The only reason one star is because Nick the guy serving us, was an absolute star! He waited on us with refills, and took good care of our order, checking it three times! The food and management was a disaster! All food coming out at different times, in bad condition, even a hair within my burger! One of our dinners came out 30 mines after the rest of us had eaten and table cleared away! No way to celebrate my sons 16th birthday! Disappointed is an understatement!
It a very busy night and staff was overwhelmed. Food was not too great Standard. Our burgers and ribs were overcooked and dry. Overall the food was substandard for the price.
Can't fault the waitress who was doing her best, but the food was either cooked too much (ribs) or undercooked (sweet potato fries). Food runner gave dirty cutlery then when asked to replace returned with more dirty cutlery. There was very obviously staff members dining on a table near by and the rest of the staff were checking in with them and it was quite clear they were talking about our table as the staff blatantly kept turning around to look at us when they stopped by to chat to them. I work as a restaurant manager, and it certainly would not be acceptable for my team to make a table feel uncomfortable, on or off the clock. We were there for a birthday and overall the experience was not great.
We was asked around 8 times while eating did we want the bill Waiting for our starters While eating starters ect... Then eating mains someone walked over to pick the plate off of the table and walk of, when we complained I got told there is nothing they can do which I think is disgusting
David our server - was fantastic. Really polite, really friendly. It was busy but he still had time to check on us throughout our meal
Really good service, have a peanut allergy and the staff and manager was extremely reassuring
Nice restaurant, really friendly staff and good food. It's tending to feel fairly expensive now though. You can spend the same in London and get a superior me, so I think TGI need to consider their prices.
The staff were really friendly and went out for f the way to make us visit great
The customer service was excellent and the waitress was friendly and polite.
Our waitress Molly was Fantastic- very friendly and attentive
Loved the birthday song
Would never go to this TGI again
Absolutely disgusting service and attitude of staff
All our food arrived but 2 was delayed about approximately 15mins. Drinks was ordered twice but never received. When food 2 late dishes were luke warm. Food was not up to it’s usual standards. Waitress was moved from Our from our table meaning no one asked how our food was and our next allocated waiter returned when we was finished.
Great, lively venue.
Our waitress Victoria is the best waitress we have had and we have been quite a few times, polite friendly and made sure we always had drinks when ours was running low, she told us the history behind the business and was really nice to talk to
Lovely food great cocktails menu
Really nice food and very good service
Waited 10 minutes to be seated in a restaurant that was nearly empty. Then waited another half hour before we got our drinks we ordered. Service was shocking. Made everything seem like it was to much of an effort to serve us. Use to love TGI. after this experience i will not be coming back. Really disappointed
Very nice waitress
We absolutely adore TGIs in Romford, we come here at least once a week, usually more! Food is incredible and we love all the staff who work here, especially both David’s!
I go to tgi fridays quite a lot with my partner I think we have gone to near enough all of them and I have to say of all the ones I’ve been to Romford was the worst the service was slow when they wasn’t busy and you would end up waiting 45/1 hour for your meals drinks were nice but not worth how much your paying and didn’t have much description of what was in them, food was minimal nothing to special...over all my worst experience yet
It was good but the food prices are small.
Hi I was actually a little bit disappointed we arrived early and was seated straight away which was good as it was almost empty our table wasn’t great it was hot and bright and in the sun we ordered our food which took ages to arrive considering it wasn’t busy at all the food was Luke warm and the chips where all stuck together and my 5 year olds dinner was cold we didn’t complain as the children where hungry the actual food was nice that the adults consumed but Luke warm
