Service and staff were terrible, booked a table and had to wait and extra hour to be seated, was told we have no other option even though there was a huge table available but was also told it was booked, we left after 10pm and no one was seated at the empty table, was obvious no one had booked it but was told it was. 1 member of staff very rude even though it was us who had the problem. I enjoy going to tgi Friday but would never return to Romford branch. If you go there be prepared to be disrespected by staff and wait over an hour for a table you have already booked, it was my daughter's 9th bday also!!

Very poor service and no quality food for that money. Very busy, therefore servers delayed in taking orders, confused and complete chaos. Initial gave wrong table, then moved us, a party of 10, to another table. It was our first experience, but total dissapointment. Do not recommend

My sons birthday meal was completely ruin. After being seated and service at 5.15 we waited an hour for our starters to come out for the children two of the meals had beans and they looked like they had been sitting there for a long time and the other children’s meal came out stone cold. We then had about waiter changed they had swooped. We then waited another hour for our mains to come out for only half the tables food to turn no one could give us any reason why this had happened. It was a Tuesday evening we were one of the first ones to arrive absolutely disgusted. When they sing happy birthday he didn’t even receive a hat. So thanks for taking up our whole evening and ruining my sons birthday evening never again will I be coming back to you

this was my first visit to the new TGI's in romford. Service was slow & was not very busy at the restaurant, when food came it was overcooked, tasted burnt, dry and wasn't very enjoyable. We ordered the Rib eye steak & Mac n cheese burger,

table next to us left dirty for our entire visit although staff walked past empty handed could have taken with them. Service is not great food brought over with no cutlery we waited 40 mins just to order food. Service is shocking compared to other tgis I have been to someone needs to be there over seeing staff are doing what they need to be doing!

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. However a few things went wrong; we were served the wrong starter, we're not given any sauces and had to ask, then were not given any cutlery for deserts. Finally we were served a very watery hot chocolate, and when we mentioned the manager told the waitress that there was no hot chocolate in the machine. However, all of this was easily sorted out and was minor points, we enjoyed our meal and look forward to returning.

Table booked for 7 people at 5.15 put in tiny booth. Took drink order but had to wait 20 minutes to get. Service was shocking throughout, not even busy in there. No knives and forks when food arrived had to ask and then wait a further 5 minutes. Cardboard boxes and rubbish all in customers eye line. I love Tgi’s but first time visiting Romford and was utterly disappointed.

Usually regulars but we’ve been put off since our last visit. Food was disgusting, chicken was grisly and soggy and the regular cocktail we got didn’t even taste the same as it usually does. Drinks took ages, we didn’t actually receive them until after our meal. Not impressed and disappointed now

The waitress was absolutely lovely the reviews are so bad online so was worried but it was so nice we were moved to a whole section for my whole party for my daughter 16 the staff were so helpful about it and then the food and drinks came out within good timing and the food was lovely we all really enjoyed

We were celebrating my son's birthday and booked a table for 7.30 for 4 people. Thomasin was our waitress. She was very polite and friendly. We placed our drinks order and then our food order at 750. At about 810 we ordered 2 more beers. At 815 we still had no starters or beers and had not seen our waitress since we placed the order. We happened to be sitting by the service hatch and could see at least 12 main meals sitting there under the lamps and nobody taking them to tables. Eventually at 820, 2 of our 4 starters arrived by a different waitress. She dumped them down and disappeared before we could ask for cutlery and where the other 2 starters were! We eventually caught thomasin and asked what was happening. She investigated and it turned out that 2 starters had gone through to come out with the mains, not sure why? She apologised and got the cutlery, then rushed the other 2 starters through and went and got our 2 beers, which had been sitting on the bar for ages, as we could see them!. The starters arrived 10 mins later, were tasty and we enjoyed the food, but having to eat separately is not ideal ! My daughter watched the waitress pick up our mains from the serving hatch, they hapoened to be the ones that had been sitting there ready for at least 35 mins! We all ordered burgers. When they arrived the buns were like rock and the inside was slightly warm , but not hot. At this point the manager was called over. She apologised and said they were short of staff. We had to then wait for new meals to be cooked. When the food arrived it was hot and tasty, we had a couple of pieces of cutlery that had food stuck to them as well , but by this point you kind of loose interest! The manager adjusted our food bill and apologised. I am grateful of being offered a discount, but when I go out for dinner I would rather pay the full price and not have to keep moaning. I come out to relax and to be honest left pretty frustrated and disappointed. I believe that good customer service starts as you walk in. I should be told "sorry we are short staffed this evening, service may be a bit slower than usual" I can then decide whether to chance staying or not. Expectations are very important. I don't think the restaurant was very busy, I just think the staff need training more in customer service and the chefs need to realise that cooking food early is not acceptable. Sorry to put down the manager, but I really think she had no clue what her staff were doing most if the time. I saw them standing around by the kitchen. Waiters should be constantly seen around and checking their tables to see if everything is ok. I will not be returning to Romford again.

Went there for a birthday. Overall a great atmosphere. We were a party of 8. We all waited at least 40 minutes for food to arrive and they brought extra which we didn't ask for. It was hard trying to find someone to ask for extra drinks and to get some attention for the bill also. There were a lot of children running around and jumping off the stairs which is a health and safety matter if they were to hurt themselves. Food was great. I do think a refill machine should be added in the restaurant to give less stress to the bar which is was under at the time. Also less ice! Overall a good experience and we would revisit.

Staff try there best, but this is poorly managed no deserts we wanted all run out no sweet potato fries or hot chocolate Drinks left on the bar for ages frozen cocktails where like juice , ice in glasses where half melted for other drinks. Starters come out after 45 mins off ordering with dinner coming out before we’d even finished , then another lot off starters come with the dinner which we sent back as we’d already had it. Food all come out at different times so some had finished by the time it had come out. Waiter had to make so many different excuses for such poor service, as a TGI restaurant I have high standers in mind these standers are really poor I won’t be going back to a TGI restaurant again due to this service. Really disappointed
