Despite getting an email confirming my booking and then another email the night before confirming it again, the restaurant had no record of the booking at all. Luckily they were quite empty. And despite being quite empty, the music was playing so loudly we couldn't have a conversation at the table. Altogether, a very unpleasant experience even though the food was quite adequate.
The food and service was lovely however the cocktails were of a very poor quality for the price that they are. Having previously had cocktails at TGI’s we were very much looking forward to them however we were left disappointed. The appearance of them was nothing like the pictures as they were very poorly presented and did not taste very nice. We had to send them back due to being unhappy and made it known to the waiter. You could improve the appearance of the cocktails by making more effort with presentation and on the taste of them. Other than this we had a lovely meal the food was great the drinks just let it down which was our main reason for visiting.
Good service, quick waiting time! Easy to book!
We were a big party of 16, well looked after. Didn’t have to wait at all, the staff were very attentive
On arrival the reservation wasn’t showing on the system however a table was found for us . First lot of fries were burnt and had to be sent back food otherwise was tasty the cocktails were on the weak side and as such poor value as all ice !!!
Had to wait a long time for our food. My dish was very dry and had been sitting for a while, it was meant to be on a hot skillet but it was hot or sizzling!. Steaks were covered in pepper. Awful meal and wouldn't recommend at all.
Staff were friendly,and helpful.
Staff were all lovely and attentive! However, when our food arrived we had to ask for cutlery...I requested 8oz serloin steak with double veg. When my meal came the veg was very very salty? The waitress came and apologised and offered to replace it. She did come back with more however, this was only 1 portion not the double portion I had asked for originally and it was dry and shrivelled - like it had been left under a lamp and basically consisted of broccoli - not the broccoli, green beans and peppers on my original plate...by this point I had already eaten my steak!! The waitress asked if this veg was any better? I explained it wasn’t and she offered to remove my whole meal from the bill which was a lovely unexpected gesture. I love TGI and as a family we eat here regularly...it was a shame on this occasion (my daughters birthday) that it wasn’t up o it’s usual standard however, the staff were great and handled it all well considering we were a fairly large party of 9 🙂
Very nice food with a lovely atmosphere, highly recommended
Food was nice but quite expensive Waitress was pleasant and friendly
I don’t understand why children’s meals come out after their parents or other adults they are with. I find this rather bizarre.
It took almost an hour for our food to be brought out and as we were dining with 6 children it wasn’t really what you’d expect from a family restaurant.
The staff at Northampton were outstanding, the girls at the reservation desk were so helpful, the waiters were terrific, the speed of service was excellent. Only comment was the fact that my meal was not as good as usual but they were trying to serve 26 people at once so a lot of pressure on kitchen and waiters.
Excellent food, friendly atmosphere and good service.
Great service, quick but not too quick, the waitress was friendly. There weren't very many other people in when we went which is unusual for the restaurant we went to. Overall happy and would go again.
Really enjoyed the night, Christina was lovely however she seemed to be rushed off her feet while other workers seemed to be not doing much. Food and drink was nice.
Enjoyed our visit - very, very busy but food was good and service was outstanding.
Very happy with my visit.
Food not great again. Bland tasting and very over priced for the food we received, service was amazing on the other hand. Can't remember our waiters name but he couldn't do enough for you.
Seated quickly. Great service, nice cocktails and delicious food.
We regularly visit TGI's Northampton, however, our latest visit wasn't the best. The lady that seated came to take our order wasn't particularly friendly. She wasn't dressed like a normal waitress but all in black, sorry, don't know what her job title was. The food was ok, though my girlfriends bacon was cold in her burger, we waited a while to raise it with someone but no one came past our table so she just ate it as the rest of her dinner was getting cold. Unfortunately the waiter that did our check back smelt of B.O. which wasn't pleasant when we were eating our food, overall not a great eating experience. I am pleased to say however, that the colleague serving behind the bar was great, even though the poor fella was struggling with a cold he was up beat, helpful and offered great service, we had a couple of cocktails which were great. Overall our experience of TGI's Northampton was a 4 out 10..!
I was quite annoyed with the service when we got the wrong order which we didn't order and there wasn't enough food in stock and they still took the order. And ended up adding the price of wrong ordered food in the bill; which luckily picked up by my family otherwise I would've paid 40 bucks more than my actual order...and my family Hasbro wait for quite a long for the food...
Visited for a birthday meal out on a Wednesday night when the restaurant was about 60% full. It didn't have the lively atmosphere it used to have, just loud music. The food was good but afraid to say that the service was poor, some main course plates were left on the table while one of us had dessert and were still on the table when we left after paying the bill Hope for a better experience next time.
Had a great time with family and friends
