There was a small issue prior to the day with the automatic confirmation service but delighted to say everything could not have been better from then on. We had a large group of 18 so the starters took a while but well worth the wait as the food was fantastic, no issues at all which is fab. My partner was 50 so We were very clear as didn't want any singing (it would have ruined his evening) needless to say this was adhered to but They bought a slice of your lovely cake out in a box which was so discrete and in our eyes perfect. We will definitely be back and i couldn't praise the evening high enough, what wonderful staff you do have. Well done and thank you Laura
Slow service. Child's drink served last after 4 adults drinks served separately.
On entering the restaurant we were greeted by a waitress that made us feel like we were an inconvenience, regardless of the fact we had pre-booked a table. She looked around for some time before taking us to table where she put the menu down quickly and walked away without a word. We were then sat for 15-20 minutes without anyone saying hello or taking a drinks order. Eventually our waitress came over and apologised for the confusion because she thought we were someone else’s table. She then took our drinks and food orders together. My partner was annoyed by the delay and decided he wasn’t going to spend any more than he had to and asked for a coke (free refills) to drink rather than the beer he had originally planned to order. The other waitress working the same section took the time to come and apologise and let us know she had seen us waiting and prompted her colleague aswell as informing the manager - I imagine if we were sat in her section we would have had a much better experience! Our food arrived very quickly and was really nice. Well done to the guys in the kitchen! Considering the hick-up at the start I was surprised that our waitress didn’t check in on us while we were eating, the other waitress on our section was checking in on her tables, asking if everything was okay with their meals and getting customers more drinks. We sat with our empty plates and glasses for around 15 minutes before being asked if we wanted dessert. Our plates were taken and she returned with 3 dessert menus for the two of us. When she returned to take our order I asked for the carrot cake she asked if I just wanted 1?! I’m not a skinny girl but I thought that was an odd question. My boyfriend ordered a cheesecake and still no refills were offered on his drink. In the 15 minutes we were waiting for our puds, 4 couples left on our section but no tables were cleared. The waitress then arrived with 1 unfinished carrot cake and turned to my partner and said ‘I’m sorry, your cheesecake is still frozen, they forgot to get them out - would you like something else?’ As you can imagine by this point we are pretty annoyed, he declined a different dessert as well as her offer to share mine. I asked her to take mine away as I wasn’t going to sit and eat mine without him having one. She let out an awkward laugh and left. If we were notified about the cheesecake just after ordering it wouldn’t have been an issue but to be told when there was one dessert already sat on the table was crazy. She bought the bill over and told us she had given a discount on the drinks, then thankfully the manager arrived which saved us having to ask for him and having to wait some more.... He was clearly stressed, he was rubbing his head and face and was very aware of our waitresses shortcomings and had no issues sharing his feelings on her underperformance. He did however apologise about our experience and took care of our bill. This is the second time me and my partner have visited in the evening and received sub-standard service. It is such a shame because the food is great. Its a 30 minute drive to get to TGIs from where we live and we don’t get an evening off together very often, truly ruined our night.
I have recently become vegan and wanted to try your limited menu, the starter of edame beans with pineapple sounded great but it was gross. Real lack of effort with that dish so ended up with a bowl of fries
It was my sons 18th Birthday and the service we received from Kate was over and beyond our expectation. Everyone in our party commented on how superb the cocktails and the food was to the atmosphere from all the other staff members. I would throughly recommend TGI to anyone celebrating anything. A huge THANK YOU to Kate again she truly is an asset to TGI.
I would like to mention Stephanie who was our server that evening. She was attentive and made my sons evening extra special. There was also a gentleman on duty at the door when we came in, again he was so polite lovely and engaging with my son for his birthday. The food came out slow but it was pretty busy. I have posted a video and review on the offical TGI fridays twitter page please have a look at that.
The food is absolutely amazing. I recommend it to everyone. But the downside is ,the place will do with a bit more cleaning ,in special the toilets, they were quite dirty ..and the music is way to loud..it's imposible to have a conversation with people you're having dinner at the table..you have to shout at them.
Wasn’t very busy but it took 25 minutes to get drinks (including water). Although the food was great and is a place I always come back too.
Great food , prompt service, lovely polite waitress. Only negative was that It was quite cold in the restaraunt. I'm a big bloke but even I had too keep my coat on.
Waitress very friendly. Got served quite quickly for a Friday as went early at 6:15 before cinema.
Service is always very good. Polite staff and helpful.
The service from our waitress Katie made the meal exra special!
Ordered more drinks when the food came and had finished my food and waited another 5 minutes before the server came back and said they were having issue's cleared the table and took another 5 minutes before receiving my drink at which point I just asked for the bill. Apart from not having any drinks with dinner everything else was fine and I enjoyed the food.
All the staff that served us were really friendly and there was a great atmosphere. The quality of the food was excellent.
Dirty knives and forks on table. Food took a long time to arrive. Had to wait ages for bill despite asking for it twice.
Slow service, awful expensive food, never to return.
Waitress was very attentive
Food was good and reasonably priced. The service was quick and a friendly atmosphere.
We really enjoyed our meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Waiter kept moaning about how busy it was to us as if we were his colleagues. Was very unprofessional. Took over twenty minutes to receive just our drinks
Horrible service very rude workers
Service was excellent. Happy environment. Chicken fajitas were lovely although a little too many onions and not enough peppers.
I booked a table for 9 at TGIs Sixfields for my sons 8th bday. The staff were fantastic warm and friendly. Our waitress was really good and made us all feel welcome. This is a great family restaurant and my son with his 3 friends were encouraged to go and look for the clues from their table packs that they were given. The food was tasty and the Long Island Iced tea was sublime.!! Really enjoyed it and we will be back again. Thank you TGIs
