it . It was not busy and no real reason for such delays . This would put us all off from returning to this restaurant .
CONSIDERING IT WASNT VERY BUSY WE HAD TO KEEP ASKING SOMEONE TO COME AND TAKE VARIOUS ORDERS FOR FOOD AND DRINK. THE IRISH LADY WAS VERY HELPFUL. FOOD WAS NOT GREAT LUKE WARM AND THE COLESLAW WAS DEF NOT APPEALING. WE WENT BECAUSE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE EXCITING AS A BIRTHDAY. BUT DIDNT GIVE YOU THAT PERSONAL TOUGH LIKE THE LAKESIDE BRANCH.
worst experience at a tgi restsurant. where do I start. waited 20 mins at table before we were greeted by our table waiter. anothe r20 mins for drinks to arrive and then only part of the order and waited another 15 mins before i asked for the other drinks to be served. starters were nice when arrived. one main course had cold chips and were replaced. We then had to wait another 30 mins for our desert order to be taken and probably as long to arrive. we even had ro find someone to ask for the bill.... overall a poor show from TGI, wouldnt mind paying the hefty bill if service and food was rop draw but its not!
Diabolical service, had two tables, one with 10 children aged 9/10 for a party & another with 4 adults, we arrived at 4.30 and were still waiting fir desserts at 6.40! 5 children received desserts, then another 4 after 15 mins. The last two waited another 15 mins after that. The poor waitress who only started the day befits asked the manager for help and was basically told to get on with it! Despite struggling she was very helpful and apologetic
